Party Time

I have created this card for the latest Less is More Challenge - it is the dreaded one layer week and the theme is Cute.

My image is from Bugaboo and I have used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens to colour it.

The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat, now trading as the Lovely Studio and I have added sparkle pen to the balloons and 3D Crystal Lacquer to the dots on his hat and the candle.

Birthday Stars

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, it's the dreaded one layer week and the theme is Stars.

I used four stamp sets to create this simple card!  The sentiment is from Creative Expressions, the large stars are from the Clearly Besotted Superstar stamp set, the smallest solid stars are from the Clearly Besotted Many Thanks stamp set and the larger solid stars are from the Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm stamp set.

I used Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink - these inks stamp up beautifully.

I have gone completely digital again, I copied my image into word and added a Pink Petticoat sentiment.

The doodled border was also created in Word.

Birthday Banner

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, it's the dreaded one layer week and the theme is Curve.  I didn't manage to join in last week because hubby treated me to a few days away for an early Birthday treat.

I have created a completely digital card, I used papers from NitWit Collections to create the banner using Word, the bows and tiny buttons are also from the NitWit Collection - I added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the buttons.

The sentiment is from The Lovely Studio (formerly Pink Petticoat).

Leafy Accents

This is my second card for this weeks Less is More Challenge - it's one layer card week and the theme is Leaves.

I used a Clearly Besotted stamp to create this card.  I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and then applied distress ink.

I tried to create a neat edge but messed it up so I cut it out with my Tattered Lace Peach Sorbet Square die and then cut a panel from my card front using the same die so that I could inlay my image.  The sentiment is a Craftwork Cards stamp.

Leaf Print

It's one layer week over at Less is More and when I saw that the theme is Leaves I decided to do something that I used to do with my children when they were small - Leaf Printing.

I picked a leaf whilst out for a walk and inked it up with two different green distress inks, I then placed it on a card base, placed a piece of scrap paper on top and pressed it down firmly.

To complete my really CAS card I just added a Craftwork Cards stamped sentiment.

Opposites Attract

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge, it's the dreaded one layer week and the theme is Opposites Attract.

I googled opposites and this idea popped up, google is a wonderful resource - I don't know how we ever managed without it!

I printed a black rectangle along with the words onto white card stock and then folded it to create my card blank, I then printed another black and white panel.  I die cut a heart from the card blank and cut another one from the other black and white panel turning the die so that the black was on the opposite side.

I then used the inlaid die cut technique and inserted the second heart into the cut out.

Life is too short ...

I have made this card for the current challenge at Less is More, the theme is Favourite Drink/Beverage and it is one layer week.

I haven't managed to enter for some time but when I saw the theme I remembered this fabulous coffee cup digi image on my Polkadoodles Work and Play 12 CD and thought it was perfect.  I coloured my image with Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens and added a sentiment that is also from the CD.  I have also created an insert for my card by resizing the coffee cup and adding another sentiment.
