Starry Skies

This is the final 50th Birthday card that I created, I used the free Galaxy papers from this months Making Cards Magazine.

I decided to create another shaker card, the number dies are from Tonic and the happy birthday is a Poppy Stamps die, I also snipped the 'th' from the Poppy Stamps die so that it matched perfectly.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Happy Valentine's Day

I decided to use one of the Valentine Bag Toppers that I created earlier, you can see them HERE, to create a card.

I used one of the papers from the Simple Stories Simple Vintage My Valentine collection and also added a sentiment from the collection.  I inked the edges of everything and added some die cut hearts.

Eleanor

I have another 50th Birthday card to share today, this time I used papers and elements from the NitWit Eleanor collection.

I printed the beautiful flowers several times so that I could fussy cut them and layer them up with foam pads, the sentiment is from The DigiStamp Boutique.  I found a nice verse and added it to the same paper that I used on the front to decorate the inside.

Sir Vagabond

I have been watching You Tube tutorials again, this time Vicky Papaioannou, she is one very talented lady.

She used the Stamperia Sir Vagabond collection to create a little home decor piece and this is my take on it - there are not as many details as hers as I didn't have all of the products but I'm quite pleased with it.

I only used one sheet of paper and part of one topper, the background is the top of the sheet with some Distress Oxide ink added, the buildings are fussy cut from the bottom of the sheet, I fussy cut several little groups of buildings and then rearranged them on my plaque.  I layered them up to create different levels and then added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to some of the roofs and a few other details like the clocks.  The Airship is another fussy cut from one of the toppers in the collection, I also popped it up for dimension and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Happy 50th

My neighbour asked me to make a birthday card for her Daughter who turns fifty next month, this is one of the cards that I created but I didn't give it to her because I don't like it very much - I think it's the sentiment.

I created a Shaker card, the paper is from the Crafter's Companion Nature's Garden Nativity collection, I don't think you would know that they are Christmas papers though.  The glasses are also from Crafter's Companion and another Christmas collection - Gemini Celebrate the Season dies.

Hugs & Kisses

This is another Valentine card, I have used my Simple Stories Simple Vintage My Valentine collection again.

I recently purchased the Lisa Horton Nested Scalloped Slim dies and decided to use them to create my card.  I used two of the papers along with the hearts that were cut from the element sheet, the sentiment is from the sticker sheet, I have backed it with black cardstock so that I could attach it using foam pads.

Valentine Bag Toppers

I have been creating some more Valentine makes using my Simple Stories Simple Vintage My Valentine collection, this time I have created a couple of Valentine Bag Toppers.

I took a couple of doilies and folded them in half, I then decorated them with lots of fussy cuts from the paper collection along with some of the stickers, I always adhere the stickers to card stock and cut them out, this means I can layer them up with foam pads to create dimension.

I used my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies to cut the banners from some of the papers, I think I might even make these into some cards, I'm not sure yet.

Alice

I have created a notebook folio with my Stamperia Alice collection this time, I still have a few papers left along with lots of journal cards but not a lot else!

Above is the front cover and below you can see the inside of the front cover and back of the the right hand flap, I have inked the edges of everything to go with the vintage feel of the papers.

This is the folio opened out, there is a small pocket on the left that has a card in it, you could add a gift card or just a message to the recipient, in the centre there is a larger pocket that contains a notebook, bookmark and tag, on the right side there is another pocket that houses some journal cards and another tag.

This is a close up of the items that are in the pockets.

You will be pleased to know that I will be having a break from my Alice collection and will have something Valentine related to share tomorrow.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

I have something a little bit different to share today, I'm still using my Stamperia Alice collection but for a change I have decorated a shadow box.

I have two copies of the Stamperia Alice collection, the original and the new Gold edition so I cut down one sheet of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party scene and adhered it to the base of the shadow box, I then fussy cut the main characters from the other collection and adhered them using foam pads for dimension.  I also fussy cut lots of cups, a teapot, the cat, some playing cards and a couple of sentiments to decorate my shadow box.

I've had nothing ...

I'm late with my post today, my eldest son is home for the weekend and I like to spend as much time as possible with him, he lives alone and we are his support bubble.  He is a teacher and is working at school one week and then teaching from home for a week, he comes to us on alternate weekends after he has been at home all week.

This is another Stamperia Alice card, don't worry, I've nearly used up my paper pads!

I have used lots of paper and border scraps to create the background and I fussy cut the sentiment and tea pot from a couple of the toppers.  I inked the edges of everything and used foam pads to add some dimension.

Take some more Tea

I hope you're not getting bored with my Stamperia Alice makes, I'm determined to use up some of my many paper collections.

I only used one of the papers on the front of this card along with a scrap from another sheet, I cut down one of the frames and fussy cut the Mad Hatter and Dormouse having tea so that I could pop them inside.  I also fussy cut a sentiment, flower,  playing cards and little heart.

For a change, I decided to add a pop up on the inside of my card, I used two papers, two borders, lots of playing cards, a couple of tea cups and another fussy cut image of the tea party.  I'm really having fun playing with this collection, there are so many fabulous images and bits and pieces to fussy cut.

I shall be late!

I am sharing another card that I created with my Stamperia Alice collection, this card reminds me of a day out we had when our children were young, we went to an Alice in Wonderland themed park and there was a person dressed as the white rabbit, he looked just like this one - my eldest son, he was only about three years old, was terrified!

I used one of the blank frames and fussy cut the white rabbit and lots of other bits and pieces including the tag - there are so many images to fussy cut, I have been spoilt for choice.  I used two of the papers on the front and another on the inside, I also inked the edges of everything.  I think I might give this card to my eldest son, he is twenty five now and is also always late for everything!

White Rabbit

I have created another card with my Stamperia Alice collection, it was inspired by Kathy by Design's card kit that is available from the Button Farm Club.  It is an easel card with a little step at the front, I'm not sure what it is called - an easel step card perhaps.

I have used several of the papers along with a topper, there are also lots of fussy cut bits and bobs.  I have inked the edges of everything and layered the elements up with foam pads for dimension.

Time for Tea

I have been watching some more YouTube videos, I often have YouTube running in the background while I am crafting - there are lots of talented Crafters sharing fabulous projects and I saw a video featuring a Card Kit created with the Stamperia Alice collection, it is by Kathy by Design sold through the Button Farm.  Unfortunately Button Farm is in the US and the shipping costs are horrendous so I thought I would make some cards of my own inspired by Kathy.

I used the Gold Alice collection, the same as Kathy, there are 22 sheets and they are printed on one side only so you don't have to waste any of the gorgeous papers or toppers.  I used one of the beautiful frames along with two papers to create this card, I fussy cut the tea pot, cup and flower from some of the papers along with the Drink me sentiment.

I decorated the inside of my card with more of the papers and another frame that I cut down a little, the little tea cup is another fussy cut.

Relax Time

This is another card created with my Mintay Day by Day collection.

As before I have used two of the papers and a frame but this time I have used several fussy cut items, there is a whole sheet of bits and pieces to fussy cut.  I die cut the flowers from another of the papers and the leaves were fussy cut from one of the papers, I also added some Hunkydory pearls and a sentiment from the cardboard sticker sheet.

Choose to be Grateful

This is the final card that I have created with my Graphic 45 Fashion Forward collection, for now that is - I still have a complete sheet of 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 papers along with lots of bits and pieces.

I have used two papers from the Patterns & Solids pad along with one of the beautiful toppers, a sentiment and a scrap of patterned paper to cut the fishtail banner.  I also added three Hunkydory gems to embellish.

Daily Routine

I have been having another play with my Mintay Day by Day Collection, I love the combination of soft pink and black/grey in this collection.

I have used two of the papers along with a frame and fussy cut topper, I also fussy cut some flowers and the light bulbs from another of the papers.  The sentiment and fishtail banner are from the cardboard sticker sheet and the pearls are from Hunkydory.

I have created another card using papers from the Graphic 45 Fashion Forward collection, there are two sheets of each paper in the collection including two sheets of toppers.

I also used papers from the 12 x 12 Patterns and Solids paper pad along with some black card stock.  The sentiment is from the topper sheet and I cut the flowers from one of the Patterns and Solids sheets

Love to Read

I have seen lots of slimline cards on blogs recently, I also watched a video by Alicia from Paper Craft Secrets so I thought I would have a go at creating one - I used my Mintay Day by Day collection.

There are always two sheets of toppers in Mintay collections, on the reverse there are lots of different frames, I cut out one of the frames and fussy cut the book image from the topper sheet.  The flowers were fussy cut from one of the papers and the sentiment comes from the cardboard sticker sheet that is available separately, I layered everything up with foam pads to add a little dimension.

You are Beautiful

I created this card with a combination of the 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 papers from the Graphic 45 Fashion Forward collection, it is a small card and will fit into the Concertina Calendar Album that I am creating.

Everything is from the collection, all I have added is some black card stock, I cut the little scalloped border with a Clearly Besotted die -  I love this image, she is very glamorous isn't she.

80th Birthday

Just before Christmas my Mother-in-Law asked me to make a Birthday card for a friend of hers who is turning 80 this month.

Her friend likes Flowers and Pink so I decided to use my NitWit Annabelle Collection, it is full of pretty pink flowers.  I printed several copies of the flowers so that I could fussy cut them and layer them up using foam pads, the sentiment is from the DigiStamp Boutique, I changed the colour to match the papers and cut it out with a Hunkydory die.

Fashion Forward Calendar Album

Some time ago I purchased a Calendar Concertina Album Tutorial from My Creative Spirit, there are several options available and I chose the The Calendar Version of the Twelve Pocket Concertina Album.

This is the front of the January Calendar insert.

I though I would make up one the Calendar Inserts each month, hopefully I will complete the entire Concertina Album by the end of the year.

This is the inside of the Insert with the calendar and an ephemera card inserted into two small pockets.

This is the inside with the calendar and ephemera card removed from the pockets.

This is the back of the Calendar Insert.

That's January completed, lets hope I manage to finish the other months and the Concertina Album by the end of the year.
