Side by side forever

Good afternoon, today I am sharing a card I have made for a new challenge blog 'FETCH A SKETCH'.  I love sketch challenges so was really pleased to find a new one to play along with.

My card is an anniversary card for my husband, I hope he appreciates the humour.  The image is 'Side by Side', one of the Meet the Gleanies range from Joanna Sheen, I've coloured it using ProMarkers.  I've had these stamps hanging around for a while now (where have I heard that before!) and never found a use for them.

I used my lovely new Beach Bum papers from Fancy Pants layered onto core'dinations card stock.   To embellish my card I stamped and coloured a couple of extra hats and added some buttons from my stash.  Full details of everything I have used are detailed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Taekwondo Boy

I've made this card for my son's birthday, he is really into Taekwondo and Korean Kick Boxing at the moment and I thought this little image from LOTV would be just right.  I coloured the image with ProMarkers and used purple core'dinations card stock because his belt is currently purple with a gold stripe.  I have followed Donalda's sketch over on this weeks LOTV Challenge.

I used my Spellbinders Large Pinking Circles to cut the image, mat, sentiment and corners.  I first saw these dies over on Edna's blog 'Another day, another card', they're really good for male cards.  I stamped the sentiment onto core'dinations card stock and had to emboss it to make it show up, unfortunately it hasn't photographed very well.  All of the edges have been distressed and to finish I added some buttons from my stash.  Full details of everything I have used are detailed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to match the front.

You Brighten My Day

I really am cutting it fine tonight, this is my card for the Sketch Saturday Challenge which closes tonight.  I have chosen the Teddy Bea image 'When you wish upon a star' and teamed it up with some First Edition papers.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have added several die cut stars as embellishments and edged everything in gold.  The tag is an idea that I got from Bente's DT card.  The inside of my card is decorated to complement the front.

Flutterby Winnie

I'm a bit late tonight, been having loads of problems inserting images on blogger, I don't think I'm alone there!

However, at last it would appear that I have succeeded so this is another card using the gorgeous Winnie Owl images from my Double Sprinkles of Kraft CD by Polka Doodles and Willow Designs.  I just love the pastel colours of these images and printable Kraft papers.

This card is my entry for the Polka Doodles Challenge - All of a Flutter.

I'm sure you've noticed it's rather 'pink' and girlie which is a little unusual for me.  I added some die cut and glittered butterflies to tie in with the 'All of a Flutter' theme.

And I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

So Sweet!

This is the card I have made to enter into the Willow Sketchie Challenge.  I was looking around my favourite blogs trying to find some inspiration when I found this challenge on CLAIREBEARS blog, thank you Clairebears.

I've had the 'Double Sprinkles of Kraft' CD by Polka Doodles and Willow Designs since it launched but have not got around to using it, where have I heard that before!  The lovely little Winnie images are drawn by Sharon Armstrong who is the designer and owner of Willow Designs.  I just love these images, check out all the fantastic things over at http://www.willowdesignstamps.com/.

I have used an image and backing papers from my Double Sprinkles of Kraft CD and followed this weeks sketch.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Me and my Guitar

This is my card for this weeks LOTV Challenge – Bring on The Music.  I love these new boy stamps and to tie in with the music theme I have chosen to use 'Playing Guitar', I'm not quite sure if the little dog is singing along or howling - let's hope he's singing!

I used my BoBunny ' U Bug Me' papers and die cut and ribbled some little stars for embellishments, I find it so difficult to find things to embellish boy's cards.  The music sheet is from an old set of Hunkydory papers.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Yum! Yum!

Good evening all, I'm a bit late with my card tonight but I got here in the end.  This is the card I've made for my Dad for Father's Day, he has an allotment and has a constant battle with rabbits and mice eating everything he plants, so I think this image is quite apt.

The image is from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse 'Spring is Mice' collection, I just love these little mice and all the antics they get up to.  I made the sentiment tag by tracing a label shape and cutting it in white card and then backing it with the same orange core'dinations card stock I have used to mat the image and backing papers.  I had to mask the stamp and stamp it in two halves because it was in one long strip and I wanted it to fit into the tag that I had made.  Full details of everything I have used are listed blow.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Shoes in Bloom

This is a card  I was asked to make by my Mother in Law for my Sister in Law, not an easy task trying to keep them both happy.  This would not have been my first choice for my Sister in Law, I would have chosen a more modern image, but I thought it was something that they would both like.

Everything I have used is from the Ooh La La Creations Shoes in Bloom CD with the exception of the sentiment which I cut from an old card that I had.

I am going to enter this card into the CD Sunday Challenge - If the Shoe Fits

Thank you for coming by today, I hope to see you again soon.

Computer Fun

This week it is LOTV's 100th challenge and the theme is 'ANYTHING GOES'.  This is the card I am going to enter, I love these little boy images, this one is called 'Computer Fun'.  I have used my echo park 'Little Boy Collection papers and Core'dinations card stock.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front, I always seem to do this now, I think it looks much nicer than a printed insert.

I have added a  charm and two little tags, one with Happy Birthday on it and a second one with a special little boy's name as this is a card for his birthday.

Humphrey Competition

I made this card using my new Humphrey's Corner stamps from Crafter's Companion, he is just so adorable!  I am going to enter it into the Crafter's Companion Humphrey Competition - they've already started work on the next set in the Humphrey range and are giving everyone a chance to win the new set.  I used ProMarkers to colour him and finally took the plunge and cut into my gorgeous My Minds Eye Abbey Road papers.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I used Punch Bunch punches to make the matching flowers and topped them with some buttons from my stash.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Give Us A Hug

This is the card I have made for this weeks Teddy Bo Challenge and it sure was a challenge.  I thought I would try a Centre Step Card as this weeks challenge is Shaped Cards - no squares or rectangles allowed.  It looked quite easy on the tutorial I found on the splitcoaststampers site but it certainly kept me quiet for a while.  I used my lovely new Memory Box Valise papers and Teddy Bo 61 - Bo Scared!! Bo needs a cuddle.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Please excuse my photography, this is not the easiest style of card to photograph for the inexperienced.

Spaghetti and Meatballs

Hi everyone, this is a little card I made for my eldest to give his Dad for Father's Day.  It's quite difficult to find images for a 15 year old boy to give, but this is quite appropriate because my husband likes to think he's a bit of a chef and he loves Italian food.

I used a digi stamp and backing papers from The Paper Shelter and followed this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

The corner was part of the sketch and I added the little button for extra detail.

I decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Sailor Shirt

This card was my first ever attempt at stamping.  I had been card making for about a year when I watched Joanna Sheen demonstrating some new stamps on TV.  They were her Faye Whitaker Rubber Stamps and I bought three, Kite, Dolly and this one Sailor Shirt.  My first love was always decoupage but these stamps changed that completely, I spend most of my time stamping now and my collection grows by the day.  I think my colouring has improved considerably and my inking around the edges certainly has, I never could get on with Cut-N-Dry so I use blusher brushes now, they give me a much more even effect.

Image and Sentiment:  Joanna Sheen Fay Whitaker Collection - Sailor Shirt
Papers:  NitWit - In the Meadow Collection (free with craft mag)
Embellishments:  raffia from stash

I would like to enter this card into the Shopping Our Stash Challenge 2 - Oldies but Goodies!

Thanks for looking.
