Ship Shape

This is a card I have made for my niece's husband, now that is showing my age isn't it.  He builds yachts for a living so I though something nautical would be appropriate.

The image is a La Pashe decoupage sheet and the papers are from my Bearly Mine Designer Extreme CD.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.  I matted the image onto black card stock and then onto Kraft to make it stand out a little.

This is the inside of my card, I tried to show the decoupage a little but I don't think I succeeded.

I always find it difficult to embellish men's cards so I kept it simple, just some string with a button tied to one side and an anchor charm.

CARD RECIPE:

Image:  La Pashe
Papers:  Bearly Mine Designer Extreme CD
Card Stock:  Dies to Die For - Kraft, Joanna Sheen - Onyx Stardream
Embellishments: string, button and charm from stash
Sentiment:  LOTV label stamp, Wild Rose Studio text stamp

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Ann's Challenge 62 - It's a man thing!
Delicious Doodles Challenge 17 - Loads of Layers (I have six layers including the decoupage)

This is a great man's card Pauline, love the anchor charm.

I was convinced I had a charm of a ships wheel which would have been perfect for a card I made this week, when I eventually found it, it turned out to be a snowflake :o)

So the image comes that way and all you do is stick it on a card? hmmmm....I might just have to check them out. That image rocks. I love the less is more on the this as the attention stays on the photo.

Thanks for playing "tag" with us at For Fun Challenges. Hope to see you Wednesday when the new challenge is posted.

A lovely card. It's rare to find cards that are suitable for both sexes, but this one actually is! I like it!
