I spent ages trying to embellish this card, I tried ribbon, twine, sequins and gems but nothing looked right so I have left it really clean and simple. All that I have added is a Marianne stamped sentiment, some Wink of Stella glitter to the cupcakes and frill on her dress and some 3D Crystal Lacquer to her earings, necklace and shoes.

I think you have done right just adding the sentiment. It is too gorgeous and image to be surrounded by embellies.
