Oh Christmas Tree

It's the first of the month and that means a new challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra, our theme is always 'anything goes' - you can use any materials, any techniques etc., as long as the end result is a Christmas card.

I have used the fabulous image called Make it snappy - Oh Christmas tree kindly provided by our regular sponsor - Bugaboo. I coloured my image with ProMarkers and added glitter and 3D Crystal Lacquer, my papers are from the Dovecraft Back to Basics Modern Christmas collection.

I framed my image with a Spellbinders Grand Labels Eleven die cut with the bottom cut off.  I also die cut a border with a Clearly Besotted Scalloped Edge Die and added a seam binding bow along with some card candy.

Birthday Doughnut

Spring Blooms

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Spring/Easter.

I have used a gorgeous image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations Carnival of Colour CD to make my card.

Everything used to make my card comes from the CD with the exception of the ribbon and pearls which are from my stash.

I used an Off Centre Pyramid Decoupage sheet for my main image and used one of the inserts from the CD layered onto one of the backing papers to decorate the inside of my card.

Pink Chloe

This is the second of two DT posts today, if you are looking for my Di's Digi Designs DT card you can find it HERE.

It's time for a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and the theme is Shaped cards - Anything but a Square chosen by Sue.

I decided to make a stepper card and matching gift bag using the sweet Chloe in Knitted Hat card kit and Chloe in Hat printable large gift bag

Everything you need comes in the kits and they are so easy to make up - just print them out and follow the instructions.

Chloe has been decoupaged and I cut out some butterflies to embellish the card.

The gift bag is a good size, lots of room for a present.

Times Gone By - Another Sneak Peek

Today I am here to share a another card made using the fabulous new Crafter's Companion collection called Times Gone By - it is launching as Pick of the Week on Create and Craft today.  I didn't join the team in time to be included in this launch but I couldn't resist having a play with this wonderful CD.

There are so many gorgeous images in this collection and there are lots that are suitable for the men in our lives - I think this card will go to my Brother-in-Law.  There are two CD's and four sets of stamps - everything on my card, with the exception of the card candy comes from CD1.

I have used elements from the Topper Companions and Co-ordinating Papers, I also used a die from the Die'sire Decorative Corner 1 set and Core'dinations card stock.

Times Gone By - Sneak Peek

I have some wonderful news to share today - those of you on Facebook will probably already know this but a little while ago I received a wonderful e-mail from Emma Welsh from Crafter's Companion to say that I had been chosen to join their Design Team, such fantastic news.

Today I am here to share a card made using the fabulous new collection, called Times Gone By, that is launching as Pick of the Week on Create and Craft this Friday.

There are two CD's and four sets of stamps - everything on my card, with the exception of the three little pearls, comes from CD1.

I have used elements from the Design Sets, The Card Companions, The Topper Companions and an Insert using the Verse Writer.  I also used a die from the Die'sire Waltz Frame set and Core'dinations card stock.

Together Forever

Today I am sharing the card that I have made for this weeks Less is More Challenge, it's theme week and the theme is - CASE a DT card

I decided to CASE Sarah's gorgeous card and go with the Wedding theme.

I have used a similar layout and colour scheme for my card but decided on a very simple design.

The large hearts were cut using a Sizzix die and the top one was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The small hearts have been cut using a Lawn Fawn die and I have added 3D Crystal Lacquer to them.  The sentiment is a Docrafts Papermania stamp, stamped with Hero Arts Silver Shadow Ink.

CAS Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland and the theme this week is:

Warm Winter Wishes

Now that we are in March you have to make a Christmas card to enter our challenge,

I have used an adorable Topper from LOTV,  I spent ages hunting around for papers to use and couldn't decide on any so I have gone with a really CAS design.

I used my Tattered Lace Rectangle dies to cut the frame from red card stock and added some glitter to his hat.  My sentiment is from Pink Petticoat with a small heart gem added to dot the 'i'.
