Christmas Shopping

Another week has passed and it's time for a new Willow Sketchie Challenge.  This week it's Kelly's turn and she would like you to make an easel card or a tent card and of course there is her sketch to follow.  This is my tent card

We all used the fab Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD again and I chose to use the Winnie Christmas Shopping Decoupage set and also some backing papers from the CD.

This is Kelly's sketch:

As you can see I rotated the sketch this week, it's ok to do that, you can also re-size it or flip it if you like and add any additional embellishments you choose.

I used core'dinations card stock and I have distressed the edges a little.  Then I cut the image out using a circle nestie and also cut a hole in the front of the card with the same nestie, I used my scalloped circle and circle nesties to cut a frame from core'dinations card stock and sanded it to show the embossing.  The sentiment circle is also cut using the scalloped circle nestie, sanded and then stamped with a sentiment from Creative Expressions.  The ribbon and ric rac is from my stash.

This view shows the tent effect a bit better and as you can see I used the same paper on the inside of my card.

Image and Papers: Walter and Winnie does Christmas CD -Winnie Christmas Shopping
Tools:  Spellbinders - Scalloped Circle and Standard Circle

Flopsie Bunny

This is a card I made using my Polka Doodles Paper Boutique Volume 1 CD, this is really out of my comfort zone, usually I only make 6 inch square cards but I felt like a challenge and in the end I quite enjoyed myself.  The only problem is I now need to make a box to put it in and I'm notoriously lazy about making boxes.

I have lined the inside of the card with papers from the CD and added a label to write a sentiment on.

The back of the card is also decorated and I just love the little fluffy tail.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Fab 'n' Funky Challenge 91 - A hard theme! (It was certainly hard for me not making a standard 6 inch card)
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays  - Favourite Colour- Pink (on inside of card and the little heart)

Don't forget to pop over to the Willow Sketchie Challenge Blog  and have a go at this weeks challenge, there's a great prize on offer this week.

Birthday Cupcake

Hi all, I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, mine was quiet but nice, plenty of time for crafting.  I'm trying to get lots of Christmas cards ready for the Christmas Fair I've managed to get a table at.

This is another card that I made for my son to give to a friend for her birthday, I've never known a boy be invited to so many birthday parties.

Both the image and papers are from The Paper Shelter, I used core'dinations card stock and some flowers from my stash.  The border and corner are both Marianne CreaTables dies.

As usual I decorated the inside of the card to match the front

Christmas Fun

Good afternoon, I hope you all have a lovely weekend planned, I'm going to have a quiet one this week to make up for last weeks busy one.

I have made this card to enter into this months Crafter's Companion challenge and the theme this time is Christmas Wishes.  I thought I would try something different from the usual square card that I normally make, big mistake, I just don't seem to be able to get the proportions right for anything else any more.

Anyway this is my card

I used the Humphrey Christmas Decoupage kit, I do love these cute Humphrey images and I seem to be doing more and more decoupage at the moment, the papers are also part of the kit.  I used my favourite Core'dinations Whitewash for the base and also embossed a rectangle using a Darice embossing folder.  I die cut a sentiment label, added some ribbon and some snowflakes from my stash.

This inside of my card has also been decorated.

Image and Papers: Crafter's Companion - Humphrey Christmas Kit
Card Stock:  Core'dinations Whitewash
Tools:  Crafter's Companion - Darice Embossing Folder, Spellbinders - Ribbon Tag Trio and Classic Squares (inside card)
Embellishments:  ribbon and snowflakes from stash
Sentiment: Joanna Sheen - House Mouse

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafter's Companion Challenge 15 - Christmas Wishes
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Creature Comforts
Mark's Finest Papers Challenge Week 24 - Things with Wings (there are lots of little birds flying around the bird table)

The image and the papers are downloads from The Paper Shelter and I layered everything onto Kraft card.  I just love the pretty pinks and blues together.  I added some flowers and a ribbon from my stash and stamped a sentiment tag.

This is the inside of the card decorated to match the front.

Aye, Aye, Pirate Fun

Good afternoon all, I hope you've all had a good week.

This is another card I've made for my eldest son to give to a friend for her birthday, yet another party he's been invited to.  This friend is a member of his Explorers group and last year their summer camp was on a Narrow Boat and they all had to dress as Pirates, hence the subject of the card.

I got out one of my Debbie More CD's and found some stripy backing paper in one of my NitWit Collections.  I used Kraft card as a base and cut a border from the same card using a spellbinders die, this has been topped with a ribbon strip from the CD.  The corrugated card and buttons came from my stash, I rolled some string to make a rope coil and topped it with a charm to finish the card.

This is the inside of my card decorated as usual.

Papers:  NitWit - Aye, Aye Captain
, Tools:  Spellbinders - Ric Rac Diamond border, Labels 4. Scalloped Circles, Classic Squares (inside card)

All I want for Christmas is .......

It's Thursday again and that means time for a new Willow Sketchie Challenge.  This week we have all used the 'All I Want For Christmas' image.  I used the ready coloured image again and just added some Flower Soft to Walter's hat and on the ground.

This week it is Anne-Marie's turn to host the challenge and this is the great sketch that she came up with
and this is the prize this week

I've been quite good again and followed the sketch closely.  I used NitWit Simple Joys papers and backed them onto core'dinations card stock, a simple ribbon and bow finish the card.

As usual I have decorated the inside of my card.

Good evening, I hope you all had a nice weekend.

This is a card that I've made for the Top Tip Tuesday Challenge, they're celebrating their first birthday this week so pop over and join in with the celebrations.

The challenge is to make an Easel Card and I chose to use this cute Crafter's Companion Popcorn decoupage that was a free download some time back.  I printed it out a couple of times so that I could cut out an extra Poinsettia for an embellishment.  The backing paper was part of the download and I die cut a swirl from the same mat gold card that I used as a base.  A sentiment from my stash and a little glitter around the edge finish the card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

CFAS DT Card - Cubbin' Around

Hi everyone, well those two weeks went so quickly, this is my second DT card for the Crafting for all Seasons Challenge.  The challenge this time is Birthday and our sponsor this time is Meljen's Designs, go and check out their shop there are some gorgeous images.

I chose to use this super cute image Cubbin' Around, I think it is suitable for all ages and both male and female cards.

I coloured the image with a combination of ProMarker and Spectrum Noir pens and used distress inks for the background.  The backing paper was a free download, sorry I can't remember where from and I coloured some seam binding for the bow.  The card stock is Core'dinations which I embossed and sanded back to give the grained effect.  A simple stamped sentiment finishes the card.

As usual I've decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Well, that's another weekend over, they just fly by so quickly.  This is a card that I've made to enter this weeks LOTV Challenge 110 - a sketch by Pops - it's a great sketch with loads of lovely layers.

I used one of the Christmas Girls Die Cut Designs and teamed it up with some NitWit papers.  I made some Poinsettia flowers with the My Craft Studio Embellishment Attic CD, I don't usually buy My Craft Studio CD's because I've been a little disappointed with them in the past, however I have to admit I'm quite pleased with this one.  I didn't have any red ribbon so I coloured some seam binding with a Ruby ProMarker.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below

This is the inside of my card.
