Twenty One

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, I've only just managed to scrape in this week - better late than never!

As soon as I saw the theme of  'Alphabet' this idea popped into my head - I don't know why, it's more text than alphabet but I hope it's OK.

It is a friends 21st Birthday next month and as the card will be posted I though that this CAS design would be perfect.

I used my Tonic Number dies to cut the '21' from black card stock and just placed the text, which I computer generated, behind it. The sentiment is a Woodware stamp heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I would like to enter this card into the Less is More Challenge 316 - Alphabet.

Thank you for calling today, your company is much appreciated.

Happy Birthday and Good Luck

It's time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme for the next week is Boys are back in town - A card for a Male.   I have used this fabulous collection called Businessman - as you probably know each set consists of one inked stamp, one coloured stamp, one matching paper and one composition.

I have created two cards, for the first one I have used the composition, I have flipped it so that he is facing the opposite way as I wanted to add the 'It's Your Birthday banners on the left hand side.

I printed him twice so that I could add dimension and used the matching paper to decorate the inside of my card.

For my second card I used the coloured stamp and some papers from the Trattoria Chef Paper Pack, I printed the image twice so that I could add some dimension.

I computer generated the sentiment and decorated the inside of my card to match.

Make sure you pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog and check out the DT inspiration, we would love for you to join us for our Boys are back in town Challenge. If you use a Paper Shelter image you could win a $30 Gift Certificate, if you use another image you can win 3 Digis of your choice.

Opposites Attract

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, it's the dreaded one layer week and the theme is Opposites Attract.

I googled opposites and this idea popped up, google is a wonderful resource - I don't know how we ever managed without it!

I printed a black rectangle along with the words onto white card stock and then folded it to create my card blank, I then printed another black and white panel.  I die cut a heart from the card blank and cut another one from the other black and white panel turning the die so that the black was on the opposite side.

I then used the inlaid die cut technique and inserted the second heart into the cut out.

I would like to enter this card into the Less is More One Layer Card Challenge.

Thank you for calling this morning, please leave a comment so that I know you've been and will be able to come and visit you.
