Facebook Live Class 27 - The Album

Finally, I have managed to complete the Album that I started in the class with Claire, My Creative Spirit  last weekend.

This is the album cover, we made this during the class.

I decided to decorate mine with papers from Graphic 45, the floral paper is from the Artisan Style collection and the striped papers are from the Once Upon a Springtime collection, I decided to make a belly band to keep the Album closed.

This is the Album opened, there are pockets on the inside of both covers and there are six pages that are all the same with a pocket on the outside edge.  I have put Journal/Ephemera cards in the pockets but you could add photographs.

Below you can see the first page opened out, I added a belly band on this and the next page below.

On the next two pages I have added long pockets along the bottom.

These are the final two pages, I added a belly band to these two as well.

Above you can see the centre of the Album, there are four flaps, below you can see the first two opened out, below that you can see all four flaps open.

The photographs are not brilliant, it was a miserable day and I had a little helper when I was taking them, we have two gorgeous black Labradors - Ramsey, the older one, is very laid back and doesn't take much notice of anything.  Jasper, the younger one, is into everything, you only have to move and he is there to see what is going on!

This is them both together, Ramsey is on the left, the one on the right is Jasper.

Thank you for popping in today, please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

Facebook Live Class 27 - The Box

I took part in another great class with Claire, My Creative Spirit at the weekend, you might have seen my previous post HERE, where I shared the chipboard pieces that I had cut in preparation for the class - this is the completed box, we put it together in the first class and then I decorated it with my chosen papers.

This is the box all put together, we added magnets to keep it closed, it looks a bit of a mess doesn't it!  Clare goes through how to put everything together and makes one during the Facebook Live.

This is it opened, we added a little ribbon pull to open it up with and two ribbons to secure the lid when open.

This is my box decorated, I used papers from Graphic 45, the striped papers are from the Once Upon a Springtime collection and the floral papers are from the Artisan Style collection, I have had this collection in my stash for ages and decided it is really time that I actually used it.

This is the box opened up, I lined it with black cardstock, it gets a bit busy if you use patterned papers on the inside as well.  It certainly looks a bit different now doesn't it, I'm working on the album at the moment, they always take a bit longer to decorate, I'll share it as soon as I have finished.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Facebook Live Class 27 - Work in Progress

I will be joining Facebook Live Class 27 run by Clare from my Creative Spirit this weekend, I love these classes, Clare is a fantastic teacher and always comes up with fun new projects for us to create.

This is my preparation for the class, we will be making a Flip Flap Album in a Box, the box and album covers are made from 2mm Chipboard and these are all of the pieces that I have cut ready to craft along.

It doesn't seem possible that this pile of chipboard will end up looking like this super box and album - well hopefully it will.

Clare used the new Graphic 45 Come One, Come All collection to cover hers but I think I might use my Graphic 45 Artisan Style collection to cover mine, I'm saving the Come One, Come All collection for another project.

I will be back later in the week to share my progress.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated - please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

Bird Song Album

This is the Mini Album that I have been working on, I have used the beautiful Graphic 45 Bird Song collection.

This is the front cover, I have used the image from the front cover of the paper pad along with a couple of borders.

This is the inside of the front cover, I have crated a small pocket with a tag and the front of the first page, this has a large pocket with a folder inside.

This photo shows the folder removed from the pocket.

The next two photographs are the back of the first page, with a pocket containing a journal card and the front of the second page.

Both pages are the same design, I have just decorated them differently.

This is the reverse of the second page and the inside of the back cover.

These are the two folders removed from the album.

They open out so that you could attach photographs or journal cards.

Finally, these are the two tags, in case you didn't see my previous post.

Mother Goose

This is the Album that I created using the Graphic 45 Mother Goose collection.  It's quite a large album, it is nearly 8 x 8".  I was inspired by the Graphic 45 Waterfall Folio that is not available in the UK yet, it comes as a complete album, ready to decorate and a video by Annette Green - you can find her YouTube Channel HERE.

Above you can see the front cover, I used part of the cover sheet along with two of the papers, I have the 12 x 12 Collection, the 8 x 8 Paper Pad and a 6 x 6 Patterns and Solids Pad, I already had the two smaller pads in my stash and then Graphic 45 re-released the 12 x 12 Collectors Edition, which of course I just had to have.

Above is the inside of the front cover and the back of the back panel, it is a trifold Album with a pocket page and two waterfall pages.  There is a pocket on the inside of the front cover with a tag stored in it - you can see the tag HERE.  I used my Stitched Slots Pocket Die, it is made by Matty's Crafting Joy and I purchased it from Amazon, there are ephemera/journal cards and a tag in the pockets.

Below you can see the front of the pocket page.

Next is the other side of the pocket page with the photo mat and the first of the waterfall pages, there are six sections in each waterfall and they are secured with a magnet.

Below you can see both of the waterfall pages side by side.

Finally, this is the back cover.  I am really pleased with this Album, if I make another one I think I will make it a little smaller.

Sun Kissed Album

This is the album that I created in the My Creative Spirit FaceBook Live Workshop that I took part in last weekend, the class was run by Clare, as always and we created a box, album and brag book, you can see the box that I created HERE.

Above you can see the album front cover and below is the inside cover and front of the first page, I used the Graphic 45 Sun Kissed collection to decorate all three of my projects.

Below you can see the back of the first page, it has a belly band down the centre and the front of the second page, there are two flaps, they are secured with a magnetic closure.

The next photograph shows the flaps opened out, there is a little tuck spot that can hold a photograph or Ephemera/Journaling card.

This is the centre of the album, there are two flaps that open, you can attach photographs or Ephemera/Journaling cards.

Below you can see the flaps opened.

The next photograph shows the back of the third page and the front of the fourth page, it is a repeat of pages one and two but the opposite way around.

The next photograph shows the flaps open, there is another pocket on the outside edge.

Finally, this is the back of the fourth page and the inside of the back cover, a repeat of the front and first page.

Clare runs a workshop about every three weeks, if you can't attend live or don't manage to keep up they are online so you can go back as often as you like - pop over to My Creative Spirt and check them all out, you can also purchase them after the event and complete them at your leisure.

Enjoy the little things

This is my latest make using the Graphic 45 Bloom collection, it is another album.  This time I have used a Graphic 45 ATC Tag & Pocket Album, it is only 4 x 5 " but it has four sections each with three double sided pages so I will only show you a few of them.

Above is the front cover, I used part of the signature sheet along with a chipboard piece and a fussy cut butterfly.

Above and below you can see some of the pages, these two have ready made pockets with a Graphic 45 ATC size tag in them.

The next page also as a ready made pocket and ATC size tag.

On the next page I made the pocket and added a belly band to the other page.

The next photo is the inside of the front cover and the first page, I added a little pocket so that I could add a Journaling/Ephemera card.

Finally, this is the inside of the back cover, I created another pocket to display a Journaling/Ephemera card.

I enjoyed making this project but there were rather a lot of pages, I seem to run out of steam towards the end!
