Christmas Shop

These are the other two cards that I created for the latest Die-cutting Essentials Special Edition, it includes a fabulous free craft kit worth over £40.

I was asked to create three Christmas themed cards using the free craft kit.

As I said in my previous post, this commission was a bit of a challenge as I was struggling with ill health at the time and I am not very pleased with the cards that I created.

For the first card I used the icicle embossing folder that is in the kit and die cut the shop front from some wood grain card stock.  The striped papers. shop sign and window scene are also included in the kit.

For the second card I die cut the shop front window from one of the papers included in the kit and trimmed the window and door of the shop front that I die cut from white card stock.  I created the snow covered roof using one of the embossing folders and added a window scene behind the window.

Both of the sentiments are from Craftwork Cards.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated.

Both cards are amazing, but the shop is my favorite one. I can feel the Old English christmasshop style in it (like in real last week when we were in England!)

Two great cards Pauline, it's a large die and must have been difficult to work with, but the results were worth it.

You are your own worst critic Pauline and I would be proud to have created these lovely cards. I really love how you did the windows on both cards - it feels like you are peeping into a wonderful Christmas indoor scene. I hope you are feeling better now.

You are too hard on yourself, Pauline. I like both of them and love the dies too. Always wish I lived in England and could get the fab magazines. I always buy a bunch to take home, whenever I am over there!

I'm sorry you weren't feeling well, but these cards are wonderful. Bring back memories of looking in the windows of stores around the holidays as a child at all the wonderful treasures inside.
