SSS Card Kit - September 2012

Yes, my blog title is correct, I used a Simon Says Stamp card kit from September 2012 to create this card.  I have quite a few card kits from 2012 and 2013 and I am determined to use them - to be honest, I need the space in my craft room.

I used the patterned papers and a sheet of cardstock from the card kit, I cut the banners with my Die-namics Fishtail Flag dies and used my Tim Holtz rosette die to create the rosette, I just made it a little smaller.  I added a sentiment from Lisa Horton along with a button and some twine.

Vintage Boy

This card was created using another Studio Light Collection, I'm not sure which one this is from unfortunately - it's quite an old one I think.

I love the vintage image and bunny, they are so cute.  I inked the edges of everything, layered them up using foam pads and added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the buttons.  The sentiment stamp is an old one from Simon Says Stamp.

With all of my Heart

Today I am sharing another card that I have created with my Simon Says Stamp June 2012 Card Kit, I will be sharing a Christmas card tomorrow for those of you that are getting bored with these.

I have used a selection of the papers again along with some Milk coloured card stock.  The sentiment is also from the kit, I have just added a button, some ribbon and twine from my stash.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave.

Charming

I have been playing with some of my old stash - very old stash, namely the Simon Says Stamp June 2012 Card Kit.

All of the papers are from the kit, I inked the edges of the papers and used my Crafter's Companion Stitch Edge Heart dies to cut out the hearts.  I used an old Woodware punch to create the little lace border, the sentiment stamp is from the kit and the button and twine are from my stash.

Birthday Wishes

Back to normal today after the excitement of the Bugaboo Stamps 8th Birthday Bash, I do like to join in if I can.  This is another card that I have created with the January 2014 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.

I used an old Spellbinders die to create the borders and used my favourite Die-namics Fishtail Flags die as well.

I created the rosette with another of my older dies, the Tim Holtz Paper Rosette die.

Birthday Buttons

This is another card using one of my old Simon Says Stamp Card Kits, this time I have used the one from January 2013.

A simple design, I just loved the colours of the papers and decided not to cover them up.

I added some ribbon and buttons from my stash.

I am hoping to go to the Cinema with hubby tonight to see Darkest Hour, there are lots of good films at the moment - why do they always seem to come together!

Love you sew much

I am back on my mission to use some of my older card kits again, this card uses the January 2014 Simon Says Stamp kit.

This is a love themed kit and there are some really pretty papers included.

I am quite enjoying revisiting these older kits and it feels good to be using up some of my old stash!

Make a Wish

I have another card using the latest Craftwork Cards Stamp Club Kit to share today.

I stamped the three cake layers in pink this time and over-stamped the pattern in brown - the pattern is also part of the stamp set along with the cake stand.

The sentiment banner is a stamp from Simon Say Stamp and the papers are from Bearly Mine Designs, sadly no longer trading.

I went to see The Greatest Showman with my son last night, it is very different from the type of film I would normally watch but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it if you are thinking about going.

Christmas Gifts

This is the card that I have created for my Mother-in-Law, I have to admit that it is not one of my favourite cards but I know that she will like it.

I used an image from a Hunkydory Little Book and the papers and tags are from an older Hunkydory Christmas collection.  The Christmas sentiment is a Britannia die from Joanna Sheen and the Mum is a Simon Says Stamp die.

From Morning 'til Night

This is the third card that I created with my Simon Says Stamp October 2012 Card Kit, I used two of the beautiful papers and some Kraft card stock.

I cut the scalloped border with a Clearly Besotted die and the flower was cut using a Marianne Collectables die.

The sentiment is a very old Hot Off The Press stamp and the button and twine are from my stash.

I will be getting out my November 2012 kit next, I am determined to use these kits up.

Special Wishes

This is another card that I have created with my Simon Says Stamp October 2012 Card Kit.  Everything comes from the kit with the exception of the sentiment stamp.

The bottom panel is actually from the front cover of the paper pad.  I stamped the flower twice on a plain blue paper from the pad and again on pale brown card stock - I wanted to cut the centre out and layer it up.

The sentiment stamp is from Craftwork Cards again.

Birthday Wishes

I have finally had a play with my Simon Says Stamp October 2012 Card Kit.  Yes, you did read that correctly - the October 2012 kit, I have a couple of years worth of these kits and most of them have not been touched.  I have decided to start working my way through them.

I really like these papers and the colours, the card stock is also part of the kit.  I stamped the flower onto the card stock and fussy cut it.

I cut the little scalloped border with a Clearly Besotted die and the sentiment is a Craftwork Cards stamp.

The gingham background is from Bearly Mine Designs and the sentiment is from Pink Petticoat, now trading as The Lovely Studio.

Christmas Skates

This is the third month in a row that I have been invited to join the Quick Cards Made Easy Reader Design Team, this time I was sent the lovely Christmas themed bonus papers to create a card.

My card will be on the Quick Cards Facebook page and should be in the digital edition of the magazine - last months card was in the magazine but I don't know about this one as I haven't picked up a copy yet.

I used two of the papers and one of the sentiment toppers - I love the non traditional colours in this collection.

I die cut some snowflakes and added some ribbon and gems from my stash.

It's a Stitch Up

Sadly this is going to be my final challenge with Winter Wonderland - we have my Mum moving in with us soon and my crafting time will be considerably reduced. I hope to still make lots of cards but I don't want the pressure of DT deadlines. I would like to say a huge thank you to the Winter Wonderland team for letting me play along with them and for their support and friendship.

 The theme this week is:

It's a Stitch Up (Real or Faux Stitching)

Don't forget you have to make a Christmas card to enter our challenge,

I have used the fabulous 'The Most Adorable Snowmen' image from The Paper Shelter who are our sponsor this week.

I cut my pre-coloured image out with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square die (that is my stitched element) and used the papers that come with the image.

The sentiment is from my stash and the snowflake is two Simon Says Stamp Snowflake die cuts glittered and layered up.

This week we are sponsored by:

The Paper Shelter who are offering the winner a $15 gift certificate.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Inspiration Destination Challenge 29 - Always Anything Goes
Natalie and Amy's Challenge 31 - Frame It!

No not me!  The gorgeous mum to be in my Pink Gem image.

This is the card that I have made for the current Less is More Challenge - the theme is Family and I must admit this one had me stumped for a while, then I remembered this fabulous image called Yummy Mummy Emma from Pink Gem Designs.

I coloured her with ProMarkers and die cut two Die-namics Fishtail flags, I added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp to one banner and attached them with a Die'namics die cut Star.  The striped papers are from Pink Petticoat.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
