Mini Monday

I have been struggling to decide what to create lately, having too much stash doesn't help but I am trying to use it up - might take a while though!  I thought perhaps if I had a theme it might help so I've decided to start with 'Mini Monday', I will be sharing something small each week - a tag, ATC, small card etc., it's a good way to use up some scraps as well.

This week I'm sharing a couple of small tags, I used my Graphic 45 ATC tag die to cut them both and decorated them with papers from the Graphic 45 Bird Watcher collection.

For this one I used several small scraps of paper along with a small topper from the 8 x 8 collection, I fussy cut some flowers from one of the papers and inked the edges of everything, to finish I added some twine and a small charm.

For the second one I used my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies to cut several fishtail flags, I layered them up and added a sentiment that I die cut from one of the papers along with a fussy cut bird and some fussy cut flowers. To finish this one I added some grosgrain ribbon secured with a twine bow.

I quite enjoyed making these, it's surprising just how much you can fit on a small tag.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

My Sweet

I decided to have a play with some of my Prima papers for a change, I used the My Sweet collection to create this card.

I used four of the lovely papers and a topper, the banners were cut with my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies, I cut them once and then reversed the die to cut the other end as well.  I inked the edges of everything and added a flower that I also cut from the papers with a Fleurs Flower Forming Die.

Those Summer Days

It would appear that our summer has returned, for a while at least, so I thought I would create a summer themed card.  I used the Echo Park Summertime collection, I have the digital version.

I love the yellows and blues in this collection, I used a topper and lots of bits and pieces fussy cut from the patterned papers.  Everything has been popped up with foam pads to create some dimension.  I was inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest, I'm struggling to decide what I want to make at the moment, so inspiration was needed!

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Sun Hats and Sunflowers

I have at long last completed my Flip Book, I followed a tutorial by Gloria Stengel to create the flip book base, I just added a few extra pockets to mine.  I used a combination of Graphic 45's French Country Collection and Place in Time Collection to decorate it.

This is the front cover, it mainly uses papers from the Place in Time collection, the sunflowers are from the French Country collection - the book is secured with a ribbon.

Below the album is opened to show the inside front cover with a folder in the pocket and the back page closed.

Next you can see the back page opened to reveal a matching pocket with another folder inside - you can find photographs of both folders and the tags that are also in the album HERE.  The centre page has a belly band, I have placed a journal card behind it.

You open the centre page to the left and there is a pocket with two tags in it along with another page with a belly band and a journal card.

You open this page to the right to reveal another page with a pocket and journal card.  In the centre are two half pages.

The two half pages open to reveal another pocket with a journal card and a larger tag inside.

These projects are quite time consuming but fun to create and they do use quite a bit of paper, so at least I am using up some of my stash!

French Country

I am currently working on a little Flip Book, there are quite a few pages so I thought I would share some of the tags and inserts that I have created to put in it - it makes the post very photo heavy if I share everything together!

I used a combination of the Graphic 45 French Country collection and the Place in Time collection to create everything.  Below you can see a couple of small folders, I used my Graphic 45 Folder die to create the top one.

Next are three tags, I used a Studio Light die to create the centre one, it has a pocket with a smaller tag inside, the two outside ones were created with a Hunkydory punch.

Bird Watcher

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, my eldest son came to visit for a few days so I was spending time with him.

This is the completed album that I created after taking part in the most recent Facebook Live class held by Clare from My Creative Spirit, it was number 23 and we made a window box and album.

Below you can see the album inside the window box, I used a combination of papers from the Graphic 45 Bird Watcher collection - you can see more details and photographs of the window box HERE.

Next you can see the inside of the front cover and the front of the first page, the front cover has an acetate flap, there is another flap on the first page, both flaps are secured with a magnet.

The next photograph shows the flap on the inside cover open to reveal a pocket, I  have placed a journal card in the pocket but you could also put a photograph in it.

Now you can see the flap on the first page open, there is a small tuck point that I have placed another journal card in.

Next is the back of the first page with a place to display a journal card or photograph and the front of the second page with a flap that has a pocket on it, again I have placed journal cards in the pocket but you could place photographs here as well.

Below you can see the open flap with a journal card in the small tuck pocket.

On the back of the second page I used my Stitched Slots Pocket Die to create the pockets that have journal cards in them, on the front of the third page there is a place to display a journal card or photograph.

The third page with the flap open.

The back of the third page with a photo mat and the front of the final page, this one has a small pocket in which I have placed a small journal card and a small tag.

The flap opened to show a journal card in the small tuck pocket.

The back of the last page with a side pocket that I have placed a tag in and the inside of the back cover which is a repeat of the inside front cover with an acetate flap.

The flap opened to show a pocket with a journal card in it.

Finally, these are the two tags that I have placed in the pockets.

Animal Kingdom

I have a couple of Hunkydory cards to share today, I decided to use some more of the Animal Kingdom collection.

For this first card I used an image from The Little Book of Animal Kingdom, I also used one of the printed cardstock sheets from the Ultimate Collection and a sheet of patterned paper from an old Pollyanna Pickering collection.  The sentiment is also from the Ultimate Collection and I added some buttons and raffia from my stash.

For my second card I used a fabulous Giraffe topper and printed cardstock from the Ultimate collection,  The sentiment is from the Ultimate Collection, I also added some twine and small gems from my stash.

I decorated the inside of the card with some of the leftover printed cardstock.

Miss You Lots

I am trying to use up some of my older stash at the moment and decided to use a topper from an old Studio Light Collection.

I used a topper and some elements from a Janneke Brinkman Die Cut Block, I didn't make the card as they suggest, instead I decided to create a slimline card.  The papers are from the 6 x 6 " paper pad that goes with the collection, I also added some corrugated cardstock and a sentiment from Lisa Horton Crafts.

For the Birds

I have been AWOL again, I have been having yet another sort out in my Craft Room, I really must stop buying new stash!

I did manage to make the time to create this tag, I have used a Graphic 45 Large Kraft Tag and the Graphic 45 Bird Watcher collection.

I used two of the fabulous papers, I distressed the edge of one piece with an EK Success punch, I also used two of the Cut-Apart toppers and fussy cut lots of flowers and a couple of birds - everything has been layered up using foam pads for dimension.

A Little Bird Told Me

Clare from My Creative Spirit held another Facebook Live Class last weekend, it was number 23 and we made a window box and album.  This is my completed box and the front of the album.

I used the fabulous Graphic 45 Bird Watcher collection to decorate the album and the box, above you can see the box with the album inside, I fussy cut some flowers and a bird to decorate the outside of the box.

Below you can see the box opened out, I have decorated the inside of the box with papers from the patterns and solids collection.

Below is the box without the album in it, I covered the base with black cardstock and decorated the outside with papers from the 8 x 8 " paper pad.

This is the inside of the box, it has a folded lid with a clasp on the side.

This is the little clasp on the side when the box is closed, it was quite fiddley to get everything lined up but well worth the effort.

I haven't quite finished the album yet, I will share it when it is completed.

Friends Fur-ever

This is the completed album that I created at last weekends Craft Retreat run by Clare from My Creative Spirit, I used the Graphic 45 Well Groomed collection - it has taken me a while to finish it but I got there in the end.

Above is the front of the Album, I fussy cut the main image.  Below is the inside front cover, it has a pocket with an acetate front photo holder and a belly band with a pull out photo book.  You can also see the front of the first page, it has a pocket with three little tags in it.

There are six pages in total, three page designs, in three different sizes, they are different on each side and then repeated in reverse order - each page has a pocket with a photo mat inside.  This is the back of the first page with a little fold out photo holder.  The front of the second page has a large pocket with another photo wallet.

Next is the fold out photo holder opened out and the large pocket with the photo wallet removed.

Now you can see the back of the second page, it has a large pocket with two journaling cards stored in it.  The front of the third page has an acetate fronted photo holder on it, I have placed a journal card inside.

This is the centre spread, first you can see the reverse of the third page and then the pages begin to repeat and you can see the front of the forth page.  They both have a belly band that you can tuck photographs behind, I have popped a journal card in mine.

This is one of the acetate fronted photo holders and the three little tags.

Two of the photo wallets.

Finally, the photo wallets opened out, I think I might use this album to store some of the many photographs that we have of our two Black Labradors.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.
