Let it Snow

I am sharing the final Christmas tag that was published in Cards and Crafts for Christmas, there are 125 Seasonal designs featured and FREE festive papers from Hunkydory, Joanna Sheen and Crafter's Companion so make sure you pick up a copy.

This final tag is a very simple design, I used Clearly Besotted snow flake dies with lots of glitter and the sentiment is from the mitten stamp set.

Pink and Blue Birthday

This is the final mermaid card that I made using the super Mermaid Folk papers that were free with the July edition of Making Cards Magazine.

I was commissioned to make cards using the free images and papers along with just a few basic stash items.


To complete this card I just added some black ribbon, a sentiment from Craftwork Cards and a few pearls.

Keepsakes

It's time for a new challenge at Ooh La La Creations and the theme for the next fortnight is Girlie.

I have used a fabulous image and papers from the Ooh La La Creations The Paula Oakley Collection CD to make my card.


I over printed a piece of the dark purple paper with a French Script paper from Pink Petticoat and used black card stock to layer everything up.


The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the pearls are from my stash.

Stitched Mittens

Daisy Trail

It's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs and the theme for the next fortnight is Anything with Wings.

I chose to use this adorable coloured image called Daisy Trail and some papers from Polkadoodles to make my card.

My 'Things with Wings' are the little ladybird on the image and my Die-namics die cut butterfly.


I added an additional layer to the flowers on the image and fussy cut another flower as an embellishment.  The sentiment is from Polkadoodles.

Another Thank You

I'm sharing another card that I made using the beautiful Lavender Tea collection from Polkadoodles.  I love the stunning colour theme of Lavender, Purple, Turquoise and Green in this collection.



I have made a simple Thank You card,  all I have added is a die cut border, a button, some twine and a computer generated sentiment.

Always & Forever

This is the card that I made for Matt to give his girlfriend, I always find it difficult to make these cards as I am frightened that the recipient might not like them.


I used papers and a topper from the NitWit Always & Forever collection.  I computer generated the sentiment, I tried to find the same font as the one on the topper but couldn't get a perfect match.


I also decorated the inside of the card.

Mint and Blue

I have another of my Mermaid cards that were published in the July edition of Making Cards Magazine to share today

I  was asked to create the Editor's Selection cards using the super Mermaid Folk papers that were free with the magazine and also available on the free CD.  The aim of these cards is to show what can be created using just the free images and papers along with some basic stash items, a bit of a challenge!


I added a little mint card stock to the papers on this card and matted and layered the image a couple of times.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the ribbon from my stash.

London

Now that the September edition of Making Cards Magazine is in the shops I can share my cards that were published in the August edition.

I made three cards using the fabulous Cityscapes collection by Graphic 45, this is the final one and it features London.


All I have used is the Graphic 45 collection and some black card stock.


I inked the edges of everything with distress ink and used foam pads to layer everything up.

Have fun on your Birthday

I was asked to create the Editor's Selection cards for the July edition of Making Cards Magazine. I had to use the super Mermaid Folk papers that were free with the magazine and also available on the free CD.

For this card I rounded the top left and bottom right corners of the image with a corner punch and added a Craft Creations sentiment on top of a die cut flower.

Feelin' Hot! Hot! Hot!

It's time for a new challenge at CD Sunday and the theme for the next fortnight is Hot! Hot! Hot! chosen by Jocelyn.  Don’t forget to use something from a CD somewhere, however small, in the making of your card or project and give the CD credit.

I used a fun decoupage image from Joanna Sheen's House Mouse Decoupage CD, along with papers from Joanna's Royal Horticultural Society Collection CD.


I also added some Bearly Mine Designs Papers and stamped the striped papers.  I inked the edges of the papers and for texture I added some corrugated card stock.


The sentiment is also from the House Mouse CD and the twine is from my stash.

Summer Fun!

It's time for a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and I have chosen Summer Fun as the theme for the next fortnight. This can be any enjoyable summer activity - my boy's would spend every day playing football in the summer when they were young so I decided to use the super Football Andy Card Topper Digi Kit, he is available in the Pink Gem Designs Shop and comes in a variety of colours.


I used the decoupage from the kit along with some papers from my stash.


A selection of numbers and sentiments also come with the kit. I also fussy cut some extra footballs to use as embellishments.

Happy Things

I'm sharing a card that I made using the beautiful Lavender Tea collection from Polkadoodles. This is such a pretty collection full of lovely toppers and papers in the stunning colour theme of Lavender, Purple, Turquoise and Green.


I have made a simple invitation for my Mum to invite a friend for Tea, I have only added a simple ribbon and a couple of decoupage layers as we will be sending it through the post.

Traditional Christmas Tags

I am sharing two of the Christmas tags that were published in Cards and Crafts for Christmas, there are 125 Seasonal designs featured and FREE festive papers from Hunkydory, Joanna Sheen and Crafter's Companion so make sure you pick up a copy.


The poinsettia and pine bough are both Sue Wilson dies and the sentiment is a Britannia die.


The candles are a Joy Craft die, I coated them with 3D Chrystal Lacquer and I used the Sue Wilson pine bough die again.  The sentiment is a wooden one from my stash.

Golfing Dave

The Pink Gem Design team were invited to Guest Design for the mid way post over at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog, the theme is Work, Rest and Play.

I have used the fun Golfing Dave image available in the Pink Gem Designs Shop to make my card.


I coloured Dave with ProMarkers and fussy cut him.  The papers are from NitWit Collections and I cut the banners with my Die-namics Fishtail Flags Die.

Festive Hollybobs

It's time for a new challenge at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog, don't forget that our challenges are now Anything Goes with an optional theme. The DT will be following the theme and the theme for this challenge is Add Texture.

I have used a super image from the  the Work and Play 5 -  Festive Hollybobs collection available in the Polkadoodles Craft Store to create a Christmas card.


I merged one of the adorable Coloured Characters with a tree from the Embellies section to create my little scene - I printed it out several times to create some decoupage before adding lots of glitter.


I used one of the fabulous papers from the collection and added some corrugated card stock for my texture.  The sentiment is also from the collection and the twine is from my stash.
