Winter Scene

This is the last of the Christmas cards that I made using my The Best of La Pashe CD.  These cards are relatively easy to make and were ideal for my neighbours.

The flower embellishments have been decoupaged, I'm not quite sure what they are - winter roses perhaps.  I have embossed the white base and layered both that, the image and sentiment on silver Mirri.

I kept the inside decoration very simple:

Card Recipe

Image:  La Pashe - The Best Of La Pashe CD
Card Stock:  White - Crafter's Companion, Silver from stash
Tools:  Crafter's Companion - Die'sire Embossalicious folder
Sentiment:  from stash

Love Hearts

Good morning, I hope everyone is well and managing to keep nice and warm.  I would like to extend a very warm welcome to my lovely new followers, I hope you enjoy your visits to my little blog.

We have a new challenge for you at Bearly Mine Designs and this week the theme is HEARTS GALORE.

Everything that I used to make this card is from the Bearly Mine Designs Designer Extreme CD with the exception of the white card stock.  I sprayed the dark pink paper and all of the hearts with Crafter's Companion Spray and Sparkle - unfortunately it doesn't show up very well in the photograph.  The large hearts were cut using a Sizzix die and the small ones using an Epiphany punch, I added the text in word.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

We have two Sponsors again this week:

Alota Rubber Stamps

$15 Gift Certificate

and

Noor Design

Leaves Die

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sweet Stamps Challenge 102 - Valentine or Love
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 191 - Valentines Day/Love
Creative Craft Challenge 2 - Bling it Up (Spray & Sparkle)

Going Fishing

This is one of the DT cards I made for the Launch of the Ooh La La Creations Yesterday's Memories CD on Create & Craft - did you see the show yesterday the CD was a sell out, but you can get a copy from Ooh La La Creations and it's free P&P.

I chose to use this lovely decoupage image called Fishing and three papers all from the CD.  Everything has been layered onto gold Mirri and I added some hessian and two little fish charms that have been in my stash for ages.  For the sentiment I just enlarged one of the backing papers and cropped the 'Happy Birthday' text, cut it out and layered it onto some of the gold Mirri.

As usual I have decorated the inside of my card using the same papers and layout as the front.

Make sure you pop over the the Ooh La La Creations online shop, there is a fabulous gallery with lots of gorgeous samples if you still need some help to make up your mind about this brilliant CD.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Celebration Cake

This card has been made using some fabulous My Mind's Eye Lost & Found papers that I treated myself to in the New Year sales, they are all lovely soft beige and pink.

I have used Kraft card stock for my base and die cut the Whoopsi Daisy image out with my Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle.  A lace doily, pearls and ribbon have been added along with two LOTV tags.

It's not quite as washed out as it looks in the photographs, I'm going to blame the poor light again but it could just be the photographer.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Craft Room Challenge - Monochrome
Digital Tuesday Challenge 195 - Favourite Colour Combo (Monochrome)
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Tie Up Your Loose Ends

Dreaming of Summer ...

This is the card I have made for the CD Sunday Challenge this week, the theme is 'Forever in Blue Jeans' .  Well this one was a bit of a challenge again, most of the images I have had been used by the DT ladies so I was desperately searching through my CD's when I remembered this fab little image from the Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K. collection.

She really makes me yearn for warm summer days, especially as I'm looking out of the window at the remains of last weeks snow which still refuses to melt.

The CD element on this card is the backing papers, they are from the S.W.A.L.K. Papercrafting CD-ROM 2.  My base card stock is Stardream from Joanna Sheen and the sentiment is LOTV.

I have followed the sketch from Seize the Birthday a relatively new Sketch Challenge that I have only just discovered and I have decorated the inside of my card to match the front.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - Forever in Blue Jeans
Seize the Birthday Challenge - Feminine Birthday with Sketch #3
Dream Valley Challenge 49 - Girls, Girls, Girls

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are all safe and warm.  They have forecast more snow here this evening and tomorrow and we haven't got rid of the last lot yet!

For this one I have used the Valentine Bird Collection and Simply for Valentines set from the Digi Stamp Boutique, some red card stock, some white card stock and a Sizzix Heart Die.

I have kept the inside very simple as well, just using the sentiment and one layer of red and one of white card stock.

Perhaps it's a bit simple, I haven't really made my mind up yet!

This is the card that I made for my Mum and Dad for Christmas this Year, they love Robins and have one that visits them every morning for breakfast so I thought this image from my Best of La Pashe CD would be ideal.

The image is decoupaged and I also decoupaged the holly and ivy embellishments, the sentiment was computer generated.  I did decorate the inside, but as I was running late (as usual) I did not manage to photograph it before I wrote in it.

Well this is the most CAS card I have ever made, I haven't even decorated the inside but that could change!

Art Nouveau - Just!

My husband always tells me I'm going senile and I'm beginning to think he could be right.  I always go and find out what the new challenge at CD Sunday is each Sunday morning and for some reason I convinced myself that this weeks challenge was Oriental. So I decided which CD I was going to use and the image and papers and everything, fortunately I popped over to a friends blog to leave a comment and noticed that her card was for the Art Nouveau challenge at CD Sunday - thank you Jo, if it wasn't for you I would have gone ahead and made my Oriental card.

So back to the drawing board and problem number two, I have the Peerless Designs CD that the ladies on the DT used and they had pretty much covered the images on there so I didn't really want to use that one and hunt as I may I could not find any other Art Nouveau images - Art Deco, no problem!  Eventually I came across Nouveau Rose by Sharon Duncan, I had won this CD some time ago over at Lindsay's challenge blog - LEJ Designs , so thank you Lindsay without you I would have had no card for this weeks challenge.

Anyway, back to the card, I decided to use one of the floral images from the CD along with one of the backing papers, sentiments and an insert.

Everything is layered onto Onyx Stardream card stock from Joanna Sheen and I also cut die cut the corners from the Onyx card stock.

I used one of the inserts from the CD to decorate the inside of my card, I must be getting lazy and as well as senile!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - Art Nouveau
UnstampaBelles Challenge 19 - Use One or More Dies
Moving Along with the Times - Floral Delights
Simon Says Stamp - Black/White + a Splash of Colour
Songbird Challenge 11 - Paint It Black
Stamp 'n' Doodle Challenge - Something Neglected (Sharon Duncan CD)

Thank you for visiting this evening, I hope you didn't get bored with all of my ramblings.

Pastel Thank You

My boys need rather a lot of Thank You cards at the moment so when I saw the current challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays I thought I'd give it a go.  I love the clean and simple style but don't often make cards like this as my first love is decoupage and you can't get much further away from CAS than that.

I have recycled an old thank you card for my topper and just layered it onto some co-ordinating card stock.  I cut the flower and leaf using the same card stock and some white, another white layer on top of the same co-ordinating card stock, some punched corners and there you go - one thank you card, the most difficult thing is probably going to be getting one of the boys to write in it!

I have copied the same design on the inside of my card, leaving the central panel white for them to write on, I included a flower to add a little interest.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge 84 - Create a Clean and Simple Thank You Card
ABC Challenges #11 - Clean & Simple Cards
The Crazy Challenge 146 - Without design paper
Southern Girls Challenge 60 - Thank You Kindly
Hotshot Craft Challenge 14 - Clean and Simple
Allsorts Challenge Week 188 - CAS

I hope you like my attempt at CAS, having looked through the other entries in the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge I obviously have a little way to go, but I am determined to make more cards in this style.

Thank you for visiting me today, any constructive comments will be gratefully received.

Ten tiny fingers ...

Welcome to our first challenge in 2013 at Crafting for all Seasons, our theme is 'SOMETHING NEW' and our sponsor for this fortnight is:

Prize:  2 Sheets of images from the Whoopsi Daisy Digi Shop

I have used a cute Whoopsi Daisy baby image for my card and coloured her with ProMarkers.

My papers are my new item, they are from the Forever Friends New Arrival collection.  The card stock, flower and doily have all been in my stash for quite some time but the lace is also new.  My sentiment is from a set I won some time ago - there is no name on the package, I cut it out using a Spellbinders Fancy Tag die and then, as you have probably noticed, I cut away the fancy bits!  The image and the sentiment have been lightly inked around the edges. The papers are glittered and I have added some stickles to the flower.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front using the same papers.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Ribbons Challenge 36 - New Beginnings

Something a little different!

Those of you who visit me regularly might have seen me mention that I have been making some clocks, well when I saw the current challenge over at CD Sunday this week - THINK OF A NUMBER - I thought it was the ideal opportunity to show you one of them.  I know it probably wasn't what you had in mind Carol but I hope you will forgive me.

I made this one for my Mother in Law who absolutely loves anything by Thomas Kinkade.

The most difficult thing about making these clocks is finding an image that is suitable.  The centre of most images has something quite important on it and you can't really have the hands poking out of the main focal point.  The image on this one is from Joanna Sheen's Thomas Kinkade CD.

I print the numbers on top of the picture, cut it out and stick it to an MDF circle with a hole in the middle.  I then emboss the outside rim of the MDF circle and image.  Just add a clock mechanism and some hands and there you go.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - Think of a Number
2 Sisters Challenge 124 - Anything But A Card
Creative Moments Challenge 7 - Emboss It/Anything Goes
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 187 - Not a card
Ladybug Crafts Challenge - Anything but a card
Hotshot Craft Challenge 14 - Clean and Simple

Thank you so much for calling, please pop back again soon.

Good morning, I hope everyone is well and had a fabulous Christmas.  I would like to wish all of my lovely followers and visitors a very Happy New Year. We have a new challenge for you at Bearly Mine Designs and this week the theme is - SOMETHING OLD AND SOMETHING NEW.

I have a Craft Fair coming up at a School at the end of this month so I am busy making cards to sell, whilst looking through my box of completed cards I noticed that I do not have many for young children so you could be seeing quite a few this month.

My old is my Marrianne CreaTables LR0131 flower die and the new is the adorable image from The Digi Stamp Boutique, I bought it on Boxing Day, the papers are Bearly Mine Designs - Gingham and the plain blue one is from the Floral Breeze collection - I have just cropped the top and bottom to leave it plain.

I have decorated the inside of my card using the same papers and layout as the front
