Purple Daisies

It's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland and this week our theme is Butterflies - they can be the image, on patterned paper or as embellishments, just so long as we can see a butterfly.  We are still in our non Christmas period, we figure you may need a break from the Christmas cards for a few weeks.

This is my card using the fabulous Daisies and Butterfly image from Delicious Doodles who are one of our sponsors this week.

I coloured my image with ProMarkers and cut out an extra butterfly to add some dimension.  The Papers are from Bearly Mine Designs, I stamped the black stripes on the bottom half with Distress Ink.  The ribbon is seam binding coloured with a black ProMarker and I used my favourite sentiment tags from LOTV.

We have two fabulous sponsors this week:

with this amazing prize

and

who are offering 4 digi images of the winner's choice

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Artistic Inspirations Challenge 75 - Use Ribbon/Anything Goes
Without Words January Challenge - Spots and/or Stripes

Make sure you pop over to the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog and take a look at the fabulous DT inspiration, we would love for you to join us for our Butterflies challenge - don't forget it can be a non Christmas card this week.

Thank you so much for visiting me today, I always appreciate you taking the time to pop in. Make sure you check out my Blog Giveaway, you can find it HERE.

Party Time

This is the second card I have made for my son's best friends birthday.  He is the lead guitar player in their band 'Talking to Amy' so the card just had to have a guitar on it.

This one is a little more subdued than the last one I made.  I followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday:

I rotated the sketch because it suited the image better that way.  I used distress inks to distress the edges of the image a little so that it matched the music papers and sprayed it with Spray and Shine to give it some gloss.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of my card, decorated to complement the front:

Card Recipe:

Image:  Delicious Doodles - Electric Guitar
Papers:  Polka Doodles - Pretty Tuff CD, Hot off the Press - Roses in Harmony
Card Stock:  Dies to Die For - Kraft
Tools:  Crafter's Companion - Spray and Shine
Embellishments:  music brad from stash
Sentiment:  LOTV

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday Week 195 - Sketch
Creative Card Crew Challenge 4 - Masculine
Dream Valley Challenge 26 - Just for Men
CES Challenge 73 - Spots and Dots
One Stitch at a |Time Challenge 101 - Use a digi or no image
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Use a digital Stamp
Papertake Weekly - Getting Krafty

Thank you so much for looking today.

Rock Star

Hi all, well another day closer to Christmas.  I think I'm about ready now - or is that wish full thinking.

This is a card that I made for my son's 16th Birthday, he is really into his music and is lead singer and plays guitar in a band called 'Talking to Amy' check them out HERE, they're fantastic, but I'm probably a bit biased.

Anyway back to the card

It had to have a musical theme didn't it.  The papers are Hot off The Press and the sentiment and letters are from Double Sprinkles of Kraft, a collaboration between Nikky Hall and Sharon Armstrong, I re-coloured the letters with ProMarkers.  The Guitar image is from Delicious Doodles.  I added Crystal Lacquer to the Guitar and letters, full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of the card:
