Aged Perfectly

It is my husband's Birthday today, I am not going to say how old he is but he was born in the sixties - I found this image on the internet and thought it would be perfect.

It was very white when I printed it out so I aged it with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink so that it would match the Graphic 45 A Proper Gentleman papers that I used.  I computer generated the sentiment and also aged it with the Distress Ink.  I always find it so difficult to create cards for my family, do you find it difficult or is it just me?

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Pauline

I like the vintage style, and this card does not need an image at all. Great work!

Hi Pauline

What a fabulous card .. .. and that image/sentiment was a great find! Brilliant idea to distress it to match your gorgeous papers!

I find family cards a little more pressurised because you feel they need to be super duper special.

Many happy returns Mr Cotnob .. .. .. I hope you have a special day celebrating and are spoilt rotten!!!

Love Jules xx

I was born in the fabulous 60 too :) and I'm sure that your hubby will LOVE your card! You aged the white details so well, it's just a perfect card!!
I find hard make cards for unknown people, but not for family.

A great mix of papers for the background and a really great and perfect image for such a young man. I find male cards very, very difficult but I am fine with female cards but are now also struggling with Grandson, nieces and nephews who are now entering the teenage years, well eldest Grandson is the oldest and come April he will be 16. I am 72 in January, not a happy bunny.

A brilliant card for a man Pauline, which I always find difficult. I have both my children's birthdays before Christmas. My daughter on the 30th of this month and my son's on 4th December and I struggle with them both!!They are both in their 40's so it gets harder every year! Hugs, Carol S.xx

Wonderful card Pauline - as I seem to have so many men in the family, it's not too bad, apart from the fact they all seem to love fishing, and I am running out of fish type stamps!!
Stay safe
