This is my card using an image from the Daisy & Friends at Christmas CD, I have coloured her with a combination of ProMarkers and FlexMarkers and used distress ink to make the sky background.  I also tore some strips of white paper and added some glitter to form the snow at the base of the image.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

Blue Christmas

Good Morning everyone, it's time for a new Challenge over at The Crafty Pad and the lovely Dawn has chosen the theme - Christmas is Coming - so we would love to see all of your Christmas related projects.

I seem to be having a bit of a colour theme with my Crafty Pad DT cards at the moment the last one was Pink Butterflies and this time it's Blue Christmas, I have used the delightful Crafty Pad image Christmas Tree Trio and this is my card:

I printed the image out three times onto some pale blue papers from the Bearly Mine Designs Christmas Wishes collection and added the brown with my Cocoa ProMarker, as is usual with me I have cut the images out to create some decoupage layers.  The base paper is also from the Bearly Mine Designs Christmas Wishes collection and my card stock is Core'dinations, the only embellishment is some Ice Stickles added to the snowflakes on the image.

I have decorated the inside of my card using the same papers and a smaller image:

Dearest One

This is my card for this weeks CD Sunday Challenge - Poetry Corner, I decided to use this cute little House Mouse image from Joanna Sheen's Just the Two of Us Decoupage set.  The CD part of my card is the papers - they are from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse Inserts CD, the base has large hearts on it - I've been quite successful at covering them up completely and the smaller hearts are from one of the inserts on the CD.

You would not believe the problems I've had trying to post this card, first when I downloaded the photographs I had taken, because of the angle I had taken the shots at, the little mouse looked like he had four ears and then when I tried to insert my watermark it kept coming up really huge, almost obliterating the entire image, even though the settings were all the same as usual.  So back to the drawing board and start again.

I followed the sketch from Sketch 'n' Stash, I really like this sketch and this is the second card I have made using it.  My card stock is Core'dinations and the sentiment tags are LOTV, I used my Fiskars edge punch on the central border and corner - the buttons and twine are from my stash.

This is a close up of the little poem for those of you who have not seen it before:

You can see the inside of my card and a little of the decoupage layers in this photograph:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - Poetry Corner
Sketch 'n' Stash Challenge 99 - Sketch (House Mouse Decoupage and buttons are both old stash)
Charisma Cardz Challenge 42 - Don't be Square!!
The ABC Challenge - Z is for Zoo
Southern Girls Challenge 56 - Animal Crackers
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 99 - Ribbon and/or Buttons (heart shaped buttons)
Stamp N Doodle - Ribbon/Twine (twine in buttons and tags)
Ladybug Crafts Challenge - I need a P! (pink, poem, punching)

Well I got there in the end - minus the watermark - a job for hubby this evening!   I wish you all a lovely weekend - yes, it's nearly here!

Pretty in Yellow

I have made this card for the Songbird Challenge - Build Me Up Buttercup - yellow must be one of the main colours on your card.  As soon as I saw this challenge I just knew the image that I wanted to use, the only problem was I didn't have it, so I had to buy the CD.

What do you think of the way I have been taking my photographs lately, I never seemed to be able to get them straight, so I have been taking them at a slight angle - you can't see if they are straight or not now!

The Image and the papers are all from Ooh La La Creations All Dressed Up CD, I wanted this CD when I first saw it on Create & Craft but managed to resist.  I eventually bought it directly from Ooh La La and it arrived quicker than it would have from Create & Craft.

The card stock is Bazzill Basics from Craftie-Charlie, the sentiment is from The Crafty Pad and the ribbon was in my stash.  I have inked the edges of the sentiment to match the image.

The inside of my card has been decorated to match the front leaving a blank rectangle with inked edges to write on.

This card is for my niece's daughter - does that make her my grand niece or great niece - I'm not quite sure, anyway I hope she likes it.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

Songbird Challenge 6 - Build Me A Buttercup
Lollipop Crafts Challenge 92 - Happy Birthday
Sketch N Stash Challenge 99 - Sketch (new stash CD, old stash ribbon and sentiment)
The Squirrel and the Fox Challenge 29 - Use a Ribbon
Daring Cardmakers Challenge - Don't Worry, Be Happy
The Emerald Faeries Challenge 34 - Anything Goes
The Perfect Sentiment Challenge 53A - Happy Birthday/Happy Anniversary

Thank you for calling today, they say it is going to get cold at the weekend - it doesn't feel particularly warm here at the moment, so I'd better find my woolly socks out!

Winter Homes

This is my card for the Ooh La La Challenge, the theme this fortnight is Christmas Sentiment.  I chose this fab Pyramid image from Christmas Presence called Winter Homes, there are so many gorgeous images on this CD it was difficult to choose which one to use.

The papers are also from the CD and the card stock is Core'dinations.  I have kept the embellishments quite simple again - just some card candy from my stash.  The sentiment is from the LOTV Simply Sophisticated collection.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front, you can also see the Pyramid layers in this photograph.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Ooh La La Creations Challenge 116 - Christmas Sentiment and DT call
Totally Papercrafts Challenge 139 - Christmas 9 weeks and counting
ABC Christmas Challenge - U for Up To You
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft Challenge 201 - Anything Goes
Let's Craft and Create Challenge 56 - Dimension
Christmas Card Challenge Week 47 - Christmas Card (optional Bows)

That's it from me for today, thank you for calling - I'm off to do some more sorting through my crafty stash - I'm beginning to wonder if decorating my craft room was a good idea!
