Amethyst

I have been using up some old stash again, this time the Kaisercraft Amethyst collection.

I have used some of the 6 x 6" papers, I fussy cut the flower corners and added them with foam pads, the sentiment is also from the 6 x 6" paper pad.  I fussy cut the butterflies from one of the 12 x 12" papers and added some Hunkydory gems to them.

On the Canal

This is the card that I have created for my Brother in Law, I find him quite difficult to make for because he does not have any hobbies,  he did have a canal boat though so that is what I decided to go with.

I used images from the Hunkydory Picture Perfect It's a Mans Life pad and papers from the Hobbies for Him pad.  I computer generated the sentiment and added a verse to the inside.

A Milestone Birthday

My Sister will be celebrating a milestone Birthday next month and this is the card that I have created for her.

I used a Tattered Lace Die along with some of the new Floral Favourite Snippables from Hunkydory, I'm still not sure about the Snippable concept, it is quite a fiddle.  I decorated the inside of the card and added a nice verse.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Hey There

I have created another New Baby card with my Violet Studio collection.  I think this collection is perfect when you don't know the sex of the new baby.

I used two of the papers, a topper, a tag and a die cut, I added a little scrap of ribbon, secured with twine, to the tag - quite a simple card to put together.

Eclipse New Home

This is the card that I made for our friends that moved house this week.  I used a download from the Happy Watercolour Shop on Etsy.

There are several different houses, cars and trees in the download collection, I used several of them to create my little scene and printed it out on white cardstock.  I used some unlabelled dies that I have had for ages to cut the letters and create an eclipse style card.  I used some Crafter's Companion dies to cut the small letters and a Hunkydory die to cut the little tags, I put the name of their new house on the tag and added a little key charm.  The download includes a paper made up of all of the single images and I used this on the inside of the card.

Home Sweet Home

Some friends of ours are moving home this week and this is a small gift that I have made for them.  I saw something similar to this for sale on one of the handmade sites and thought to myself, I could make that, the one that I saw was made with fabric but mine is paper.

I have used old stash again, some very old papers along with a frame that I have had for ages.  I cut the house, windows, door and trees and just roughly drew around the outside with black pen.  The background is two pieces of Craft Consortium Grunge paper and I used Hunkydory dies to cut the letters from more scraps of paper.

Hello Baby

I decided to have a play with my Violet Studio Baby Collection.  I used a sketch created by my blog buddy, Jules - Always with a Heart, she is happy for anyone to use them so pop over to her blog and take a look, there were fifty four square sketches last time I looked and also some rectangular ones.

I have used four of the papers along with a topper to create my card, the scalloped border was cut with a Clearly Besotted die and I used a very old die to cut the little stars, I covered them with 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Shopping

This is the final card that I will be making with my Bellisima collection from Docrafts for a little while, I need to make a New Home card and gift for some friends.

This card uses two more of the Bellisima papers, a decoupage topper and a sentiment, the script paper is from Bazzill Basics.  As usual I inked the edges of everything and used foam pads to add dimension, the gems are from Hunkydory.

More Butterfly Kisses

I have created another card with my Dovecraft Butterfly Kisses collection, there are lots of toppers and papers in this collection and I'm still on a mission to actually use things up.

Another relatively simple card, I used two of the papers and one of the decoupage toppers - I always end up trimming die cut decoupage, there are always bits that aren't cut very well and the little bits that attach the pieces to the backing need to be removed, I've made a right mess in my Craft Room!

Pink and Mint

I have another card to share using the Bellisima collection from Docrafts, I'm still using old stash!

I have used three of the pretty papers, a decoupage topper and a cut down sentiment, I inked the edges of everything, used foam pads for the decoupage and die cut some flowers to embellish.

Our internet provider has informed us that our internet may be down intermittently today, they are doing some routine maintenance, I'm not looking forward to that!

Purple Butterflies

I have been playing with my Dovecraft Butterfly Kisses collection again, I think this is a really pretty collection.

I have created a more simple card this time, I have used two of the papers, some purple and black cardstock and a layered topper.  I also fussy cut some butterflies to embellish my card and added a small black fishtail flag.

Bellisima

I am really making a concerted effort to use up some of my older stash - I really need to make some room in my Craft Room!

I have created this card with the Bellisima collection by Docrafts, I used one of the papers and a decoupage topper, This collection must be at least five years old!  I added some script papers from Bazzill and some pretty pastel paper from the First Edition The Promise paper pad - lots of very old stash.  I did some paper tearing, inked the edges of everything and added some die cut flowers - the sentiment is from the Bellisima collection, I cut it down a little because I wanted it smaller.

Caring Thoughts

I created this card for my youngest son to give my Mother-in-Law for her Birthday, I used the Sara Davies Caring Thoughts collection.

I decided to create a double z-fold card, I made it a bit differently from what I usually do - I decided to put the verse on the back panel, I usually put them on the back of the card.  I used one of the beautiful papers and one of the pretty decoupage images, there are dies to go with them so that makes things very easy.  I computer generated the sentiment and verse and cut them out with some Hunkydory dies.  The butterflies are from the paper pad, they are die cut but they had a white edge so I decided to fussy cut them as I didn't like it.

Butterfly Kisses

I saw a video by Sam, Mixed Up Craft, she created a Cascading Gatefold Card and I liked it so much that I decided to make one - it is a lot easier than it looks and Sam explains it really well.

I used the Butterfly Kisses collection from Dovecraft, the same collection as Sam but a different paper, I also used some plain purple cardstock that I embossed with an old Crafter's Companion embossing folder.  Both of the toppers are from the Butterfly Kisses collection and they are die cut decoupage, I also made a box envelope to put the card in using some of the papers.  The Mum was cut using some Hunkydory Moonstone Alphabet dies, I added 3D Crystal Lacquer to make them stand out a bit more.

Elegance Album

This is the completed album that I created following one of the My Creative Spirit Facebook Live classes that was taught by Clare Charvill, there are classes every fortnight and I have learnt so much from Clare.

This is the front of the album, I have kept it flat because it goes inside a shadow box that was also part of the class - you can find it HERE.

Above is the inside cover and first page, there is a tag and a little card in the flap on the inside cover - they have lovely verses about Mum on the inside.  Below you can see the first page open, there is a flap that tucks into a pocket and a photo mat that goes inside a large pocket, plenty of room for photographs.  There are four pages in total, and they alternate between this arrangement and the one I will show you next.

Below is the back of the first page and the front of the second, there is a small flap that opens to reveal small pocket that I have placed a journal card in.

The next photo shows the flap open and the journal card tucked into the small pocket along with another photo mat that fits into a large pocket.  All of the small flaps have magnets to keep them closed.

Below you can see the back of page two and the front of page three, I haven't photographed page three opened out as it is very similar to page one.

The next photo is the back of page three and the front of page four, this is the same as the front of page two.

Finally, you will be pleased to hear, you can see the back of page four with a little belly band that you can tuck photographs behind and the inside of the back cover.  There is a pocket, the same as the back of the front cover, into which I have placed a card with an other lovely Mum verse on the inside.

I am really enjoying creating these albums and following along with the My Creative Spirit Facebook Live classes, Clare is an excellent teacher and shares lots of tips and ideas.  I'm also using up lots of my stash of papers, I just need to make sure I don't buy another set to replace them.

Elegance Shadow Box

I joined another My Creative Spirit Facebook Live class, this time Clare taught us how to make a shadow box and pocket album, I am making this to give my Mother in Law for her Birthday, it's OK, she doesn't look at my blog.

There is a window in the top, you will be able to see the album through it, in the photo above you can see the flap on the front with magnets to hold it closed.

This is the inside of the box, it is fully lined and there is a small box on the inside, I will put some nice chocolates in it.

This is the little box open, I will take another photo when I have filled the small box and popped the album inside - I've not completely finished it yet, I need to get a move on.

I have mitred the corners on the base layer again, I rather like how it looks.  I have used two papers, a journaling card and some flowers that I have fussy cut from another of the papers.  I have inked the edges and used cream card stock to layer everything up.
