Autumn Leaves

Good morning, I hope everyone is well and enjoying the new week. We have a new challenge for you at Bearly Mine Designs and this week it's a Fall Colour challenge.

I've used a selection of Donna's fabulous papers from the Designer Extreme CD and Mini Dots collection.

I have used my Cheery Lynn Designs Small Leaves die to cut some leaves and little acorns and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp stamped onto a Spellbinders Labels Eighteen die cut.  I punched a border with an X-Cut edge punch and added some of the harlequin papers.  The edges of everything have been inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and I added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to the acorns.  The string and buttons are from my stash and I made my own card candy.

These are the colours that we would like you to use.  My colours do match in real life - I'm struggling a bit at the moment, I'm having to use my son's camera. hubby has taken the one I usually use to India with him.

We have two fabulous Sponsors this week:

Autumn Love

I'm really excited and honoured to have been invited to join the fabulous team over at the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge as a guest designer for the months of September and October, well you all know how much I love House Mouse so I'm sure you will understand how thrilled I am.

The theme for this fortnights challenge is - Autumn Leaves, make sure you pop over the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog for more details and to check out the fabulous DT inspiration and great prizes.

I used an adorable image and papers from Joanna Sheen's House-Mouse Triple CD collection.

I apologise for the poor picture quality, my husband has gone to India for two weeks and taken my camera (it's his really), so I had to use my son's and it is very different - I just can't seem to get the colours to photograph..

I embossed some burgundy card stock, and die cut some leaves using my Cheery-Lynn Designs Small Leaves dies, I then added two wooden heart buttons and some burgundy twine.

I have decorated the inside of my card using an insert from the CD.

BIrthday Star

This is the second card I made for my eldest son's best friend who was seventeen recently, I always make a couple so that Matt has a choice.  This is the card that he actually chose to give his friend.

The papers are from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up collection, I cut the larger stars with an X-cut die and the smaller ones are an X-cut punch, I then inked the edges of the larger ones with distress inks and added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the smaller ones. I hand cut the sentiment banner and the sentiment is a Studio Light stamp embossed with white embossing powder.

I also decorated the inside of the card with stars.

Birthday Boy

I made this card for a very good friend of my eldest son, he has just turned seventeen, probably one of the most difficult ages to make a boy's card for.  He's not really into sport or anything so no help there then!.

The papers are My Mind's Eye, from the Miss Caroline Dolled Up collection, there are some floral ones in the pack but quite a few of them are suitable for masculine cards.

I used a Sizzix die to cut the label and a Britannia Die to cut the sentiment, the large star is an X-cut die and I punched the smaller stars and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to them.

I have also made a matching tag to go with my card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments Challenge 88 - Any Sentiment
Shopping Our Stash Challenge 116 - For the Boys (papers from stash)
Allsorts Challenge Week 222 - It's all about the sentiment

Eclectic Ellapu Challenge - It's Sentimental
PanPastel Challenge 35 - Spots and Dots
