Finest Make

I've been playing with my Stamperia Atelier Collection again, this time I have created a vintage card with a little pocket inside.

I fussy cut some of the elements from the paper collection and created the little pack of vintage buttons and a couple of cotton spools.  I cut the flowers from some of the papers and inked the edges of everything.

Along with the pocket inside, there is also a little flap that opens out.

Santa Please Stop Here

It's time for another Rudolph Days Challenge and this is the card that I have created this month.

I used my Authentique Joyous collection to create a vintage Christmas Card.  Everything is from the paper collection, I used my Sue Wilson Dies to cut the Poinsettias from one of the papers and just added some gems, a scrap of Textured ribbon and a button tied with twine.

I would like to enter this card into the July Rudolph Days Challenge.

Let's Shell-abrate!

This is the third of four cards that I created for the August edition of Making Cards Magazine, I used the Bonus Digital Craft Paper Collection - Mermaid, you can download it HERE.

There are six beautiful toppers and two papers, I used one of the toppers and one of the papers to create this card, I just added some cardstock and a computer generated sentiment.

Love Builds a Happy Home

Those of you that visit my blog regularly will know that my eldest son moved out at the weekend, he will be starting a new teaching job in September and he and his girlfriend have moved into a new flat together - I created this little folio to give them to welcome them to their new home.

I used the Carta Bella Home Again collection, I have the digital version which means I can print as many of the papers and elements as I wish.

This is the front, back and inside flap, the little house is a Marianne Design die, I cut it from some of the wood grain paper from the Home Again collection.

This is the inside of the folio, there is a flap with some tags tucked in it on the left, the centre panel has a pocket with a card in it and the right side has a small waterfall - there are lots of fabulous sayings in the collection and I used several of them in the waterfall section and also on the card and tags.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Stamperia Atelier

I have created a Sewing themed Folio using my Stamperia Atelier collection, my inspiration came from Kathy by Design again, you can find several projects that she has created with this collection HERE.

This is the front cover, everything is from the collection with the exception of the buttons - my Mother-in-Law gave me lots of buttons recently, there are some lovely vintage ones included in the collection.  I  cut the flowers from one of the papers using my Tattered Lace Flower Forming Dies.

There are three panels in the folio, they are all covered with the gorgeous vintage papers from the collection and there is a pocket on the left hand flap.

This is the inside of the Folio, there are two small shaped cards and a larger card in the centre pocket, on the left hand panel there is a flap that opens up and on the right hand side there is a small waterfall fastened with a vintage Bulldog clip.

This photo shows the flap opened out, the two small shaped cards and the larger card that are in the centre pocket.

This is the larger card that is in the centre pocket.

Be Good to Yourself

These are another couple of the cards that I have featured in this months Making Cards Magazine, I  used the Yoga Craft Paper Collection.

As usual I have used very little other than the paper collection because the purpose of these cards is to show what you can create using just the free papers.  I have added some cardstock and computer generated sentiments.  I made the card candi myself using the cardstock and some 3D Crystal Lacquer.

I apologise for not being around as much as normal, my eldest son is moving out at the weekend.  He is starting a new teaching job in September and he and his girlfriend are moving into a new flat together, so things are rather hectic around here at the moment.  I'm going with him to pick up the keys and get a few essentials today before they move in properly tomorrow.

This is another of the cards that I created for the August edition of Making Cards Magazine, this is the final collection of cards that I have created for the magazine as I have decided to step down from the design team to concentrate on using up all of the wonderful stash that I have accumulated - all I need to do now is stop buying more!

I used the free and exclusive digital Craft Paper Collection - Mermaids, you can download them HERE, all I have added is some cardstock, a scrap of ribbon and a computer generated sentiment.

Proud Mum Moment

I had to make another New Job card, my youngest son completed his Apprenticeship on Thursday and I'm really proud to say that he started his new job on Friday - a fantastic achievement for him.

He works in Computing and I managed to find this brilliant Mo Manning image that I thought was perfect.  I used my Tonic Keepsake Book Maker Die Set to create the card base and cut the papers.  I coloured with my Copic Markers and added a computer generated sentiment.

I used just the free papers with the addition of some cardstock and computer generated sentiments, the card candi is home made, I just punched three small circles and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Vintage Boy

This card was created using another Studio Light Collection, I'm not sure which one this is from unfortunately - it's quite an old one I think.

I love the vintage image and bunny, they are so cute.  I inked the edges of everything, layered them up using foam pads and added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the buttons.  The sentiment stamp is an old one from Simon Says Stamp.

Fresh Style

I decided to create an easel card with my Graphic 45 Farmhouse collection, this is the last project featuring the Farmhouse collection for a while - I still have lots left though, so I'm sure you will see more in the future.

I created a little pocket in the base of the card so that I could add a tag, you could pop a gift card on it or just use it to write your sentiment.  I used my Tattered Lace Flower Forming Dies to create the flowers, I cut them from some of the Patterns and Solids papers, I cut the leaves using a die from my stash.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

The August edition of Making Cards Magazine is available now, I have two sets of cards featured again this month.  This is the final time that my cards will be in the magazine, I have decided to step down from the design team - I am having a great time creating more detailed projects and using up my stash.

This card was created using the free craft papers - you can find them HERE.  There are two beautiful papers and six toppers.  The aim of these cards is to show what you can create using just the free papers, all I have added to create this card is some cardstock and a computer generated sentiment.

Farmhouse Album

I thought I would join one of Clare Charvill's Facebook Live classes, I can't join the entire class live as it starts at 6 pm and we are still cooking dinner then but you can catch up at any time - it suits me better to follow at my own pace.  They are brilliant classes and Clare is very clear and precise - there have been five so far, class 6 is scheduled to start on Friday, 17th July - you can find the details HERE.

This was Class No. 2 - The Teeny Weeny Tag Album Class, it's not that Teeny Weeny, the finished album measures 7½ " x 5½ ".  I used papers and elements from the Graphic 45 Farmhouse Collection.

This is the front cover.

The inside front cover, it has a pocket with a twist and pop card in it along with the first page that also has a pocket for a couple of tags.

The twist and pop card (or Ta Da! card as Clare calls it).

The back of page one, it has a band that you can pop photo's or journaling cards behind and the front of the second page, this has another little pocket for tags or ephemera cards.

The back of page two and the front page page three, both with more pockets.  Each page has a pocket on the outside edge that contains a photo mat, I will show you them later.

The back of page three with a little tuck spot and the front of page four with the large tag that I shared last week.

The back of page four and the inside of the back cover, the inside front cover and inside back cover are both the same.

This is the front of the photo mats.

This is the back of the photo mats.

These are all of the little tags that have been tucked into the pockets.

I would highly recommend Clare's classes, she is very professional and explains everything really well in the Facebook Live, this is the first time I have created an album from scratch.  She shows you how to create the album in two different ways, how to add the spine and all of the pages, you also receive a full supply list, tool list and cutting guide.

Loud Music

As it was out on my desk, I decided to use my Studio Light Just For Men collection to make another masculine card.

This one has a music theme, I inked the edges of everything and as usual added a sheet of Industrial backing paper, the layers have all been raised up a little using foam pads.
