A Little Reminder ...

Where is everyone, I can't believe how quiet it is out there, I can only assume you are all away on your holidays!

Come on it's my last challenge over at Willow Sketchie this week and at the time of posting this card there are only twelve entries.  It's been a year since I joined their Design time and I've decided it's time to step down and give someone else a chance to work with Sharon's gorgeous Willow Designs images.

This is another card I have made following this weeks WARM COLOURS theme, I even did a little bit of paper piecing on the shoes:

This is my final sketch:

and the theme I have chosen for this week is:

WARM COLOURS - RedOrangeYellow etc.

Don't forget you don't have to follow the sketch, the theme on it's own is just fine but if you really feel like a challenge you can do both.

This is the inside of my card, I have decorated it using the same papers and layout as the front:

CARD RECIPE:

Alfie With Thanks

Good morning, it's time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge today and it's my turn to host again this week.  Sadly this is going to be the last challenge I will be hosting as I have made the difficult decision to step down from the design team.  It has been over a year now and it is time for me to let someone else have the pleasure of working with the gorgeous Walter and Winnie and Polly Pickleberry images.

This is the card I have made using the fab Alfie and the postbox digital collection:

This is my final sketch:

Quite a simple one again with plenty of scope for you to embellish as you wish.  The theme I have chose for this week is:

WARM COLOURS - RedOrangeYellow etc.

If you really feel like a challenge you can do the Sketch and the Theme but it is not necessary to do both.

You can use anything from your crafty stash but of course we'd love to see something from Willow Designs if you have it. If you use the sketch it's OK to rotate it or re-size the elements and you can add embellishments as you please, just as long as the original sketch layout can be recognised.

This is the inside of my card, I have decorated it using the same papers and layout as the front:

CARD RECIPE:

Image:  Willow Designs - Alfie and the postbox digital collection
Papers:  Willow Designs - Alfie and the postbox digital collection
Card Stock:  Crafter's Companion - Core'dinations

Sparkle and Shine

It's Thursday morning again and it's my turn to host the Willow Sketchie Challenge this week. This is the sketch I have for you

and the theme I have chosen for the week is

Sparkle and Shine
I would like to see some glitter, gems, or gloss etc.

Don't forget - you don't have to follow both the sketch and the theme unless you want to, one or the other will do just fine.

I chose this theme to challenge myself as much as everyone else because, as anyone who knows me will be aware, I rarely use glitter on my cards.  This is the card I have made

Fairy Dance has been coloured with a combination of ProMarkers and FlexMarkers, I also coloured some white Seam Binding to match.  I have used Ice Stickles on her wings, around the outside of the image and on the butterfly embellishments.  This is the first time I have ever used stickles and I love them - will now have to buy some more!  There are also some small gems on the butterflies and on her crown that has also had some gloss added.

This is the inside of my card that has been decorated to match the front

Card Recipe:

Card Stock:  Dies To Die For - Kraft
Tools:  Martha Stewart - Edge Punch, Die-namics - Butterfly Die,
Spellbinders - Classic Rectangles

More cake!

It's Thursday morning again and it's time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge, I have made a card with more cakes on it - I'm trying to make cards with them rather than eating them, it will never last.

I've gone CAS again and just followed the theme - Bright and Bold - provided for us this week by Kelly.  When I asked my husband if he thought my card was Bright and Bold, he replied "It is for you", so I took that as a yes!

This is Kelly's sketch:

You don't have to follow both the sketch and the theme unless you want to, one or the other will do just fine.

I have just used images from the embellishments section on the Polly Pickleberry CD and two of the greetings, I copied them all into word and cropped and re-sized them.  I cut them out with my Spellbinders Standard Circles die and layered them onto Scalloped Circle die cut bases, I tried to arrange them randomly but I'm not sure it quite worked.  The card stock is some scraps from my stash and I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

I apologise for the poor quality of the photographs, but I am really struggling with the light at the moment, the colours really are a lot brighter in real life.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sweet 'n' Sassy Digi Challenge 58 - CAS with 2 layers
Card Crafter's Circle Challenge 27 - Feeling Sentimental - Sentiments
ATC's and Cards with Attitude Challenge 16 - Anything Goes
Send a Smile 4 Kids - Birthday Fun
Divas by Design Challenge 40 - To 'die' for
Crafty Sentiments Challenge - Bright Colours
Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge 62 - Anything Goes
Paper Playtime Challenge 77 - Anything Goes plus add a Sentiment
The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Going in Circles
Crafts and Me Challenge 89 - Anything Goes

Make sure you pop over to the Willow Sketchie Challenge Blog and have a look at the DT inspiration, you have until 20:00 hrs on Wednesday 27th June to enter and the prize is a voucher to spend in the Willow Designs Store. Don't forget you can either follow the sketch and/or the theme.

We are also having a DT call, so why don't you come and join us, you will get to play with lots of fab Willow Designs images.

Thank you for visiting today.

Good morning, it's time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge and this is the card I have made following Hazel's theme:

I have used one of the fab stamps from the new Polly Pickleberry A6 Stamp Collections called 'Eat Cake' available from the Willow Designs Store and made a CAS card.  I stamped the image three times with dusty concord Distress Ink and the sentiment once using the same ink.  I cut them all out using my Spellbinders Classic Square die and then mounted them onto some purple (my favourite colour) Core'dinations card stock.  They are then layered onto white card stock and another matt of purple Core'dinations.

As usual I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front:

This is Hazel's sketch:

You might have noticed that we are now choosing a Top 3 as well as the randomly drawn winner.  The hostess for the week will choose her Top 3 and they can have this fab badge to display on their blog:
