Easter Bunny

I have something a little different to share today, I have had this MDF Bunny in my stash for ages and decided that it was about time I did something with it.

I used papers from my Authentique Springtime collection to cover the bunny and fussy cut the eggs from one of the toppers in the Authentique Cottontail collection.  The little bow is an old Die-namics die, cut from another of the Springtime papers.  I added some additional colour to a couple of the eggs and created some grass with a Lawn Fawn die.

Christmas Advent

I made another of my Christmas Advent calendars using the Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box die and Celebration Countdown die, this one was for my Mother-in-Law..

I used some old Christmas papers from my stash, I have lost the front cover so unfortunately I don't know the make.  They are quite easy to make but rather time consuming, the little bows take the longest.  I heat embossed the scalloped circle and the numbers and then die cut them all.  I filled it with a selection of chocolates and I'm pleased to say my Mother-in-Law loved it.

Birthday Stars

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, it's the dreaded one layer week and the theme is Stars.

I used four stamp sets to create this simple card!  The sentiment is from Creative Expressions, the large stars are from the Clearly Besotted Superstar stamp set, the smallest solid stars are from the Clearly Besotted Many Thanks stamp set and the larger solid stars are from the Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm stamp set.

I used Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink - these inks stamp up beautifully.

Another Tutorial

If you are a regular visitor to my blog you might remember a series of Z-fold cards that I created for Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine.

As part of the commission I created two step by step tutorials, I have already shared the beginner design HERE - this is the more advanced design.

This is the finished card.

Score a 30 x 21 cm piece of blue card stock at 7.5 cm and 15 cm. Trim a 6cm strip from the bottom of the card stock. Trim the larger piece of card stock diagonally from a point 9.5 cm from the bottom left corner to the top right corner.

Valley fold both pieces of card stock along the 15 cm score line and mountain fold along the 7.5 cm score line. Cover the front panels with patterned paper leaving a narrow border.

Adhere the smaller panel to the front of the card to form the Z shape.

Cut two 12.3 x 1.5 cm strips of blue card stock and score at 2.5 cm from each edge, fold along the score lines.

Attach to the inside of the box that has been formed in the centre of the card.

Repeat with the second strip of card stock to form a pop up box.

Attach a selection of balloons and numbers to the blue tabs using acetate and decorate the front panels of the card as required.

I hope this step by step is helpful to those of you that haven't created a Z-fold card yet.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.

21st Birthday Wishes

This is the card that I made for my youngest son to give Hannah for her Birthday, we went out for a lovely meal with her and her family to celebrate on Saturday night .

I used papers from the Dovecraft Back to Basics Baby Steps collection - it is a baby collection but there are several pretty papers that are suitable for all occasions.

I paper pieced my Woodware Huge stamp and cut the Hannah with Lawn Fawn dies, I cut the name from grey card stock and then again with from yellow so that I could inlay them.

Party Time

This is the final Z-fold card that I created for this months Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine. I was commission to produce a Masterclass on making Z-fold cards using the Trimcraft Make a Wish paper pad.

The balloons, numbers and birthday cake are all from the Crafter’s Companion Sara Davies Birthday Party Signature Collection. The letters are from the Lawn Fawn Finley’s ABCs Die collection.

This photograph shows the inside of the card ready to have the elements attached.

I really enjoyed making these cards, it was quite a challenge to create six especially as it's not a style that I normally make.

Caroling Snowmen

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties and the theme this month is Favourite Festive Digi.

I used the fun  Caroling Snowman image from our sponsor Paper Nest Dolls to create my card.

My inspiration came from a card I saw on Pinterest, of course I can't find it again now!  I coloured my snowman family with a combination of ProMarkers and Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens before cutting them out with my Sue Wilson Pierced Ovals dies.

I printed some Pink Petticoat snowflake papers onto Kraft card stock and stamped a Lawn Fawn Sentiment.  The snowflake embellishments are a Clearly Besotted Snowflake die.

Make sure you pop over to the Christmas with the Cuties challenge blog and take a look at the Design Team inspiration, we would love for you to join us for our Favourite Festive Digi challenge.
