Winter Wonderland

I decided that I would like to join in with the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge this week and the theme is  - A Christmas Card for the Boys - a nice easy one then!

I had a good hunt though all of my Lili of the Valley stash and decided to use this fab die cut topper called Boy Sledging and teamed it up with the fab new Christmas papers from Bearly Mine Designs - Christmas Traditions.

I followed the sketch from this weeks Sketch Saturday and as it is a card for a boy I have kept things quite simple.  I layered the image onto red card stock and then white and all of the papers have been layered onto the white card stock.

I used my Martha Stewart Halloween Border punch - it's supposed to be goo but I think it looks quite like melting snow - across the centre and just added some buttons and stickles (which of course don't show up in the photographs) to embellish.  The sentiment is from the LOTV Simply Sophisticated set, stamped with fired brick distress ink.

I have decorated the inside of my card following the same layout as the front.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - A Christmas Card for the Boys

Autumn Colours

It wasn't my turn to make a card for the Whoopsi Daisy Challenge this week but I couldn't resist colouring up this gorgeous image from sheet 184 and making a card.

The challenge this week is RIBBONS AND/OR LACE, we are also introducing a new element to the challenge - ANYTHING GOES WITH A WHOOPSI DAISY IMAGE - so if you use a WHOOPSI DAISY IMAGE you can enter any style of card or project you like - you don't have to follow the theme - so come on get out your WHOOPSI DAISY images and show us what you can do - there is usually a free image HERE.

I think the weather is getting quite autumnal at the moment, the days are lovely and sunny but the evenings are drawing in and the mornings are quite chilly first thing so I decided to make my card using autumn colours:

I have coloured my image with ProMarkers and the papers are My Mind's Eye - Bloom & Grow.  I used a Martha Stewart scalloped edge punch to add the scalloped detail at the bottom of my card and also the central border.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front:

Card Recipe:

Papers:  My Mind's Eye - Bloom & Grow
Card Stock:  Dies to Die For - Kraft
Tools:  Spellbinders - Large Scalloped Oval, Martha Stewart - Edge Punch
Docrafts - Leaf Punch
Embellishments:  ribbon, flowers, string and pearls from stash
Sentiment:  Docrafts - Wellington Collection

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Thank you so much for visiting me today, please leave a comment so that I know you have called.

Birthday Shopping

The DT members of Crafting for all Seasons were invited to Guest Design for the Bugaboo Catch the Bug Challenge and this week it was my turn. Unfortunately for some reason they decided not to use my card, a bit rude I think, they didn't even bother to say anything, but I had been forewarned by someone else that they did this too and checked the challenge blog before I published.  I have decided to publish my card anyway as I had planned to enter it into some challenges.

I have used the image Girlz Shop and the design inspiration came from one of my many magazines, I have been going through them all recently trying to find some inspiration.

I have coloured my image with ProMarkers and the papers are Dovecraft - Back to Basics III.  The inner scalloped circle and plain circle have been cut with Spellbinders dies and the scalloped edge on the central border was created with one of my Martha Stewart edge punches.  The flowers are from my stash, the leaves are a Punch Bunch punch and the sentiment is computer generated.

I have decorated the inside of my care as well:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge 207 - Flowers
LEJ Designs Challenge 18 - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday's Challenge 83 - Anything Goes

This is my final sketch:

Thanks!

Good morning, I hope everyone is well and enjoying the new week. We have a new challenge for you at Bearly Mine Designs and this week the theme is - Shapes - we would like you to make a shaped card.

This is the card I have made using gorgeous papers from the Bearly Mine Designs Simply Dots and Spring Delights sets.

This is quite a different card for me, I rarely make a card without an image but I got this idea from Mandy's Blog - A LITTLE SPACE OF MY OWN - go and check out her work, she has some stunning projects on her blog.

I made the flower by printing some of the flower embellishments from my Crafter's Companion Strawberry Kisses CD on to the back of my Bearly Mine paper and then cutting them out, the border across the middle is a Martha Stewart punch and the little butterfly was a gift from Tracy at Dies to Die For - she always puts lots of lovely die cuts in with your order.
