Happy Father's Day

I created some Father's Day cards for my youngest son to give his Dad, I always create a couple so that he has a choice.

I used the Spellbinders Toolbox Essentials, my inspiration for this card came from Emily Leiphart on the Spellbinders Blog, I have used a sentiment from Hunkydory though - this is the card that he chose.

For my second card I used the same Hunkydory sentiment but this time I created a background with the Spellbinders Splatters BetterPress Plate & Die Set from the Wildflowers Collection, the stars are part of the Hunkydory die.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

Bloom & Grow

I have four cards to share that I have created using the Rosie's Studio Bayfair Collection from Spellbinders, there is a paper collection with 6 x 6 Papers, Cardstock Ephemera, Stickers and some dies, I have just used the paper collection for these cards.

For my first card I used two of the papers and some of the ephemera, the sentiment is from the stickers.

This time I used ephemera to create a wreath and added a sentiment from the stickers.

I used Hunkydory dies to create the frame on this card and added some ephemera and another sentiment from the stickers - the fishtail flag was cut with a Die-namics die.

On my final card I created vellum borders with the romantic Slimline Borders dies from Spellbinders and cut a scalloped circle from blue cardstock to make the sentiment stand out a bit more.

That's all for now, hopefully you will visit again soon.

Lemon Fresco

I'm back today with 3 more cards that I created when I took part in the Spellinders Weekender 2025, this time they all use the Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder.

The first card was created by Jaycee Gaspar, we inked the embossing folder with Blue Hawaii ink and embossed a piece of Beeswax cardstock, we repeated this several times until the background was quite solid.  We cut some of the flowers from the Citrus Spritz die set, lightly inked the centres with the Blue Hawaii ink and added gems to the centres.  The sentiment is from the Escape the Ordinary stamp set.

The next two cards were created with Cathy Zielske.  This time we inked the embossing folder with Lemon Drop ink and used white cardstock.  The lemons and flowers are from the Citrus Spritz die set and the sentiment is from the La Dolce Vita Banner dies.

Finally we embossed Beeswax cardstock, we cut the lemon and flowers with the Citrus Spritz dies and the sentiment is from the La Dolce Vita Banner Dies.

I love al of the detail that Spellbinders include in their die sets, they even include the tiny flower centres.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards from this event, I hope you will join me then.

Hello Sunshine

I have two more cards to share that were created during the Spellbinders Weekender 2025, these cards feature the Under the Sun Dies.

The first card was designed by Jennifer McGuire, to create the background we lightly misted some Cosmic Sky cardstock with the Blue Shimmer Spray.  We cut the sun from ColorWheel Cardstock and Jennifer showed us how to attach it to the card so that it could spin, the sentiment was cut using the La Dolce Vita Banner Dies.

My second card was designed by Kim Kesti, for the background on this card we used some of the vellum that was included in the kit.  The sun was cut from the ColorWheel Cardstock again, the sentiment is from the La Dolce Vita Banner dies and the little flowers and leaves are from the Citrus Spritz die set.

Never Stop Dreaming

I have another four cards that I created with the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe, I expect you are getting a little bored with these!

I used the cover sheet to create the background on my first card along with a punched border, the focal image and embellishments are all from the sticker sheet.

For this card I used one of the tags, some of the papers and some stickers - I fussy cut the butterfly from one of the papers, there is a whole sheet full of butterflies.

This time I used two more of the tags, some ephemera and more fussy cut butterflies.

For my final card I used more ephemera and some stickers.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.

Deckside Dreams

I am sharing two more cards that I created when I took part in the Spellbinders Weekender 2025, this time we used the Deckside Dreams die set.

The first card was created with Suzanne Hue, a new designer to me - she was very enthusiastic and funny, I will certainly be checking out her YouTube channel.

We cut all of the pieces for the cruise ship from Spellbinders ColorWheel Cardstock that was provided with the Weekender kit, I love the colour combination on this card.  The sentiment is from the Escape the Ordinary Sentiments.

The second card was created with Kim Kesti, Kim hosts the event and I have to say she does a great job.  This time we created the background with the Blue Shimmer Spray that was part of the collection, we spritzed the cardstock and then inked through the Villa Tiles stencil.  The ship was then cut from the ColorWheel Cardstock along with the sentiment from the Dolce Vita Banner Dies.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

Believe in Yourself

I have another four cards created with the Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe collection.

This time all four of my cards feature a bicycle, on this card I have used a topper from the collection along with a sentiment from the sticker sheet and three of the papers.

For this card I created a photo frame using a rectangle die and a rounded corner square die along with stickers from the sticker sheet.

This card features another of the toppers, a fishtail flag cut from one of the Vintage Basics papers and flowers from the cardstock pieces.

On my final card the bicycle is from the cardstock pieces, the sentiment and flowers are from the sticker sheet and I have also added a couple of fishtail banners.  All of my cards are embellished with fussy cut butterflies.

Bye for now, hopefully I will catch you again soon.

Beyond the Door

I recently took part in the Spellbinders Weekender 2025, I love these events - I took part in the 2024 event as well.

This is my favourite card from the event, it was designed by Jennifer McGuire and is a Z-fold design.

We began by partially inking the top left and bottom right corners of the coloured card base using the Villa Tiles Stencil.

We used the Beyond the Door dies to create the arch door and sea view, the flowers and greenery are also part of the die set.  Finally we used the Escape the Ordinary Sentiment stamps to create the heat embossed sentiment strip.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards from this event, I hope you will join me then.

All the Smiles

I have four more cards to share that I have created with the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Collection, all four of these cards contain butterflies.

For this card I cut a strip of butterflies from one of the papers and layered it onto a piece of dotty paper from the collection, I punched the scalloped border - the words are from the sticker sheet.

For my second card I die cut three different butterflies from one of the papers using a nested square die and rounded the corners, I also cut one of the sentiments in the same way.  I popped the four squares up using foam pads and separated them from the patterned papers using velum.

I cut more of the butterflies and a sentiment using the nested square die and rounded the corners again.  This time I popped them up in a row and edged the panel with a punched scalloped border.

For my final card I cut a section from one of the patterned papers and layered it onto a spotty background with a scalloped edge.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.

Pretty Amazing

I am sharing the final three cards that I created at last years Spellbinders Weekender Virtual Retreat, it is the 2025 retreat this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.

All three cards are created using dies by Nichol Spohr along with the Weekender Sentiment stamps.  We created the background on this card by stamping with white ink on black cardstock, I found it quite difficult to get the stamping straight!  Everything else was made using the Gathering Stitches dies.

We created the background for this card the same way as the previous one, we used the Needleworker Tool Kit dies on this one,

This card was created with Michelle Short, she is another of my favourite designers, she mainly creates clean and simple cards - something I find rather difficult.  The background is just coloured cardstock with a little ink around the edges, we used the Gathering Stitches dies again.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated. I apologise for not getting around to visit any of your blogs - I just can't seem to find the time lately!

Sunny Days Ahead!

I have some more cards to share that I have created with the Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe collection - I love this collection, I have created lots of cards with it and I still have lots of the papers and ephemera left.

I have used three of the papers and some of the die cut cardstock pieces, I cut the sentiment from one of the papers and fussy cut the butterfly from another paper.

I have used three more of the papers on this card, some of the cardstock pieces again and the sentiment topper is from another of the papers.

I seem to have used three papers on all of my cards, I have also used another of the large toppers, some cardstock pieces and a fussy cut butterfly on this card.

This time two of the papers are from the Flower Shoppe collection and I cut the frame from one of the papers in the Vintage Basics kit, I also used some more of the cardstock pieces.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

I am sharing two more of the cards that I created at last years Spellbinders Weekender Virtual Retreat - it's nearly time for the 2025 retreat, I'm really looking forward to it.

My first card was created using the Tunnel Scapes Dies by Vicky Papaioannou, we also used the Fly Away Dies and the Weekender Sentiments.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.

Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe

I have been playing with the Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe - this is a beautiful collection, Spellbinders has launched some dies to go with the paper collection, I'm sure I will be sharing some cards using them in the near future.

These cards all share the same basic design, I have just changed up the die cut shape I have used to layer the stickers and die cut cardstock pieces on.

I have used the pink pages from the 12 x 12 Vintage Basics Paper Kit that goes with the collection along with my Hunkydory Scalloped Corner Rectangles die and some of the die cut cardstock pieces.

This time I used the green papers, my Spellbinders Mirrored Arch and some of the stickers.

This time I used the mustard papers and a plain rectangle die, all of the butterflies on my cards have been fussy cut from one of the papers.

For my final card I used the blue papers along with my Spellbinders Essential Arches die.

Sunset in a Glass

These are some more of the cards that I created last year when I took part in the Spellbinders Weekender Virtual Retreat.

This first card was created with Kim Kesti, we used the Lush Leaves Embossing Folder and some inks to create the background - the dies are from the Sunset in a Glass and Tropical Flair collections.

This card is a Mindy Eggen design using the same dies but this time we created a galaxy background with coloured card stock, inks and some white splatters.  This was something quite different for me, I usually use patterned papers - I have to say I enjoyed making the different backgrounds.

The final card is a Vicky Papaioannou design, she is another of my favourite designers.  We used the embossing folder again for the background and added a few splatters, the dies are from the Tropical Flair Die Set.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.
