Enjoy the Spring

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme for the next week is Birthday Girl.  I have used this beautiful image called Enjoy the Spring , she is also available as part of The Spring Collection - 6 products for the price of 4.

I used the coloured image and cut her out with a Spellbinders Circle die, I then fussy cut her several times so that I could add some decoupage layers.

I teamed her up with some papers from NitWit Collections and added a Personal Impressions sentiment cut out with my Die-namics Fishtail Flags die.  I cropped the flowers from her hat and enlarged them in Word before printing them six times and fussy cutting them to embelish my card.

Make sure you pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog and check out the DT inspiration, we would love for you to join us for our Birthday Girl Challenge. If you use a Paper Shelter image you could win a $30 Gift Certificate, if you use another image you can win 3 Digis of your choice.

Thank you for calling today, your company is much appreciated.

Spring Birds

It's time for a new challenge at CD Sunday and the theme for the next fortnight is Do what you Love chosen by Pamela.  Don’t forget to use something from a CD somewhere, however small, in the making of your card or project and give the CD credit.

I used a decoupage image and papers from my Joanna Sheen The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection Part 2 CD to create my card - you all know how much I love my Decoupage.

The gingham papers are from Bearly Mine Designs, unfortunately no longer trading.

I used a sentiment from Personal Impressions and cut the banners with my Die-namics Fishtail Flags dies - I think these are probably the most used dies in my entire collection.

Make sure you pop over to the CD Sunday Challenge blog and check out the DT Inspiration - we would love for you to join us for our Do what you Love challenge, just make sure you use something from a CD somewhere, however small, in the making of your card or project and give the CD credit.

Thank you for calling this morning, please leave a comment so that I know you've been and will be able to come and visit you.

Craft Your Passion GDT

I have been invited to GDT for the Craft Your Passion Challenge for April and this is the first of my cards.

The theme is always Anything Goes and I have used a fabulous image provided by our sponsor Kenny K.  I coloured my image with Spectrum Noir markers before cutting it out and layering it up using Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies.

The papers with stars on are from Craft Creations - they are actually Christmas papers and have been in my stash for ages.  I made the striped paper by colouring a background with my Spectrum Noir markers and stamping the stripes using an Impression Obsession stamp.  The sentiment is a Paula Pascual stamp from Personal Impressions and I have added some die cut and punched stars to embellish.

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

Sending you sunshine

This is my first of three DT posts today, you can find my Ooh La La Creations card HERE.

It's time for a new challenge at Bearly Mine Designs and this month we have a Autumnal Colour challenge for you. I have made a card using a topper from the LOTV Vintage Boys Art Pad, I just added a little extra shading.

This is the colour palette that we would like you to use:

I really struggle with colour challenges and this one was no exception, I've just about included all of the colours by using one of the papers from Donna's fabulous Just Plaides Digi Set.

I punched some little flower pots with a very old Carla Craft punch along with a Marianne die cut fence and the sun is a Lawn Fawn die.  The sentiment is a Personal Impressions stamp on a Lawn Fawn stamped and die cut cloud.

We have two fabulous sponsors again this month:

Fun in the Sun

This is the card I have made for this months Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Bright and Sunny.  I've had this stamp for some time (along with one or two others) and decided that it was time to ink it up.

I have followed the sketch from the current Sketch and Stash challenge and coloured my image with ProMarkers.  I then inked the background with Distress Inks before cutting it out with a Spellbinders circle die.  The papers are Pink Petticoat - I have embossed the plain one with a Darice embossing folder and used my new Spellbinders Curved Border die to cut the wavy border.  The little aeroplane is a button from my stash and the corner is a Die-namics die cut.  I stamped a sentiment using a Personal Impressions stamp and added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the rubber ring and glass.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Bright and Sunny
ABC Challenge 42 - No Flowers
Inky Impressions Challenge 123 - Animals
