Small Square Doily

I was asked to create some cards for the latest copy of Die-cutting Essentials, I was sent a Cheery Lynn Designs Square Doily Die and asked to create six projects.

For this card I used the smaller die from the set and some papers from the Crafter’s Companion Downton Abbey collection.

I alternated two different colours of card stock and used foam tape to add dimension.

I created the sentiment with a die from the Sara Davies Birthday Party Signature Collection.

On your 21st Birthday

This is another of the  Milestone Birthday cards that I created for last months Making Cards Magazine.  I used the beautiful NitWit Bundled Enchanting Collection.

I created a sunburst background with the papers and added a sentiment from the Milestone Word Art collection by the DigiStamp Boutique.

I fussy cut the flowers and inked the edges before layering them up.

Thank you for calling this morning, please leave a comment so that I know you've been and will be able to come and visit you.

A Rose for You

It's time for a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and the theme for the next fortnight is Add a Butterfly.

I have used this adorable Little Gem with Rose Digi Stamp available in the Pink Gem Designs Shop to make my card.

I coloured Gem with ProMarkers and decided to create a Z Fold card using some papers from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge collection.

I used my Die-namics butterfly dies to create the butterflies and added a sentiment, ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Make sure you pop over to the A Gem of a Challenge blog and join us for our Add a Butterfly challenge, don't forget to visit the Pink Gem Designs Shop to take a look at all of the fabulous Digi Stamps and Kits that are available, grab a coffee and have a leisurely browse whilst you are there.

Love is ...

I'm sharing a card that I have made using items from the fabulous Polkadoodles Belle Papilon Paper Craft Kit.

I used papers from the 6 x 6" Paper Pad, I trimmed the butterfly sheet around the butterflies before distressing and inking all of the edges.  I then layered it onto another of the beautiful papers also with distressed and inked edges.  I cut some additional butterflies from another sheet, layered them up for dimension and added some sparkle.

The sentiment is from the CD, there are over 500 unique elements on it (no elements are repeated in the papers or stamps).  To finish my card I added die cut corners and a bow from the Ribbon/Gift Frames and Corners Die.

You make my heart soar

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, the theme this week is Balloons and I decided to use an adorable image from LOTV.

It's really good that LOTV are now selling their images in digital format, it's so useful to be able to resize them.  I have coloured my cute Odd Dog with Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens and added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the balloon.

The sentiment comes with the image, I just cut it into a banner and added some twine.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Less is More Challenge 313 - Balloons
Lili of the Valley Facebook February Challenge - Love
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - The Colour of Love
