Traditional Santa

This is my last post this year, I will be taking a break now until the new year, so I thought I would share the card that I made for my Mother-in-Law.

Mother-in-Law likes a traditional Santa on her card, so I turned to my stash of Hunkydory Christmas collections and found this super Santa topper set.  The Merry Christmas sentiment and foiled card stock are also from the topper set, the Mum is a Creative Crafting World die.  I found a nice verse on the internet and decorated the inside to match the front.

Well, that's it from me for this year, I would just like to thank all of my lovely followers and blog friends for all of your wonderful support throughout the year and wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Musical Birthday

This is the card that I created for my youngest son to give his brother on his Birthday, he is a keen guitar player, he also writes his own songs and sings so I decided on a music theme.

The background is one of the new LOTV Watercolour backgrounds, I stamped the music over the top, I found the guitar toppers on the internet and added some washi tape and a sentiment from The DigiStamp Boutique.

Hot Chocolate Time

It was my eldest son's 25th Birthday on Friday, that time has certainly passed quickly!  We always enjoyed going to the cinema together and would have a lovely hot chocolate every time we went, so when I saw this image in the Carta Bella Warm and Cozy collection, I just had to use it on his Birthday card.

Everything is from the collection except the sentiment which is from LOTV, I cut the little stars with a die from my stash and decorated the inside with the same papers.

Birthday Girl

I have a Birthday card to share for a change today.  This is for a friend of the family, her Birthday is just before Christmas.

I used the Simple Stories Let's Party Collection, this is such a bright and cheerful collection, perfect for a youngsters Birthday.  Everything is from the collection, I fussy cut the stars and Birthday cake and used my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies to cut the sentiment.

A Merry Little Christmas

I have another Twist and Pop card to share today, I have used my Mintay The Sweetest Christmas collection again - the Cut-Apart sheets in the Mintay collections are perfect for the Twist and Pop element.

I fussy cut all of the elements from the Papers and layered them up with foam pads, the sentiment is a LOTV stamp.

This is the Twist and Pop element using a strip from the fabulous Cut-Apart sheet, not the easiest to photograph!

Jolly Santa

I created this card to give some good friends for Christmas, I used my Mintay The Sweetest Christmas Collection again - no pinks on this one though.

Lots of my favourite fussy cutting again, I layered all of the elements up using foam pads, this card will be hand delivered so I didn't need to keep it flat.  I also decorated the inside using the same papers.

Christmas Snow

This is the final card that I created for our neighbours this year.

It is similar to the other two that I created, just a slightly different scene again and this time I have used Holly and Ivy to decorate.

Blue Poinsettia

This is another Christmas card created with my Stamperia Winter Tales Collection, this time I have used a beautiful Poinsettia image.

I have used two of the beautiful papers, I added a Poinsettia that was also cut from some of the papers and a couple of die cut snowflakes.  As before I added white chalk paint around the outside of the papers and the image and added some glitter whilst the paint was still wet.

The Sweetest Christmas

This time I have been playing with my Mintay The Sweetest Christmas Collection, there are lots of super elements that you can fussy cut in this collection so I was in my element!

I layered up some fussy cut elements using foam tape for dimension and cut the sentiment from the strip that contains the company information on the bottom of the collection sheets.

I decided to create a 'Twist and Pop' card and used a strip of images from the image sheet, there are three strips of four toppers so you could create three cards this way, there are two sheets of toppers so you still have plenty to make more cards.

The last Tree

You will be pleased to know that this is the last of the cards that I made with my Marianne CrafTables die and Simply Creative Frosted Winter papers - had to cut five trees to get five different papers to paper piece on the die so I had to create five cards, I couldn't possible throw any pieces away!

I just added a piece of the Frosted Winter papers across the bottom and a couple of LOTV sentment tags, the Pom Pom trim has been in my stash for ages, I'm getting quite good at using up my bits and bobs.

Christmas Cottage

This is another of the cards that I have created to give to our neighbours this year, it is very similar to the one that I shared earlier, just a slightly different scene and different flowers.

As before, the image is from my La Pashe The Best of 2012 CD-ROM, the Christmas Roses are also from the CD, I fussy cut them and layered them up with foam pads.  To create the background I used my Crafter's Companion Snow Embossing Folder.  The verse on the inside is from the Sketchy Christmas Word Art collection by the DigiStamp Boutique.

Winter Tales

You will be pleased to see that I have a change from Christmas Tree cards today - I created this card with my Stamperia Winter Tales Collection, this is a beautiful collection full of lovely winter blues.

I decided on a shabby chic design, I edged the papers and image with white chalk paint and added glitter whilst it was still wet.  I cut the Poinsettia with an old Spellbinders die and the sentiment and snowflakes are from Crafter's Companion.

A Simple Christmas Card

This is another of the simple Christmas cards that I have created with my Marianne CrafTables die and Simply Creative Frosted Winter papers - only one more after this, I'm sure you are getting a bit bored with them now.

I just added a couple of strips of the Frosted Winter papers down each side and a Kirsty Wiseman stamped sentiment.  I found some old, clear foam tape in my stash and used it to adhere the tree, it's a bit sticky but at least you can't see it like white foam tape.

Christmas Gift Bags

I have been busy making some Christmas gift bags for my eldest son.  He is a teacher and will be filling them with little treats to give his class for Christmas.

There are thirty in total, I used a variety of Christmas papers from my stash and they are all ready to be filled and tied up.  I apologize for the poor photograph, it was late when I finished them and he needed to take them home with him.

Night Sky

This is another of the cards that I have created with my old Marianne CrafTables die and Simply Creative Frosted Winter papers.

I used a circle die to cut the aperture and added some Digital Cloud Paper from LOTV behind the tree.  The sentiment is from Making Cards Magazine - another simple card suitable to post.

I would like to enter this card into the CD Sunday Plus Challenge #50 - Anything  Goes.

This is one of the cards that I have made to give our neighbours this year.

The image is from my La Pashe The Best of 2012 CD-ROM, the Poinsettias are also from the CD, I fussy cut them and layered them up with foam pads.  To create the background I used my Crafter's Companion Snow Embossing Folder.  The verse on the inside is from the Sketchy Christmas Word Art collection by the DigiStamp Boutique.

Glowing Candle

This is another of my quick Christmas cards, this time I have used a Memory Box die that has been in my stash for some time.

I cut the die from white card stock and backed it with some Grunge papers from Craft Consortium.  I added another layer of white card stock and Craft Consortium papers, the sentiment is computer generated.

Christmas Tree

I'm still on a mission to make my Christmas cards this year, I found an old Marianne CrafTables die that has been in my stash for some time and decided to make some simple cards with it.

I cut the tree from white card stock and five different papers, I then mixed them all up to make five different trees.  I have created five different cards with my trees and this is the first.

Christmas Wreath

My blog buddy Jules has been posting lots of "quick and easy", her words not mine, Christmas cards and she has inspired me to get on and do the same.  You can find the cards that Jules has been creating HERE.

I think Jules has been more successful than me but I'm not going to give up that easily, I have a few more ideas I will be trying!  I used a download that I found on Etsy along with a die cut sentiment from Creative Crafting World, I've kept it really flat because it will be going in the post.

Candy Cane

I have created this card for this months Rudolph Days Challenge, it's the final one for this year.

I have used my Simple Stories Simple Vintage North Pole Collection, I purchased the Collection Kit and loved it so much that I picked up the digital collection as well so that I could print multiple copies of the images and create some decoupage layers.

I would like to enter this card into the November Rudolph Days Challenge.

Autumn Time

Whilst I had my Graphic 45 - Time to Flourish collection on my desk I decided to create a card with the leftover pieces from the September pages.

My Inspiration came from one of the Project Sheets on the Graphic 45 website, I changed it up a bit to make it my own.

Time to Flourish Album

I decided to create a Mini Album/Birthday Book with my Graphic 45 Time to Flourish collection, I thought I would start with the Autumn Months.

I used a Graphic 45 Ivory Rectangle Tag & Pocket Album, I will create my own album in future though, it is much easier to decorate than a ready made one.

I'm not very happy with it so far and don't know if I will bother to finish it, I seem to run out of inspiration and get bored after a little while at the moment!

Snowball Fight

This is the final card that I have created with my Authentique Frosted collection, I still have a few bits left but I'm running out of inspiration now, do you run out of inspiration when trying to use up a whole pad of paper?  I have used a couple of sheets of the papers to create some gift bags, I am making 30 for my teacher son to pop some bits and pieces in for his class at Christmas - I make them for him most years.

I added some heart shaped buttons from my stash and a stamped sentiment, the ribbon is the same colour as the purple on the image but my camera has decided differently!
