Jocasta Planner/Photo Book

This is the Planner/Photo book that I created in the recent Facebook Live class with Clare Charvill - My Creative Spirit, it goes with the Recipe Box that I shared HERE.

This is the cover, I have used the Graphic 45 Farmhouse collection, the same as the Recipe Box, I used several of the papers, I did some paper tearing and added a journal card and some fussy cut flowers.

This is the inside, there is a large pocket on the inside of the front cover, there are seven dividers in the planner, I used two different papers to decorate mine, this is the first one.

This is the second divider design, I have not really decided how I'm going to use my planner, I might use it as a regular planner or perhaps a meal planner so I have not labelled the dividers yet.

I have also created an insert that has two pockets, a small pocket behind the journal card

There is another larger pocket on the inside

The inside back cover is the same as the front just in reverse so I didn't think you would like to see yet another photo of that.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Jocasta Recipe Box

I have taken part in another of Clare Charvill's - My Creative Spirit classes, this time we have created a Recipe/Photo box and a Planner/Photo Book, this is my completed Recipe Box.

There are two classes one on a Friday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm and another on the Saturday from 6 pm until we have covered everything, this one is usually about 2 hrs as well.  In the first of the classes we created the box, Clare provides a comprehensive cutting guide in advance, we then put the box together in the class.

The box has a hook lock closure and metal feet, it opens up and has a little ledge to place your recipe card on when you are using it. I have decorated my box with Graphic 45 Farmhouse papers, it is all ready for some dividers and recipe cards.

Thank you for popping in today, your company is much appreciated.

The Milano Memory Box

This is what I have been working on over the weekend, I took part in an Online Craft Retreat with Clare from My Creative Spirit, we have been making a Memory Box, Album and Photo Box.

This is the Memory Box, it is quite large, it's 12" tall, 11" wide and just over 6" deep and has a recessed window in the front.  I used the Graphic 45 Come One, Come All collection to decorate mine.

It has a lid that opens and a drop down front, both are secured with ribbon.  On the inside there is a divider that creates a section to store the Album and another to store the Photo Box.

There is also a small drawer in the bottom and it stands on wooden feet.

Facebook Live Class 27 - The Album

Finally, I have managed to complete the Album that I started in the class with Claire, My Creative Spirit  last weekend.

This is the album cover, we made this during the class.

I decided to decorate mine with papers from Graphic 45, the floral paper is from the Artisan Style collection and the striped papers are from the Once Upon a Springtime collection, I decided to make a belly band to keep the Album closed.

This is the Album opened, there are pockets on the inside of both covers and there are six pages that are all the same with a pocket on the outside edge.  I have put Journal/Ephemera cards in the pockets but you could add photographs.

Below you can see the first page opened out, I added a belly band on this and the next page below.

On the next two pages I have added long pockets along the bottom.

These are the final two pages, I added a belly band to these two as well.

Above you can see the centre of the Album, there are four flaps, below you can see the first two opened out, below that you can see all four flaps open.

The photographs are not brilliant, it was a miserable day and I had a little helper when I was taking them, we have two gorgeous black Labradors - Ramsey, the older one, is very laid back and doesn't take much notice of anything.  Jasper, the younger one, is into everything, you only have to move and he is there to see what is going on!

This is them both together, Ramsey is on the left, the one on the right is Jasper.

Facebook Live Class 27 - The Box

I took part in another great class with Claire, My Creative Spirit at the weekend, you might have seen my previous post HERE, where I shared the chipboard pieces that I had cut in preparation for the class - this is the completed box, we put it together in the first class and then I decorated it with my chosen papers.

This is the box all put together, we added magnets to keep it closed, it looks a bit of a mess doesn't it!  Clare goes through how to put everything together and makes one during the Facebook Live.

This is it opened, we added a little ribbon pull to open it up with and two ribbons to secure the lid when open.

This is my box decorated, I used papers from Graphic 45, the striped papers are from the Once Upon a Springtime collection and the floral papers are from the Artisan Style collection, I have had this collection in my stash for ages and decided it is really time that I actually used it.

This is the box opened up, I lined it with black cardstock, it gets a bit busy if you use patterned papers on the inside as well.  It certainly looks a bit different now doesn't it, I'm working on the album at the moment, they always take a bit longer to decorate, I'll share it as soon as I have finished.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Facebook Live Class 27 - Work in Progress

I will be joining Facebook Live Class 27 run by Clare from my Creative Spirit this weekend, I love these classes, Clare is a fantastic teacher and always comes up with fun new projects for us to create.

This is my preparation for the class, we will be making a Flip Flap Album in a Box, the box and album covers are made from 2mm Chipboard and these are all of the pieces that I have cut ready to craft along.

It doesn't seem possible that this pile of chipboard will end up looking like this super box and album - well hopefully it will.

Clare used the new Graphic 45 Come One, Come All collection to cover hers but I think I might use my Graphic 45 Artisan Style collection to cover mine, I'm saving the Come One, Come All collection for another project.

I will be back later in the week to share my progress.

Mini Monday

I'm back!  Sorry I haven't been around much recently - I've been a bit under the weather but hopefully I'm OK now.

It's time for another instalment in my Mini Monday series, this week I have created a very small mini album, it measures just over three and a half inches square - I was inspired by a YouTube video by Decor8yourlife.

I used a Graphic 45 Large Black Tag for the cover along with a little black card stock for the pages.  The album is decorated with one sheet of paper from my Graphic 45 Imagine collection, not much stash used up this time then!

It s a very simple little album, above you can see the album open, there are three zig zag style pages and below you can see them opened out, two of the pages have small pockets.

This is the reverse of the pages, I popped some of the small toppers from the Cut-Apart sheet in the pockets and fussy cut some bits and bobs to embellish.

Bonjour

I have created another mini album with my Graphic 45 French Country collection, this one is 6 inches square.  The album design comes from a video on Clare from My Creative Spirit's YouTube Channel, I made mine a bit bigger than hers and I have fewer pages.

Above you can see the front cover, I fussy cut the Sun Flower topper and popped it up on foam pads for dimension.

Below is the inside front cover and the first page, the pages alternate in size and they all have a pocket with a photo mat inside.  The front cover has a belly band with a small folder in it.

This is the photo mat, I have covered them with all with different coloured solid paper.

Next is the back of the first page and the front of the second page, it has another belly band with a journal card.

This is the back of the second page with a small pocket that has a folder in it.  I left the front of the third page blank, you can see the photo mat in the large pocket.

This is the back of the third page and the front of the final page, it has another belly band with a tag behind it.

Finally the back of the last page and the inside of the back cover, it has a pocket into which I have placed another couple of tags.

Mini Monday

I have been struggling to decide what to create lately, having too much stash doesn't help but I am trying to use it up - might take a while though!  I thought perhaps if I had a theme it might help so I've decided to start with 'Mini Monday', I will be sharing something small each week - a tag, ATC, small card etc., it's a good way to use up some scraps as well.

This week I'm sharing a couple of small tags, I used my Graphic 45 ATC tag die to cut them both and decorated them with papers from the Graphic 45 Bird Watcher collection.

For this one I used several small scraps of paper along with a small topper from the 8 x 8 collection, I fussy cut some flowers from one of the papers and inked the edges of everything, to finish I added some twine and a small charm.

For the second one I used my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies to cut several fishtail flags, I layered them up and added a sentiment that I die cut from one of the papers along with a fussy cut bird and some fussy cut flowers. To finish this one I added some grosgrain ribbon secured with a twine bow.

I quite enjoyed making these, it's surprising just how much you can fit on a small tag.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Sun Hats and Sunflowers

I have at long last completed my Flip Book, I followed a tutorial by Gloria Stengel to create the flip book base, I just added a few extra pockets to mine.  I used a combination of Graphic 45's French Country Collection and Place in Time Collection to decorate it.

This is the front cover, it mainly uses papers from the Place in Time collection, the sunflowers are from the French Country collection - the book is secured with a ribbon.

Below the album is opened to show the inside front cover with a folder in the pocket and the back page closed.

Next you can see the back page opened to reveal a matching pocket with another folder inside - you can find photographs of both folders and the tags that are also in the album HERE.  The centre page has a belly band, I have placed a journal card behind it.

You open the centre page to the left and there is a pocket with two tags in it along with another page with a belly band and a journal card.

You open this page to the right to reveal another page with a pocket and journal card.  In the centre are two half pages.

The two half pages open to reveal another pocket with a journal card and a larger tag inside.

These projects are quite time consuming but fun to create and they do use quite a bit of paper, so at least I am using up some of my stash!
