Be Good to Yourself

These are another couple of the cards that I have featured in this months Making Cards Magazine, I  used the Yoga Craft Paper Collection.

As usual I have used very little other than the paper collection because the purpose of these cards is to show what you can create using just the free papers.  I have added some cardstock and computer generated sentiments.  I made the card candi myself using the cardstock and some 3D Crystal Lacquer.

I apologise for not being around as much as normal, my eldest son is moving out at the weekend.  He is starting a new teaching job in September and he and his girlfriend are moving into a new flat together, so things are rather hectic around here at the moment.  I'm going with him to pick up the keys and get a few essentials today before they move in properly tomorrow.

Thank you for popping in today - please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

Making Cards Magazine - August

Have you picked up a copy of the August edition of Making Cards Magazine, if not you can get a copy delivered to your door with free UK P&P HERE.   I have two sets of cards featured in the magazine, four cards using the pretty Mermaid digital download papers and another four using super Yoga Craft Paper Collection.

These are two of the Yoga cards, you probably noticed that they feature the Yoga papers!

I used just the free papers with the addition of some cardstock and computer generated sentiments, the card candi is home made, I just punched three small circles and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Happy Birthday Rosette

This is another card that I have created with my Simon Says Stamp June 2012 Card Kit, I have lots of these very old kits and I'm determined to use them all.

I have used five of the papers from the paper pad and one of the vintage dictionary papers to create the rosette.  I have inked the edges of everything and added an old LOTV stamped sentiment, the twine is from my stash.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated.

21 Again

My eldest son asked me to create a 21st Birthday card for a friend of his and this is what I came up with.

I used some very old papers from my stash along with some dark blue card stock.  The 'happy' is a Tim Holtz die and the 'BIRTHDAY' was made using my Memory Box Alphabet Tile Letters, they are actually square but I decided to trim them into a different shape.  I used some old number dies that I have lost the packaging for and added some hand made card candi.

All roads lead Home

As promised I'm back today with another sneak peek at the wonderful new die collection that Lynda Chapman will be launching on Create and Craft on 21st June, there is also a stunning new paper collection called A Whisper of Winter.

You can find more projects using products from Creative Crafting World HERE.

To create this card I have used just a small part of one of the dies along with two papers from the 8 x 8 inch paper pad and a topper from the 5 x 5 inch Scene and Sentiment Toppers pad.

All I have added is some card stock and card candi.

Blooming Lovely

I managed to have another play with the latest Julie Loves Creativity Box - Wildflowers.

This time I decided to use the papers and one of the sentiments.  I layered it up on two of the papers the first is just a plain die cut circle, the bottom layer is a stitched scalloped circle.

I cut a couple of banners and inked the edges of everything for a slightly vintage feel.  The flowers are also from the kit - I just added some candi from my stash.

Flower Fun

It's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs and the theme for the next fortnight is Add a Sentiment.

I chose this adorable image called Daisy Fun, I coloured them with ProMarkers and used papers from Bearly Mine Designs - sadly now closed.

I enlarged some of the papers and fussy cut the flowers to embellish, I just added some card candi to the centres.

My sentiment is from Pink Petticoat, I cut it out with a Di-namics Fishtail Flag die and inked the edges.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
