Rise & Shine

I watched someone making a Tri-Fold Scalloped Circle card on YouTube, she used a digital cutting file but I thought to myself, "I can make one of those without using an electronic cutting machine".

I had just received my Hunkydory Forever Florals Sunflower collection and decided to use the beautiful circle topper and some of the printed cardstock.

I used a variety of circle and scalloped circle dies to cut the layers from gold mirri and the printed cardstock from the collection.

It took awhile to figure out how to cut the scalloped semi-circles on the front and to cut all of the layers but it was worth it.  I'm sure it was more satisfying to figure it out for myself than letting a machine do it all for me.

Best Teacher

My eldest son starts his new teaching position on Tuesday, he came home for a couple of years and worked locally, but as soon as a position became available at the school that he did the teaching placement element of his University Degree at, he decided to go back and work there.

I used the Echo Park Back to School collection, I have the digital copy of the collection - it is so much more flexible than the physical collection.  I fussy cut all of the little elements and layered them up with foam pads.  I also decorated the inside with more of the colourful papers.

Butterfly Bingo

I have created another card using the Blue Butterfly download from Polly's Paper Studio, it is another of her Dollar Downloads.

This is a smaller card than yesterdays, everything is from the download again with the exception of some cardstock and the embellishments.  I was inspired by one of the sample cards, I have added different flowers and some pearls.

Blue Butterfly

I have created another card using a download from Polly's Paper Studio, it is another Dollar Download, this one is called Blue Butterfly.

There are usually several examples of cards in the Etsy shop, I was inspired by one of them but I used a different card size and different embellishments.  Everything is from the download with the exception of some cardstock and the embellishments.

Holiday Joy

I have another Christmas card to share today, I've created this one to enter into the August Rudolph Days Challenge.

I used my Authentique A Magical Christmas collection again and decided to create a gatefold card for a change.

I used my old Spellbinders Poinsettia dies and some Marianne Design dies to cut the holly leaves and greenery, everything else is from the Authentique collection.

This is the card opened out, I used another topper from the collection on the inside.

I would like to enter this card into the August Rudolph Days Challenge.

Santa's Christmas List

This is another card created with my new Authentique A Magical Christmas collection.

Everything is from the collection again, this time I have used some of the lighter papers, I created the rosette using my Tim Holtz Alterations Paper Rosette Die and cut the little banner from some of the papers.

I added a pocket on the inside and added some little gifts, I think this card might end up in the Nursing Home for one of the residents who doesn't have any family.

Birthday Tag

This is the third and final card that I created with the Butterfly Clock Tag, it is a Dollar download from Polly's Paper Studio, you get three different tags and all of the embellishments.

I fussy cut everything out and inked the edges, the floral papers are another of Polly's Etsy downloads.  I added some dark brown cardstock and cut the fishtail flag from a paper from my stash, the sentiment is also from my stash.

Santa's Workshop

I managed to pick up the new Authentique Christmas Collection - A Magical Christmas, it is a very traditional collection with lots of beautiful papers and super Santa themed toppers.

I decided to create an easel card, just for a change.  Everything is from the collection except some red and green cardstock and Hunkydory Diamond Sparkles.  I used some very old Spellbinders dies to cut the poinsettias and Sue Wilson die for the greenery.

Especially for You

I have created another card using a download from Polly's Paper Studio, she has an Etsy Shop and the Butterfly Clock Tag is a Dollar download, you get three tags and all of the embellishments.

I fussy cut all of the elements and layered up the tag, I added some papers that are another of her Etsy downloads. I inked the edges of everything and used foam pads to add dimension to the tag and the clock. I cut some of the flowers from another of the papers and some from cream cardstock - I also added a scruffy twine bow.

Pink Stilleto Shoes

I created this card for my son to give his brother's girlfriend, she is quite girly and always looks nice so I thought my Authentique Flawless Collection would be perfect.

The papers and topper are from the collection, I cut the flowers from some of the papers and some pink cardstock, the doily and twine are from my stash.  Quite a simple card but I like how it turned out, I hope Hannah liked it.

Happy Birthday to You

I have finally managed to get back into my craft room now that it has cooled down a bit, my craft room is south facing and it was so hot I couldn't craft, even with a fan, during the recent heat wave.

I created this Birthday card using the Authentique Poised Collection, I just love the sunny yellows, I apologise for the photographs, it was such a miserable day today when I took them!

I have created another Easel Card, there is a pocket on the front with room for a tag.

Inside there is another pocket with a small card containing a gift card. I created the flowers with my Tattered Lace Flower Forming dies and the leaves are a die that came with a card kit.

Vintage Christmas

This is the second Christmas card that I have created with my Simple Stories Simple Vintage Christmas Collection.

As with my previous card, everything I have used is from the collection, this time the sentiment is from the sticker sheet, I added a piece of cardstock behind it so that I could pop it up on some foam pads.

Vintage Santa

I thought as it is so hot I would create some Christmas cards - it didn't do much to cool me down though!

I used my Simple Stories Simple Vintage Christmas Collection, everything is from the collection, I just added some red card stock.  I used a very old Spellbinders die to create the Poinsetties and added Hunkydory Gems to the centres, the sentiment is from the Bits & Pieces Die Cuts.

It is so hot here at the moment, I am finding it difficult to craft as my craft room is south facing - lovely in the winter but not so good when it is this hot!

You are an Inspiration

This is another card that I have created with my A Summer Garden Papers and Toppers from The Paper Boutique, this is the last one for a while.
I decided to ink the edges of the papers and topper for this one, I added some flowers cut using my Tattered Lace Flower Forming dies, they are not quite so bright in real life!  The sentiment is from the collection and I added some vintage buttons threaded with twine.

More Stamperia Atelier

I have nearly used all of my Stamperia Atelier collection, I decided to create a centre step card for a change - I have lots of card blanks from when I was on the Crafter's Companion Design Team and really need to get on and use them all up.

I inked the edges of everything and created a little spool and pack of vintage buttons, I cut the dress form with an old Spellbinders die and fussy cut the tag from the paper collection.  It is going to be really difficult to resist buying another collection to replace this one, I love it so much!

Many Happy Returns

I decided to have a play with one of my Paper Boutique Collections, I chose the A Summer Garden Papers and Toppers and created another easel card.

This is such a pretty collection, I love the pastel blues and added some pale blue cardstock, the small sentiment is part of the topper collection and I cut the circular sentiment on the base from one of the circular toppers.

I decorated all of the panels on the base of the card and created a little pocket, it acts as the stopper as well as holding a small card that I placed a gift card in and added my message.

This is the small card that holds the gift card and message.

Butterfly Post Card

This is another card that I have created with my Stamperia Atelier Collection, I decided to create another easel card, I am rather enjoying making them at the moment.

I haven't got much of the collection left at now, I used two of the gorgeous papers along with a Post Card from one of the Cut-Apart Sheets - I had to cut it down a little. I cut the flowers from the papers and used a Crafter's Companion Sentiment die and stamp set. I added a little tag in the pocket that I created in the base, I always find it difficult to know where to write a message on an easel card and thought that this was a good way solve that problem.
