Blossom Album

This the Album that I created at the online Craft Retreat that I joined recently, it was run by Clare from My Creative Spirit. We created four projects, the first of which was the Tall Boy that I shared HERE.  This is the second project, an Album, we could also create a Brag Book and a Ribbon Tied Journal.

I apologise in advance for all of the photographs, it is so difficult to share something like an album!

I used the Graphic 45 Blossom collection again, above is the front cover and below is the inside front cover and first page.  I added a pocket that contains the tags that I shared HERE and the first page is a policy envelope, it opens up so that you can store things inside.

This is the back of the policy envelope and the front of the second page, there is a flap and a pocket, the flap is held closed by the Journaling/Ephemera Card, you can see it open in the second photograph below.

This is the back of the second page and the front of the third page, the back of all the pages is the same design, there is a belly band that you can tuck things behind.  The third page has another flap with a pocket, you can see it opened up on the following photograph.

The third page opens out twice and you can pop photographs or Journaling/Ephemera cards behand the little belly bands.

This is the flaps opened up once and in the photograph below they are fully opened, I was struggling to get everything in the photographs at that stage.

This is the fourth page, I have another flap on this one, you can see it opened up on the following photograph, all of the flaps have magnetic closures.

This is the inside of the back cover, I haven't decided whether or not to decorate it yet, I'm thinking about putting a waterfall element on it.

I hope you are not bored with all of the photographs, it's difficult to capture everything - a video would probably be easier but then I would need something to mount my camera on!

Sending Love

I have taken another little break from the album that I am creating to create a quick slimline card.

I have used my Graphic 45 Blossom collection again, I used 3 of the Journaling & Ephemera Cards, I have two collections of these, I fussy cut the blooms two times so that I could layer them up.  Two of the papers are from the Patterns & Solids pad and the other one is from the 8 x 8" paper pad, I used my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies to cut the banners and cut the doily with a die from the Graphic 45 Square Tag & Clock die collection.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Wonderful Friend

I'm still busy creating the album that was part of the online Craft Retreat that I joined last weekend, I created these tags to go in one of the album pockets and thought I would pop in and share them with you.

My inspiration came from some tags that Teresa Cruz shared on the Graphic 45 Blog.  I used two large black tags and covered them both with papers from the Blossom collection.   I then punched one edge of two 4" x 6"Journaling & Ephemera Cards and distressed the edges.

I fussy cut lots of flowers from one of the 12" x 12" patterned papers and layered some up on each tag.  The sentiments are old ones from my stash and I added a couple of seam binding bows.

Butterflies and Roses

I have created this card using the Hunkydory Animal Kingdom collection, I used a topper from the Little Book, I fussy cut several layers along with card stock from the Luxury Topper Collection.

As you probably know, I love to fussy cut and the little books are perfect for this, the torn edge corner and border are cut from the Duo Design Vintage Maps & Aged Paper pad and the sentiment is an old Craftwork Cards one from my stash - everything has been layered with black card stock.

Craft Retreat

I took part in an online Craft Retreat at the weekend, it was run by Clare from My Creative Spirit and I have to say I really enjoyed it.  We created four projects, the first of which was this Tall Boy.  There were several options available, I chose the Platinum option which included all of the products that you needed to create all four projects.

We were supplied with all of the MDF pieces required to create this super project, the quality of the kit was fabulous, everything joined together perfectly.

I used papers from the Graphic 45 Bloom collection, they were also provided as part of the retreat, there were several different collections to choose from.

There were also two options for the design of the lid, I chose the simple one as I had not done anything like this before but you could also create a drop box with an acetate top if you wanted - maybe next time!

The three drawers all open, we attached little knobs and lined them on the inside.

This is my decorated lid, I will definitely give the drop box lid a go sometime soon, Clare explained how to do it really clearly and it wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be.  I will certainly join any future retreats, it was quite tiring but very enjoyable.

Love and a Dog

This is the second card that I created with my Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs collection, I love the bright colours.

I have used three of the lovely papers, a topper and a sentiment from the collection along with some black card stock for my base.  I also fussy cut some flowers from one of the 12 x 12 sheets of paper to embellish my card.

The beauty of Nature

I saw this beautiful image on the CraftsUprint site and loved it so much that I decided to buy it.  I didn't really like the background that came with the image so I added some of my own papers.

I chose one of the papers from the new Stamperia Amazonia collection and after inking all of the edges I backed everything with dark brown card stock.  I used foam pads to adhere the image for dimension, there is also a decoupage layer, I also added a sentiment that came with the image, there are several to chose from.

Spring Flowers

I have created another card with the Hunkydory Spring Celebration collection that was the Club Gift this month.

The floral papers, topper and circular surround are all from the Spring Celebration collection and the green paper, flowers, butterflies and sentiment are from the Dovecraft Butterfly Kisses collection, I think these two collections complement each other beautifully.

Inspire

Have you seen the new Stamperia releases, they are absolutely gorgeous.  I have created this card using the new Passion collection, it is full of gorgeous musical and ballet themed toppers and papers.

I fussy cut this beautiful cello image from the 8 x 8" pad to create a slimline card.  I attached it using foam pads for dimension, the sentiment is also from the collection along with the papers.

Lucky Dog

I have lots of Graphic 45 Collections and I really must start using some of them, this one is Raining Cats and Dogs, it's quite an old one.

I saw a super centre step card on Pinterest and decided to create my own version.  I used a Crafter's Companion card blank that I still have from my Design Team days, I used two of the papers, the pretty floral one is from the main collection and the dotty one is from the Patterns & Solids pad along with a border.  I used one of the beautiful Cut-Aparts and fussy cut the flowers from one of the beautiful papers, I cut an addition flower so that I could layer it up for dimension.

The Sea is calling ...

This is the second card that I have created with my Authentique Voyage collection, this one is a bit more shabby that the other one that I made.

I distressed the edges of the papers and I decided to tear the bottom of the two smaller layers, the tag and small sentiment are both from the collection.  The little lifebuoy is a die from the Sara Davies Nautical Signature collection - I cut it twice, once from some pale woodgrain paper and again from some red, both from the collection, I then snipped four pieces from the red die cut and layered them onto the other one.  To finish I added some rustic twine and some hand made card candi.

Spring Celebration

I have created another card with the Hunkydory Spring Celebration collection that was the Club Gift this month, I decided to create a Z-fold card.

I used one of the beautiful printed card stock sheets, I cut a piece from the bottom to create the smaller section of the card and fussy cut the bunny and the lamb.  I fussy cut the sentiment from the packaging and used a sheet of adorable scorable as my base and to back everything.  The butterflies are from the Dovecraft - Butterfly Kisses collection.

Set Sail

I saw some nautical cards created by Alicia McNamara on YouTube, she had used a Twitchit Craft Kit but I thought I would use my Authentique Voyage collection to create something similar.

I used three of the papers along with a topper, I used my Die-namic Fishtail Flag dies to create the banner and I cut the little Anchor using a die from the Sara Davies Nautical Signature Collection, I cut it from Kraft card stock and added a little gilding wax.

On my Mind

I created this card with the latest Sara Davies Signature Collection - Vintage Diary, I think she is launching another collection next week, they seem to be launching so many new products at the moment it is difficult to keep up!

I decided to create another slimline card using the teacup image from one of the papers, I die cut it from one sheet and fussy cut it from another so that I could layer it up for dimension.  I used two more of the beautiful vintage papers along with some corrugated card and inked the edges of everything to enhance the vintage feel.  The flowers were cut from the reverse of one of the papers, the reverse sides are all plain colours, I added another sentiment from my Lisa Horton Crafts Wordage Sheets.

Celebrate Spring

I have created a card with the latest Hunkydory Club Gift called Spring Celebration along with some bits and pieces from the Dovecraft Butterfly Kisses Collection, the colours in these collections complement each other perfectly.

There are patterned papers to go with the Spring Celebration collection as well as the usual patterned card stock, I used four different patterned papers/card stock sheets, a topper and a sentiment, I also added some purple Adorable Scorable card stock.  The flowers and butterfly are from the Butterfly Kisses collection.

A true friend ...

I have another vintage style card to share today, I have used the Sara Davies Vintage Diary Signature Collection.

The main part of the card has been cut from one of the papers, there are three sheets of each design, I then fussy cut the clock and bust again from one of the other sheets and layered them up with foam pads for dimension.  One of my blog friends, Jill from Ribbon Challenged, blogged a card with a pleated detail on it and I thought that it would be perfect for this style of card - thank you for the inspiration Jill.  The sentiment is one of the stamps from the collection and the flowers were cut with my Tattered Lace Fleurs Dies.

Birthday Butterfly

This is the final card that I have created with my Stamperia Spring Botanic collection, I have lots left though, plenty to make some more in the future.

I used four of the papers along with some pink card stock and inked the edges of everything again.  I used one of the beautiful toppers, there are so many of them, it was difficult to choose which one to use, the sentiment is another one from my Lisa Horton Crafts Wordage Sheets and I used my Tattered Lace Fleurs Dies to cut the flowers.
