Make Pretty Things

This is the final card that I have created (so far) with the Echo Park I'd Rather be Crafting collection.

For this card I used four of the patterned papers and two of the solid papers from the collection.

The sentiment is from the Mama Elephant Words Defined Stamp Set and to embellish I added three pieces of hand made card candi.

Thank you for popping in today, your company is much appreciated - please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

Scandinavian Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland and the theme this week is:

Scandinavian Style
(hearts, reindeer, snowflakes, red and white)

I have used a Papermania topper from their Classic Christmas paper pack and papers from the Christmas in the Country paper pack.

.
I have added a sentiment that I found in my stash layered onto some Core'dinations card stock, I punched the corners and added little hearts cut using a Mama Elephant die, I also added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to the hearts.

Finally ...

Finally, I managed to make a card for my son to give to his girlfriend that he liked - he really is getting fussy in his old age!

He kept on that he wanted a red bow - well I don't often do bows, I'm not very good at them, but I had a go and this is the resulting card.  The hearts are from the Clearly Besotted 'Love Hearts' stamp and die set and the sentiment is from the Mama Elephant 'Confetti' stamp set.  I dry embossed some lines and mounted everything onto red card stock.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Alphabet Challenge - A for Always and Forever
Totally Papercrafts Challenge 206 - Valentine/Love
The Crafter's Cafe Challenge 50 - Must Have Hearts
Brown Sugar Challenge 81 - Use a Die Cut or Punch

Thank you so much for joining me today, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that takes the time to visit my blog and leave a comment.

Valentine Blueprint

This is the valentine card that I made for my husband, he's not a cute and cuddly sort of guy - I suppose it wouldn't really do much for his image as he teaches Martial Arts and is a black belt in both Taekwondo and Korean Kickboxing, so I broke out the Tim Holtz Valentine Blueprint collection.

I love Tim's Blueprint images, I've collected quite a few, so you could be seeing a lot more cards made with them in the future.

The base papers are from the Bearly Mine Designs Vintage Fantasy collection, I used distress inks and a Creative Expressions mask to create the large spots and stamped the Cupid image in one corner.  I stamped the '14' image and added some colour with ProMarkers.

Some left over hearts from when I was trying to make a card for my eldest to give his girlfriend, a circular stamp from the Mama Elephant 'Confetti' collection and a die cut corner have been added.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - We Love Stamps
Creative Knockouts Challenge 24 - Spots and Dots
Crafting by Designs - Anything for Love
Divas by Design - With Love
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge 203 - Love/Valentine Theme
The Male Room - Valentine
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 164 - Monochrome
The Paper Shelter Challenge 145 - Be My Valentine

I hope everyone has a fabulous Valentines Day, thank you so much for visiting me today, I always appreciate you taking the time to pop in.

To you from me ...

I have been trying to make a valentine card for my son to give to his girlfriend but nothing seems to be going very well at the moment.

This is one of the rejected ones, I think it is just a little bit CAS for him!

I cut the heart frames using my Sizzix Framelits Hearts Die Set and made a cut in one so that I could interlink them.  The sentiment is from the Confetti set by Mama Elephant.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

CASology Week 82 - BOLD
Cuttlebug Mania Challenge - A Touch of Red
Addicted to CAS Challenge 31 - LOVE
Crafty Calendar February Challenge - Love is all around!
Love to Create Challenge 102 - Red and/or Pink

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog and leave a comment, your company is much appreciated..
