Made with Love

I have actually managed to make another card with my Love from Lizi August card kit in August - I have never managed to use a kit in the month that I received it before!

Again everything used to create my card is from the kit with the exception of the Kraft card stock, some buttons tied with twine and some distress ink.

The 'made with love' die is part of the kit, I cut it from both red and gold card stock and inlaid the gold die cut into the negative space on the red card stock before cutting it out with my Sizzix heart die.

I also used my Die-namics Fishtail Flags Die, Tattered Lace Circle Dies and Tim Holtz Snowflake Rosette Die.  The star buttons and twine are from my stash.

I decided to CASE Sarah's gorgeous card and go with the Wedding theme.

I have used a similar layout and colour scheme for my card but decided on a very simple design.

The large hearts were cut using a Sizzix die and the top one was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The small hearts have been cut using a Lawn Fawn die and I have added 3D Crystal Lacquer to them.  The sentiment is a Docrafts Papermania stamp, stamped with Hero Arts Silver Shadow Ink.

This is my second card, this time I have used papers from the My Mind's Eye Madison Avenue collection and as always my inspiration came from Pinterest.

Unfortunately, this is one of those cards that just does not photograph well!  I cut the heart with a Sizzix die and the rolled rose is a Marianne Creatables die.  The lace border is a Fiskars edge punch.

It's time for our mid challenge reminder at the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge, this fortnight our theme is:  Do Not Colour Image hosted by America - this doesn't mean use only black and white, it means you can have colour(s) everywhere on your project, or no colour(s) at all, just DO NOT COLOUR in/on the image itself.  Just make sure you use a House-Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image to join in.

I have used an adorable image from Joanna Sheen's Happy Hoppers Love Bunny stamp collection, I cut out my image with a Spellbinders circle die and placed it on a scalloped circle die cut. The heart papers are from the Joanna Sheen House-Mouse Triple CD and the dotty papers are from Pink Petticoat.

I have used a Pink Petticoat sentiment cut out with a Spellbinders Banner die and I inked it whilst still in the die. The scalloped border is a Clearly Besotted die cut and the pink heart is a Sizzix die cut with 3D Crystal Lacquer added to it.

Then I used my Sizzix Heart Die to make a stencil and inked the heart with Festive Berries Distress Ink, after removing the masks I coloured the elephants with ProMarkers. Birthday Boy

I made this card for a very good friend of my eldest son, he has just turned seventeen, probably one of the most difficult ages to make a boy's card for.  He's not really into sport or anything so no help there then!.

The papers are My Mind's Eye, from the Miss Caroline Dolled Up collection, there are some floral ones in the pack but quite a few of them are suitable for masculine cards.

I used a Sizzix die to cut the label and a Britannia Die to cut the sentiment, the large star is an X-cut die and I punched the smaller stars and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to them.

I have also made a matching tag to go with my card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments Challenge 88 - Any Sentiment
Shopping Our Stash Challenge 116 - For the Boys (papers from stash)
Allsorts Challenge Week 222 - It's all about the sentiment
