Especially for You

I made this card for my Son to give to his girlfriend, she is eighteen today, we had a look at some cards on Pinterest and came up with a plan - this is nothing whatsoever like the plan, fortunately he liked it!

I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline collection, lots of Walnut Stain Distress Ink, my Tim Holtz Tattered Flower die, Marianne leaf die, Spellbinders Belly Band One die and a sentiment from Pink Petticoat.

The only other additions are a button, twine and ribbon from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Bunny Zoe's Crafts April Challenge - Distress
Hobbybook Designer Challenge - Add a sentiment
It's all about the Vintage Challenge 68 - Anything Goes
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge 64 - Circles & Squares
Creative Knockouts Challenge 36 - Ribbons & Bows
UnstampaBelles May Challenge 35 - A Special Person (My sons girlfriend)
Polka Doodles Week 19 - Something Old/Something New (old papers/new Spellbinders die)
Sentimental Sundays Challenge 205 - Shabby Chic or use Lace/Doily

Thank you for calling today, please leave a comment so that I know you've been and will be able to come and visit you.

Sometimes the best result is when you don't stick to a plan. I don't know what you had in mind, but I do think this card turned out beautiful. I especially like all that wooden pattern which gives this card a great rustic feel, and it looks great with the soft colors you've used!
