You're Perfect

This is another of the cards that I created for the June edition of Making Cards Magazine. I used the super Dougie the Cat free and exclusive digital Craft Paper Collection that is available from the Making Cards Magazine Facebook page, just click on the FREE CRAFT PAPERS in the left margin.

I used one of the cute toppers and one of the papers along with some pink and blue cardstock from my stash - the sentiment is an old Sherry Russ Designs stamp from STAMPlorations.

If you are having trouble finding the magazine in the shops you can order a copy HERE, free P&P in the UK.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and appreciated.

Lovely Lavender

I have another Stamperia Provence card to share today, I am in love with this collection.  I used three of the papers along with a topper and a tag.  I used my Tattered Lace Flower Forming dies to create the flower, the leaves are a die that I think came with a kit.

From all of us

This is another of the cards that I created for the May edition of Making Cards Magazine. I used the Suminagashi craft papers and sentiments that were included with the magazine.

This one was featured on the front cover of the magazine, it's really strange - I was not very happy with this card but obviously Sally was, I quite often find that the cards that I like the least, everyone else seems to like the most!

Nightingale

We have a lot of birthdays in our family in June, it is the busiest month of the year for us, this card is for my Brother-in-Law - you probably guessed that from the sentiment!

My Brother-in-Law is quite difficult to make for, he doesn't really have any hobbies - I usually make him a seaside themed card because they live on the coast but I though I would make something different this time.  I used my Hunkydory Watercolour Wings collection, I used one of the toppers, I trimmed the gold surround away because I wanted to create a more vintage look and inked the edges, I also used one of the co-ordinating card stock sheets and some twine from my stash.

Stitched

My Mum will be celebrating her 92nd Birthday shortly and this is one of the cards that I have created for her.  I have fond memories of her making dresses for both herself and me and my sister when we were young and she passed on her love of sewing to me - I make most of my own curtains and cushions, I don't however make dresses.

I used the fabulous Authentique Stitched collection, I love the pretty papers and vintage images, I also used my Tattered Lace Flower Forming Dies to create the flowers.

Have a PARFECT Day

It is our neighbour's 80th Birthday today and this is the card that I created for him - he is  keen golfer and still plays at least a couple of times a week, in normal times that is!

I used the Hunkydory A Life of Leisure Designer Deco-Large Collection, I was in a bit of a hurry to get this card made so I took my inspiration from the inspiration sheet that comes with the collection, I just added a Crafter's Companion die cut sentiment and a simple verse that I found on the internet on the inside.

Take Me Away

I've been perusing Pinterest again and found another project by Kathy By Design that I though I would have a go at making - you can find it HERE.

Mine is quite similar to Kathy's but I have used a different paper collection and I have not decorated it quite as much as she did hers.

There is a little card in the left side pocket and the flap on the right side opens out to reveal another image.

When you open the flap on the right side there is a waterfall element for you to add photographs or journaling.

You can open the waterfall flap and this reveals more inner pockets.  I placed a bookmark in the far right one and a little journal card in the one next to it.  The centre pocket holds another, larger journal card - alternatively you could add another card.

You can see the small card and book mark in more detail in this photograph

I really enjoyed creating this, I hope you enjoyed looking.
