I also created the rolled roses from the pale blue card stock and die cut some flourishes.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Beautiful Blooms

I have used my Craft Consortium Bloom Beautiful paper pad to create another card.

I have used one of the beautiful floral papers and cut the bird topper from another of the papers using my Sue Wilson stitched squares die.

I created the flowers with a Spellbinders Becca Feeken die called Cinch and Go Flowers, I used Core'dinations card stock - I quite like the effect when you spritz them with water and scrunch them up.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated.

Hedge Word

Good morning everyone, I had a great day yesterday.  It was my youngest son's birthday - he was fifteen, my eldest son passed the theory part of his driving test and we have, at long last, found a nursing home for my father.  Dad moves in tomorrow and he will be nice and close to both me and my Mum so hopefully, as soon as he is settled, life will get back to some sort of normality - it will never be quite the same again, but we should at least be able to get back into some sort of routine.

Anyway, as I said, it was my son's birthday and this is the card I made for his brother to give him.

I saw this Penny Black stamp on a blog sometime ago and I just had to get it, I think it's ideal for male cards.  I have coloured the cute little hedgehogs with ProMarkers and used some Echo Park papers that I have had for ages.  The card stock is Core'dinations and I used my Spellbinders Ric Rac die to cut the bottom edge.  The string and button are from my stash.

I have decorated the inside of the card using the same papers and layout as the front.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Come and Get It Challenge - Masculine
Simon Says Stamp &  Show Challenge - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenge 48 - Boy/Man
Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge 107 - Cute as a Button
Hobbycutz Challenge 9 - Anything with 'H' (Hedgehogs)
The Paper Nest Dolls challenge 7  - Animal Love
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anythings Goes, Option: include animals/creatures

Thank you so much for visiting me today.  Hopefully, as soon as we get Dad settled into the nursing home, I will have more time to craft and will be able to come and visit everyone a little more often.

Snow Scene

This is one of the cards I made for the Create and Craft Launch of the Ooh La La Creations Yesterday's Memories CD a while ago, I just remembered that I had never blogged it.

The Pyramid Decoupage image and the papers are from the Vintage Artwork Sets and I think this card  is suitable for both male and female recipients.

The card stock is Core'dinations and the card candy has been made by punching some small circles and adding a coat of 3D Crystal Lacquer, the only other addition is some ribbon from my stash - I don't think you need many embellishments with the quality of these images.

I have decorated the inside of my card with the same papers and  following the same layout as the front.

This is the sketch that I have followed from Seize the Birthday:

I cut the image out and layered it onto a Spellbinders Standard circle die cut which in turn has been layered onto a dark blue Pinking Circle die cut.  The sentiment is computer generated and I have die cut some dark blue stars with my X-Cut star die and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to them.

Blue Christmas

Good Morning everyone, it's time for a new Challenge over at The Crafty Pad and the lovely Dawn has chosen the theme - Christmas is Coming - so we would love to see all of your Christmas related projects.

I seem to be having a bit of a colour theme with my Crafty Pad DT cards at the moment the last one was Pink Butterflies and this time it's Blue Christmas, I have used the delightful Crafty Pad image Christmas Tree Trio and this is my card:

I printed the image out three times onto some pale blue papers from the Bearly Mine Designs Christmas Wishes collection and added the brown with my Cocoa ProMarker, as is usual with me I have cut the images out to create some decoupage layers.  The base paper is also from the Bearly Mine Designs Christmas Wishes collection and my card stock is Core'dinations, the only embellishment is some Ice Stickles added to the snowflakes on the image.

I have decorated the inside of my card using the same papers and a smaller image:

Our wonderful Sponsor for this challenge is:

Dearest One

This is my card for this weeks CD Sunday Challenge - Poetry Corner, I decided to use this cute little House Mouse image from Joanna Sheen's Just the Two of Us Decoupage set.  The CD part of my card is the papers - they are from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse Inserts CD, the base has large hearts on it - I've been quite successful at covering them up completely and the smaller hearts are from one of the inserts on the CD.

You would not believe the problems I've had trying to post this card, first when I downloaded the photographs I had taken, because of the angle I had taken the shots at, the little mouse looked like he had four ears and then when I tried to insert my watermark it kept coming up really huge, almost obliterating the entire image, even though the settings were all the same as usual.  So back to the drawing board and start again.

I followed the sketch from Sketch 'n' Stash, I really like this sketch and this is the second card I have made using it.  My card stock is Core'dinations and the sentiment tags are LOTV, I used my Fiskars edge punch on the central border and corner - the buttons and twine are from my stash.

This is a close up of the little poem for those of you who have not seen it before:

You can see the inside of my card and a little of the decoupage layers in this photograph:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - Poetry Corner
Sketch 'n' Stash Challenge 99 - Sketch (House Mouse Decoupage and buttons are both old stash)
Charisma Cardz Challenge 42 - Don't be Square!!
The ABC Challenge - Z is for Zoo
Southern Girls Challenge 56 - Animal Crackers
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 99 - Ribbon and/or Buttons (heart shaped buttons)
Stamp N Doodle - Ribbon/Twine (twine in buttons and tags)
Ladybug Crafts Challenge - I need a P! (pink, poem, punching)

Well I got there in the end - minus the watermark - a job for hubby this evening!   I wish you all a lovely weekend - yes, it's nearly here!

Winter Homes

This is my card for the Ooh La La Challenge, the theme this fortnight is Christmas Sentiment.  I chose this fab Pyramid image from Christmas Presence called Winter Homes, there are so many gorgeous images on this CD it was difficult to choose which one to use.

The papers are also from the CD and the card stock is Core'dinations.  I have kept the embellishments quite simple again - just some card candy from my stash.  The sentiment is from the LOTV Simply Sophisticated collection.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front, you can also see the Pyramid layers in this photograph.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Ooh La La Creations Challenge 116 - Christmas Sentiment and DT call
Totally Papercrafts Challenge 139 - Christmas 9 weeks and counting
ABC Christmas Challenge - U for Up To You
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes
