I picked a leaf whilst out for a walk and inked it up with two different green distress inks, I then placed it on a card base, placed a piece of scrap paper on top and pressed it down firmly.
To complete my really CAS card I just added a Craftwork Cards stamped sentiment.
I would like to enter this card into the Less is More Challenge 319 - One Layer Card - Leaves.
Thank you for calling today, your company is much appreciated.

What a fabulous idea, I've not done that since my childhood! The ink really has picked up some great detail from the leaves. Loving that sentiment too with the little 'x'.

Fab idea, so creative Pauline! I do this with Gelli printing but never thought of it for a normal card, and it's produced such a gorgeous effect! Love the clean simplicity and tranquil feeling you've achieved. Bravo! Thanks for playing along with us at Less is More :)

Nothing as gorgeous as Mother Nature, Pauline. I love using leaves in so many ways - they make most projects so much better! When I used to do pottery, it was great fun to press leaves into the soft clay, and allow the kiln to burn them off in the first firing. Then I'd use a variety of glazing techniques to highlight the pretty leaf patterns. Your card is BEAUTIFUL! hugs, de
Beautiful card, very elegant and CLEVER too.

Beautiful style with this leave.
I love this technique, such a natural look and the card is stunning!
This 'back to basics' method certainly worked out perfectly, what a great idea and beautiful design!
Perfect! Your leaf is realistic! Funny how that is, huh? This is nicer than squishing the heck out of the leaf in a die cut machine.
