Those Born in January

I have found the time to have a play with my Hunkydory Birth Flowers collection at long last.  I have started with January - this is one of the toppers on the sheet, I will be back with another one shortly.

I have added some gold mirror card, gold gems and a sentiment from one of my Ooh La La Creations CDs, everything else is part of the collection.

Birthday Bird

I though I would pop over and join in with the Bugaboo Stamps 8th Birthday Bash,  the theme for the week is Birds, Butterflies & Birthday Wishes and there is a separate challenge each day for a week.

I used the fun BUGBDAYBIRD1 image from Bugaboo Stamps to create my Birthday Card.  I coloured him with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens.

The papers are from the First Edition Pick 'n' Mix paper pad, the sentiment is from Ooh La La Creations and I added some ribbon from my stash.

Me and hubby went to see Darkest Hour at the cinema last night and both thoroughly enjoyed it, I think we will go and see The Post next - good films are a bit like buses, you wait for ages and then lots come along at the same time!

Carrot Harvest

A new challenge began yesterday over at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Harvest Time chosen by Jane. I have created a fun card using a super image from the Ooh La La Creations Nursery Times CD.

This is my final post for Ooh La La Creations, as many of you will already know I am standing down from all of my design teams and also taking a break from my magazine work - I have so much stash that I have not even touched, I just want to craft for fun and use some of it up.

The papers are from NitWit Collections and the sentiment is from another Ooh La La CD, I have just added some card candi to embellish.

Forever and Always

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Happily Ever After chosen by Wynn.  I have created a CAS card using a pretty image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations All Dressed Up CD.

I copied the beautiful image into Word and added a sentiment that I found on the Internet.

I printed my topper and popped it up on foam pads, I then added a square of pattered paper behind it.

Baskets full of Love

I should have posted this card yesterday but as I had another DT card to post I decided to save this one for today.

The latest challenge at Ooh La La Creations started yesterday and the theme for the next fortnight is Lace chosen by Tez.  I have created a fun card using a sweet image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations Everyday Occasions CD.

The image and all of the papers come from the CD, I cut a scalloped border with a Clearly Besotted die and added some buttons tied with twine.  The sentiment is from another Ooh La La Creations CD.

Poinsettias & Holly

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Flowers chosen by Michelle. I have created a Christmas card using a super image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations Christmas Presence CD.

This is one of my favourite Christmas CDs, there are thirty beautiful collections on it.  The Poinsettia image and papers are both from the CD, I layered everything on red card stock and then gold card stock.

The sentiment and pearls are from my stash.  I also decorated the inside of my card to match with the same papers.

Christmas Skates

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Anything Goes chosen by Meg.    I have created a Christmas card using a super image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations The Shawn Jenkins Collection CD .

Everything is from the CD with the exception of some red card stock.  I created the card candi by die cutting small circles from the card stock and adding 3D Crystal Lacquer.

I used the same papers to decorate the inside of my card.

Winter Landscape

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Landscapes chosen by Lynn.    I have created a card using a beautiful scene from the Ooh La La Creations Carnival of Colour CD.

The beautiful scene and the papers are from the CD, I have overprinted the dark blue papers with some Pink Petticoat papers - the sentiment is from LOTV.

 I have inked the edges of everything and used Kraft card stock.

Birthday Bouquet

I made this card for my Mum to give to a very good friend, Mum always likes to give cards with flowers on them.

I used a decoupage topper from Craft Creations and some pretty papers from the Polkadoodles Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Spring Collection.

The sentiment is from the Ooh La La Creations The Shawn Jenkins Collection CD and I have recyled the little rose embellishments from an old Birthday card.

I decorated the inside to match and added a verse from a Crafter's Companion CD.

Anniversary Keepsakes

Riverboat Raiders

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Summertime chosen by Jennifer.  I have two cards to share today, they both use the same collection from the Ooh La La Creations Boys to Men CD, I will be back next Monday with two more cards created using this collection - I am trying to show how flexible they are.

The fun image and papers are from the Riverboat Raiders collection on the CD.

This first card has lots of layers and dimension - my favourite type of card to create.

Mother and Child

I have used this gorgeous image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations Yesterday's Memories CD to create my card.

I have inked the edges of the papers and added a sentiment from another of my Ooh La La CDs.

The border was punched with one of my very old Fiskars edge punches and I added a seam binding bow and some pearls from my stash.

Anyone for an Ice Cream?

You might remember seeing a card quite similar to this on my blog last Monday.  I created it for the Ooh La La Creations Challenge and as there are lots of toppers in each collection I thought I would use another one to create a second card as a mid challenge reminder.

Birthday Roses

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Birthday chosen by ME.

I have used a beautiful image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations Yesterday's Memories CD to create my card.

The decoupage image comes from the Roses Collection, I fussy cut the beautiful flowers and layered them up using foam pads.

I computer generated the sentiment and added an insert from the CD with a verse that I found on the internet.
