My Five Favourite Creations of 2014

Not only does Debby host her 'My Favourite Five Christmas Cards' challenge she also hosts 'My Five Favourite Creations of 2014' and I have decided to join the fun again - it was much more difficult to whittle this one down to five but I got there in the end.

This is my selection, they are all cards:

An adorable image from Di's Digi Designs

One of my favourite Woodware Huge Stamps

A sweet image from Nicecrane Designs

Some gorgeous Clearly Besotted stamps

A fabulous kit from Paper Creator's Crafts

There could have been so many more, but I tried to be good and stick to five. I look forward to browsing everyone else's Five Favourite Creations of 2014 so make sure you join the fun and add your post to the Linky over on Debby's blog.

I'm also going to link my selection up over at On a Stampage where Mynn is hosting a Blog Highlight for 2014 Link Party!  Make sure you pop over and check out her fabulous blog

I would just like to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New year, I know that 2014 was rather tough for some of my blog buddies - putting it mildly, I hope that 2015 is a much better year for you all.

Take care.

More old stash

I have made two more simple cards using the 3 Birds kit that I bought from Crafter's Companion a very long time ago and have never used, these two are new baby cards.

This one has been made following the instructions in the kit:

This is the second one inspired by a design I found on Pinterest, a little more simple than the first:

I used an All Occasion die from Joanna Sheen to cut the New Baby sentiment, I cut it three times and layered it up.  I also added some die cut stars and some twine.

We're expecting!

No not me!  The gorgeous mum to be in my Pink Gem image.

This is the card that I have made for the current Less is More Challenge - the theme is Family and I must admit this one had me stumped for a while, then I remembered this fabulous image called Yummy Mummy Emma from Pink Gem Designs.

I coloured her with ProMarkers and die cut two Die-namics Fishtail flags, I added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp to one banner and attached them with a Die'namics die cut Star.  The striped papers are from Pink Petticoat.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

I think the papers are showing their age a bit but I am determined to use of some of  my old stash.

This card has been made following the instructions in the kit:

I added some additional orange card stock and changed the orientation on this one:

I am going to be using a lot more of my old stash in the coming weeks, I really do need to make some room in my craft room.

I would like to enter these cards into the following challenges:

For my wonderful Husband

This is the last Christmas card I will be posting this year, it is the one I made for my husband - the most difficult one that I had to make!

I used  a Tim Holtz Christmas Blueprint 4 stamp, stamping it on some Heartfelt Creations patterned paper and also on plain paper. I coloured the plain version with ProMarkers and added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the berries before fussy cutting it.  My sentiment is a Clearly Besotted stamp on a Die-namics Fishtail flag cut from the patterned paper.

I distressed the papers and sentiment with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and added some twine from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Little Fairies December Challenge - Holly and/or Ivy

Happy Birthday Son

Something a little different from me today - it is my eldest son's 19th Birthday and this is the card I made for him.

I have used papers from the Crafter's Companion Camden Town CD and paper pack along with a topper from the same collection.

The striped paper is from an Ooh La La CD and the sentiment tags are LOTV.  Everything has been seriously distressed, something a little unusual for me as I don't like the mess.

White Christmas

Another CAS Christmas card from me today, a White on White one this time.

I have used the 'merry' die from the Papertrey Ink Wonderful Words Holiday Die Collection,  I cut it out four times and adhered them together, the 'Christmas' is a Clearly Besotted stamp and the Poinsettia was cut out with Sue Wilson Dies.

I apologise for the rubbish photo, I find white on white is virtually impossible to photograph and it was very dark and miserable here today.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Try It On Tuesday Challenge - Winter Whites
Card Mania Challenge 62 - Christmas
Dream Valley Challenge 97 - Christmas
Incy Wincy Designs - Christmas Anything Goes

Wishing you .....

This is a very quick card for the Less is More challenge this week. It's one layer week and the theme is Snow.

I have used a Stamps by Chloe stamp called wishing you a Merry Christmas, I stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with some Platinum Sparkle embossing powder - it is really lovely and sparkly in real life but the photographs don't really show it.

I embossed an oval around the outside of my stamped image to add a little interest.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Less is More Week 202 - One Layer
Fantasy Stampers Challenge 25 - CAS Christmas
Christmas Card Challenge 2  - CAS Design

Thank you so much for visiting me today, I always appreciate you taking the time to pop in.

Football and Xbox

I have made this card for my youngest son to give his brother for his birthday.  It combines two of his pleasures in life - football and Xbox games.

I have used papers from Echo Park and a stamp from the Simon Says Stamp All Boy collection, the sentiment has been computer generated. I used an EK Success punch on the edge of the panel and wanted to add some enamel dots but Laurence thought they were 'girly' so it has been left very CAS.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Dream it Up December Challenge - Quick and/or Cute (Quick)
Moving along with the Times - December Birthdays
Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes Birthday
Creative Card Crew Challenge 76 - Birthday with Sentiment

It's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland and the theme this week is:

Christmas Presents

I have used a gorgeous topper from LOTV, this is another of the older pre-coloured die cut squares, I added gold glitter glue to the stars and 3D Crystal Lacquer to the baubles.

The papers are also from LOTV and the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat.  To embellish I die cut a large star and punched some smaller ones, I then added a coat of gold glitter glue.

A time for giving

This is a very sad post for me, it's the last time I will ever post an inspiration project as part of the Bearly Mine Designs DT.

You probably already know that as a result of the new European VAT Laws coming into effect on 1 January 2015 Donna has made the difficult decision to close Bearly Mine Designs on Wednesday 31 December 2014.  She is currently having a 50% off sale over at the Bearly Mine Designs Store so make sure you pop over and take a look.

Anyway, here is my inspiration project for the Bearly Mine Inspiration and Challenge Blog.

I have used gorgeous papers from the Festive Fun collection to make a Christmas card.

I used my Tattered Lace Starlight Square to frame my LOTV image, this is one of the older pre-coloured die cut squares with Rock Candy distress glitter added to his hat and present.

I created my glittered snowflake by die cutting several Clearly Besotted snowflakes, adding Rock Candy distress glitter and layering them up.  The sentiment tags are LOTV stamps, they have been attached with a seam binding bow.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

City Crafter Challenge 241 - Glittering Snowflakes
Cuttlebug Mania Challenge - Anything Christmas
Crafty Boots Challenge - Merry Christmas
Digi Sketch Challenge - Sketch and/or Waiting for Christmas
