The Milano Memory Box

This is what I have been working on over the weekend, I took part in an Online Craft Retreat with Clare from My Creative Spirit, we have been making a Memory Box, Album and Photo Box.

This is the Memory Box, it is quite large, it's 12" tall, 11" wide and just over 6" deep and has a recessed window in the front.  I used the Graphic 45 Come One, Come All collection to decorate mine.

It has a lid that opens and a drop down front, both are secured with ribbon.  On the inside there is a divider that creates a section to store the Album and another to store the Photo Box.

There is also a small drawer in the bottom and it stands on wooden feet.

Today I am sharing the next set of Christmas cards and Gift Bags that I am creating for my Teacher son to give his pupils for Christmas.

I am taking part in an Online Craft Retreat with Clare from My Creative Spirit this weekend, the first session was last night when we put together a Memory Box and we have three sessions today and three more tomorrow.

Four more

I am sharing four more of the cards that I have made for my Teacher son to give his pupils this Christmas, I am also making gift bags for him to fill.

I have used the Craft Consortium - It's Snome Time collection again, I have made ten cards and ten gift bags using this collection so far. As before, I used two of the papers, a topper with one layer of decoupage and a sentiment on each card.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

It's Snome Time

It's the time of year when I start to make gift bags for my Teacher son to fill and give his class for Christmas, I need to make 30 and this year I have decided to make Christmas cards to go with them - I really need to use up some of my Christmas collections.

I am sharing the first two today.

I have used the Craft Consortium - It's Snome Time collection, there is a 12 x 12 paper pad and eight toppers, two of four designs.  I've kept things simple, I used two of the papers, a topper with one layer of decoupage and a sentiment on each card and another sheet of the paper to create the gift bag.

Two down, twenty eight to go!

Poinsettia Perfection

I'm back making Christmas cards again, this time I am making cards for my neighbours so I don't have to keep them flat.

I have used the Nature's Garden Poinsettia Perfection collection from Crafter's Companion, I used three of the papers, a sentiment and the Poinsettia die, I cut the banners with my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies, the gold star is an unbranded die and the foliage was cut with some Tim Holtz dies.

Facebook Live Class 27 - The Album

Finally, I have managed to complete the Album that I started in the class with Claire, My Creative Spirit  last weekend.

This is the album cover, we made this during the class.

I decided to decorate mine with papers from Graphic 45, the floral paper is from the Artisan Style collection and the striped papers are from the Once Upon a Springtime collection, I decided to make a belly band to keep the Album closed.

This is the Album opened, there are pockets on the inside of both covers and there are six pages that are all the same with a pocket on the outside edge.  I have put Journal/Ephemera cards in the pockets but you could add photographs.

Below you can see the first page opened out, I added a belly band on this and the next page below.

On the next two pages I have added long pockets along the bottom.

These are the final two pages, I added a belly band to these two as well.

Above you can see the centre of the Album, there are four flaps, below you can see the first two opened out, below that you can see all four flaps open.

The photographs are not brilliant, it was a miserable day and I had a little helper when I was taking them, we have two gorgeous black Labradors - Ramsey, the older one, is very laid back and doesn't take much notice of anything.  Jasper, the younger one, is into everything, you only have to move and he is there to see what is going on!

This is them both together, Ramsey is on the left, the one on the right is Jasper.

Facebook Live Class 27 - The Box

I took part in another great class with Claire, My Creative Spirit at the weekend, you might have seen my previous post HERE, where I shared the chipboard pieces that I had cut in preparation for the class - this is the completed box, we put it together in the first class and then I decorated it with my chosen papers.

This is the box all put together, we added magnets to keep it closed, it looks a bit of a mess doesn't it!  Clare goes through how to put everything together and makes one during the Facebook Live.

This is it opened, we added a little ribbon pull to open it up with and two ribbons to secure the lid when open.

This is my box decorated, I used papers from Graphic 45, the striped papers are from the Once Upon a Springtime collection and the floral papers are from the Artisan Style collection, I have had this collection in my stash for ages and decided it is really time that I actually used it.

This is the box opened up, I lined it with black cardstock, it gets a bit busy if you use patterned papers on the inside as well.  It certainly looks a bit different now doesn't it, I'm working on the album at the moment, they always take a bit longer to decorate, I'll share it as soon as I have finished.

Reindeer Family

I've managed to make another Christmas card that is suitable to pop in the post, it's so difficult to keep them flat enough!

I have used another of my Crafter's Companion Sweet 16th Birthday purchases, the Reindeer Family Create-a-Card die along with papers from the First Edition Arctic Wonder Paper collection.  I used some Aqua card stock and a very old Dovecraft sentiment stamp that has been in my stash for ages, I popped it up with 2mm foam pads.

Facebook Live Class 27 - Work in Progress

I will be joining Facebook Live Class 27 run by Clare from my Creative Spirit this weekend, I love these classes, Clare is a fantastic teacher and always comes up with fun new projects for us to create.

This is my preparation for the class, we will be making a Flip Flap Album in a Box, the box and album covers are made from 2mm Chipboard and these are all of the pieces that I have cut ready to craft along.

It doesn't seem possible that this pile of chipboard will end up looking like this super box and album - well hopefully it will.

Clare used the new Graphic 45 Come One, Come All collection to cover hers but I think I might use my Graphic 45 Artisan Style collection to cover mine, I'm saving the Come One, Come All collection for another project.

I will be back later in the week to share my progress.

Happy Birthday Paul

This is the card that I created for my husband, it was his Birthday earlier in the week.

I used some more of the images from the New World computer game that he has been playing recently. I found them on the internet along with the map from the game in the background. The frame is a Creative Expressions Die, it is the Decorative Rectangle Aperture Trio from the Slimline Collection. I cut it from pale blue card stock that matched the water on the map, unfortunately I then proceeded to cover up most of the water!

I computer generated the sentiment, I printed it on a portion of the map and also used the map to decorate the inside of the card.

The Most Wonderful Time

I have been making some more Christmas cards, I have used the Dovecraft Winter Wonderland collection to create this one.

I have used papers from the 8 x 8 Paper Pad and a decoupage topper from the Decoupage Pad, I have only used three layers and 2mm foam pads as this card will probably be posted.  I have used my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies again and matted the papers with some silver glitter card stock.

New World

This is the card that I made for my youngest son to give his Dad for his Birthday. I find it so difficult to make for my husband, he has lots of hobbies but not the ones that are usually covered by craft stamps or collections.

I took to Google and searched for images relating to his latest computer game - New World and created a card based around that.

I used my Moonstone Multi-Aperture Frame Die, it was one of the dies that I received when I was on the Hunkydory Design Team many moons ago, I cut it from red card stock and popped three of the images that I found behind it. I used a Die'sire Embossing folder to emboss the other red layer and alternated the red with black card stock layers.

I computer generated the sentiment and cut it out with my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies, I used foam pads between some of the layers to add some dimension. I decorated the inside with a map from the game.

Birthday Blooms

This is another Birthday card created with the Enchanted Dreams Sara Signature collection.

The gingham paper is from Bearly Mine Designs, sadly no longer trading, I used dies from the collection to create the flowers and the sentiment is a stamp also from the collection.  I created the fishtail flags with my Die-namics dies and used another of the papers to decorate the inside.

Slimline Birthday

I have another card to share using my Enchanted Dreams Sara Signature collection, this is for another of the family birthdays I have to make for this month.

I have used one of the 12 x 12 papers along with some Gold Pearl card stock from Creative Expressions.  The die is another Sweet 16th Birthday purchase, at least I'm making use of my purchases. I have kept this card quite simple, it needs to be kept flat for posting, all I have added is some hand made card candi.  I used some more of the card stock and paper to decorate the inside.

Believe in the Magic

I have been playing with my Masquerade Ball collection from Crafter's Companion again, this time I have created a double gatefold card with a belly band.

I have used papers from the 12 x 12 paper pad along with some of the dies from the collection.  I cut the mask and some of the feathers from the papers and some of the feathers from the Luxury Mixed card.

I used Hunkydory Moonstone Scalloped & Straight Edged Nesting dies for the belly band with a stamp from the Sara Signature Enchanted Dreams collection and Hunkydory Diamond Sparkles.

A Magical Birthday

I have created this card for my Niece, November is a busy month for Birthdays in our family.  I have used another of my Crafter's Companion Sweet 16th Birthday buys, the Sara Signature Enchanted Dreams collection.

I have used paper from the 12 x 12 paper pad, I fussy cut the unicorn and flowers and die cut the gold ring from some Creative Expressions Pearl Card.  The sentiment is one of the stamps from the Enchanted Dreams collection and I used one of the papers from the 6 x 6 paper pad on the inside of the card.

Elegant Mask

This is another make using the Masquerade Ball collection from Crafter's Companion, one of my purchases during the Sweet 16th Birthday Celebrations.

I copied the card fold from a Sam Calcott - Mixed Up Craft Video, you can find her YouTube Channel HERE.  I used several papers from the 12 x 12 paper pad, I also cut the mask and feathers from the papers.  The sentiment stamps are from the Sara Signature Enchanted Dreams collection
