Life is Beautiful

I have finally concluded my battle with Dyson and had time to play with my Mintay Farmlife collection.

I have been fighting with Dyson for over two months since my V11 Cordless decided to stop working, it as still under warranty, they now have this remote diagnostic and repair service - well that certainly doesn't work very well!

They wrongly diagnosed the fault, sent the incorrect part, lost the filter from my V11 when it was returned to their workshop, no replacement filters available, sent more replacement bits that did not have a filter, replaced the V11 with a new V15 that had a fault, eventually, replaced V15 with a V11 Outize which actually works but is so heavy I can only clean one room at a time because of my Rheumatoid Arthritis.  I give up, I don't think I will be buying anything from Dyson ever again!

Anyway, this is the card that I created.

I used several of the papers from the Farmlife collection, I distressed the edges for a country feel.  All of the flowers and bits and pieces were fussy cut from the collection and I cut the frame with my Tonic Studios Circles Scribble Frame, the sentiment is from Hunkydory.

Musical Robins

I have another very quick Christmas card to share today, nice and flat so perfect for posting.

I have used a LOTV image and added a sentiment from Pink Petticoat, now trading as The Lovely Studio.

I cut my image out with a Tonic die and mounted it onto a piece of blue tartan paper from an old edition of Making Cards Magazine.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated - I will be back tomorrow with something  a little more elaborate.

Twenty One

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, I've only just managed to scrape in this week - better late than never!

As soon as I saw the theme of  'Alphabet' this idea popped into my head - I don't know why, it's more text than alphabet but I hope it's OK.

It is a friends 21st Birthday next month and as the card will be posted I though that this CAS design would be perfect.

I used my Tonic Number dies to cut the '21' from black card stock and just placed the text, which I computer generated, behind it. The sentiment is a Woodware stamp heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I would like to enter this card into the Less is More Challenge 316 - Alphabet.

Thank you for calling today, your company is much appreciated.

Sugar and Spice

This is another of the projects that I created for Creative Stamping Magazine. I was sent the fun stamp set that is free with the magazine along with some Echo Park Party Time Papers and decided to make a little gift bag.

The sentiment is from the free stamp set, I coloured it with ProMarkers and cut it out with Tonic Oval Layering Die before attaching it to a scalloped oval cut with a Tonic Scalloped Oval Layering Die.

I punched two holes in the top and used some ribbon from my stash to keep it closed.

I also used some Tonic Essential Heated Hues card stock and some dotty papers. The ribbon and twine is from my stash.

I would like to enter this banner into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - the theme is Anything But A Card.

I used a decoupage image from the Docrafts Papermania Mr. Mister Collection, it's die cut decoupage but I needed to trim it quite a lot.  I die cut the sentiment with a Marianne CrafTables die and the numbers were cut with a Tonic Studios die.  I inked through the dies to add some definition.

I also decorated the inside to match.

This is the first of two DT cards from me today, I will be back again shortly with my Di's Digi Designs DT card.

It's time for a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and the theme is Spots and/or Stripes chosen by Sue.

I decided to use one of the Card Topper Digi Kits called Pumpkin Patch to make my card.  I used the decoupage image and teamed it up with some papers from NitWit Collections,

I cut my image out with a Spellbinders die and used Tonic dies to cut the largest and smallest circles, I cut the middle one by hand. The fishtail banners are a Die-namics die and the flowers were fussy cut from the image sheet and decoupaged.  The button and twine are from my stash.

The prize is:

2 Individual Digi images

(NO SETS, PERSONALISED WATERMARK'S OR SENTIMENT SETS)

Dies and Punches
We would like to see at least one die and one punch used on your creations.

I have used a gorgeous image from Kenny K, one of our sponsors this week.

I coloured my image with ProMarkers and added lots of glitter before cutting her out with a scalloped circle die and layering her onto a circle die cut.

The papers and sentiment are from the Simple Stories Cozy Christmas collection, I used a Woodware corner punch to shape the corners of the sentiment.

Finally I added a bow tied with green ribbon from my stash with a punched snowflake on top.  I punched three snowflakes with a tonic punch and glued them together to make it more substantial - the pearl in the middle of the snowflake is from my stash.

Bundle of Love

I'm so excited to announce that I have been invited to join the Pink Gem Design Team - I couldn't believe it when I received an email from Janet, the talented designer and owner of Pink Gem Designs, asking me if I would like to join them.  I have been cutting back on my DT work but this was one offer I simply could not refuse.

I am joining the GEMS team and it is our turn to host the challenge this week, our theme is Something NEW (baby/ stash/home etc) chosen by SUE.

I discovered this adorable Cutie Pie Decoupage image in the Pink Gem Shop and you know me, I can't resist decoupage.

I have teamed the gorgeous image with one of my new stencils and some Pearlescent embossing paste. The hearts are an X-cut die and the circles are a combination of Lil' Inker and Tonic dies, the sentiment tags are LOTV and the ribbon is from my stash.  I also added some Stickles to the outside of the image.

It's a bit difficult to see the decoupage layers, but I promise they are there!  The pink is not quite this bright in real life but I am struggling with the light at the moment, it's either too bright or too dark.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

MilkCoffee Challenge - Celebrations
Sparkle N Sprinkle January Challenge - Anything Goes: use glitter
Really Reasonable Ribbon's Challenge 86 - Pink and Ribbon
Creative Inspirations Challenge 246 - Celebration!
