Nice and Comfy

I have most of Joanna Sheen's House-Mouse stamps and decided it was time to start using some of them. I thought this one would be just right for the current Joanna Sheen Challenge - Spring is in the air.

The Stamp is from the House-Mouse Spring collection and is called Crocus, I have coloured it with ProMarkers.  The gingham paper is from Joanna's House-Mouse Inserts CD and the purple floral paper is from the Wild Rose Studio Floral Paper Pack.  The ribbon is also from Joanna Sheen and the flowers and ivy leaves are from my stash.

This is the inside of my card, I have decorated it with more of the backing paper from the CD and one of the five inch inserts, also from the CD, cut down and mounted onto some white card stock to co-ordinate with the front of the card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Joanna Sheen Challenge - Spring is in the air
Love ProMarkers Challenge 107 - Ribbons and bows
My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge 47 - Spring is springing!!
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge 109 - Think Spring - Let's see some Flowers!
The Glitter Geeks Week 10 - Spring is in the Air

Thank you so much for joining me today, please come back soon.

Liebster Blog Award

I’m back again, this will be my third post today, that must be a record!   I have just received an unexpected honour, one of my DT friends - Jill from mylittlecardstudio.blogspot.com and another blog friend Clairebears from Clairebears World, have awarded me the Liebster Blog Award,  how exciting is that.

Many thanks Jill and Clairebears, the award is very much appreciated and I will display the badge on my blog with pride.

The idea of the Liebster blog award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers) to other small blogs to help spread knowledge and readership.  "Liebster" in German means "favourite",  so to carry on the tradition, I am going to pass the award on to 5 people who's blogs have inspired me and who are very supportive to others in the crafting community.

To accept the award this is what you must do:
  • Link back to the person who gave the award to you and thank them for thinking of you
  • Post the award on your blog
  • Give the award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers that you appreciate and value
  • Leave a comment on the blogs of your 5 chosen bloggers to let them know·

Here are my five:

I will be so pleased if you all feel that you can accept the award but if you don't wish to then that's fine as well.

Many thanks for stopping by today.

Willow Cottage

I'm back with my second card for today and this time it's for the new challenge over at Willow Sketchie.  There are a few changes happening here starting this week - we are now going to have a

SKETCH  and/or THEME

You can choose which one you would like to follow or if you really feel like a challenge you can do both.

This is my card and I have followed both the sketch and the theme:

This week we have this fab sketch from Miria and the theme is to use RIBBON or TWINE on your project::

Don't forget you can flip, rotate or re-size the elements of the sketch, as long as we can see the basic layout that's fine.  You can also use any image you like but we would love to see something from Willow Designs if you have it.

Both the image and papers that I used are from the Polly Pickleberry CD, the card stock is some that I bought from Create and Craft ages ago.  The border is a Spellbinders Edgeabilities die and the little fence is Marianne CreaTables LR0205, both the ribbon and pearl heart are from my stash.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge 41 - Perfect Pastels
Pollycraft Monday Challenge 130 - Spring has Sprung
Paper Creations Ink Challenge 20 - Spring is in the Air
Sketchy Colours Challenge 107 - Blue, Pink and Beige
Deep Ocean Challenge 20 - Spring
Totally Stampalicious - Spring is in the Air

Make sure you pop over to the Willow Sketchie Challenge Blog and have a look at the DT inspiration, you have until 20:00 hrs on Wednesday 14th March to enter and the prize is a voucher to spend in the Willow Designs Store.  Don't forget you can either follow Miria's sketch and/or the theme.

Thank you for visiting today, please come back soon.

Pink Enchantment

This is the first of two cards I have today and it is my DT card for The Crafty Purple Frog Challenge.

We would like you to show us your Pink and Girly cards this time, I decided to use a fancy card blank, I have loads of these and for some unknown reason very rarely use them, I inked it with distress inks because it was very white.

The image is Field of Red Poppies Decoupage from The Crafty Purple Frog, the larger of the floral papers is from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection and the smaller more pastel paper is from Joanna Sheen's Jane Shasky From the Heart of the Garden CD, it is worth buying this CD for the papers alone.  The card stock along with the flower, button and dragonfly embellishments are all from my stash.

This is the inside of my card, I have decorated it to match the front:

You can also see the layers of decoupage in this photo.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The CD Sunday Challenge - Imagine
S J Crafts Challenge 2 - Flowers - include Red or Pink
CES Challenge 75 - Flower Frenzy!
The Pink Elephant Challenge 138 - Let's see those layers (at least 3 layers)
Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge Recipe 61 - Digital
2 Sisters Challenge 81 - Recipe - 1 image, 2 patterned papers, 3 embellishments ( I took this to mean 3 different embellishments - I have a flower, a button and a dragonfly)

Make sure you pop over to The Crafty Purple Frog Challenge Blog and have a look at the inspiration, you have two weeks to enter your Pink and Girly cards.

Thank you for popping in this morning, please come back later for my second DT card of the day.
