Christmas Cheer

I'm back!  Not that I ever completely left - I still managed to sneak in as a Guest Designer for a few challenges, but I'm back as a full time Designer at Crafting for all Seasons and it's time for a new challenge.  The theme for the next fortnight is Christmas in July.

I have made a card using an image from Meljens Designs who are our sponsor for this challenge:

The image is called Christmas Cocoa and I have coloured it with my ProMarkers.  I have used papers from the Dovecraft Vintage Back to Basics collection and inked the edges, the border is an EK Success edge punch and I have made a Poinsettia using a Spellbinders die.  My sentiment is a LOTV stamp and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Songbird Challenge

I have some great news this morning, there is a new challenge blog - SONGBIRD CHALLENGES and today is their first challenge.  Each challenge will be based on a song title or lyric and this one is - ANYTHING GOES - based on the musical of the same name.  I was delighted to be invited to Guest Design for this, their very first challenge and this is my card:

I used the fab image Candy Land Dreams from Meljen's Designs who are sponsoring the challenge.

The papers are Echo Park - Little Boy, I have purchased a digital copy of these papers now, so I'm not afraid to cut into them anymore!  I printed the image several times, in different sizes so that I could decoupage some of the lollipops and also use them as embellishments.  I have added lots of 3D Crystal Lacquer to the image and embellishments which, of course, doesn't show up in the photograph.  The sentiment is computer generated, I wanted something quite simple because I thought this card would be ideal for a child.

The inside of my card has been decorated to complement the front:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Stampavie and More Challenge 173 - Birthday
The Corrosive Challenge 155 - They Say It's Your Birthday

Christmas Fairy

It doesn't seem possible but this is the last Crafting for all Seasons Challenge before Christmas and surprise, surprise we've all been making Christmas Cards.

We have two great sponsors again this week, Meljen's Designs and The Stamping Boutique and this card  has been made using the gorgeous Holly Christmas Fairy image from Meljen's:

I coloured the image with ProMarkers and added some glitter to her hat, dress and wings.  I then cut her out with a Spellbinders Labels Fifteen die and inked the outside before mounting it on a mat made by drawing around the outside of the die and cutting it out.

The papers are Berry Merry by Jennifer Ellory, they were free with Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine and everything has been layered onto Core'dinations card stock.  I cut the sentiment from a piece of Willow Designs backing paper and mounted that on Core'dinations to match, the ribbon is from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday Week 185 - Sketch
One Stop Craft Challenge Week 161 - Traditional Christmas Colours
Meljen's Designs Challenge 88 - Use Green
Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe 49 - Red/Green/Cream
One Stitch at a Time Challenge 92 - Use a Digi

Thank you for looking, don't forget to pop over to Crafting for all Seasons and take a look at the wonderful creations the other DT members have made and enter the challenge.

Please leave me a comment, I'd  love to know what you think.

Warm and Cozy

Time for another Crafting for all Seasons Challenge and this week the theme is Texture.  We have two fabulous sponsors this time - Meljen's Designs who are offering our winner four digis of their choice and The Paper Shelter who are offering a $20 gift certificate, I just wish I could enter.

This is the card I made using the gorgeous Meljen's Designs image 'Cozy Winter Owl':

I just loved working with this image, I coloured it using my ProMarkers and then added some flower soft to his hat and the snow on the branch.  I then cut the image out before layering it onto an embossed die cut.  I layered the Dovecraft papers onto my new favourite Core'dinations - Tim Holtz Kraft-Core, I don't know how I managed before Core'dinations.

I used my edgeabilities to cut a border strip from the same Core'dinations card stock which I then embossed with a wood grain embossing folder and added some raffia and a charm.  A stamped sentiment, die cut snowflake and punched snowflake with gems in the centre finish the card.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

This is the inside of my card, I have decorated it to complement the front:

Image:  Meljen's Designs - Cozy Winter Owl
Papers:  Dovecraft - Jolly Happy Christmas
Tools:  Spellbinders - Edgeabilties Classic Ric Rac, Scalloped Ovals, Scalloped Circles and
Create-A-Flake Three,
Darice Embossing Folders - Wood Grain and Snowflake
Embellishments:  raffia, charm and gems from stash
Sentiment:  Creative Expressions

I would  like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Jingle Belles - Not a CREATURE was stirring
One Stitch at a Time Challenge 86 - Christmas

Thank you for looking, don't forget to pop over to Crafting for all Seasons and take a look at the wonderful creations the other DT members have made and enter the challenge.

CFAS DT Card - Cubbin' Around

Hi everyone, well those two weeks went so quickly, this is my second DT card for the Crafting for all Seasons Challenge.  The challenge this time is Birthday and our sponsor this time is Meljen's Designs, go and check out their shop there are some gorgeous images.

I chose to use this super cute image Cubbin' Around, I think it is suitable for all ages and both male and female cards.

I coloured the image with a combination of ProMarker and Spectrum Noir pens and used distress inks for the background.  The backing paper was a free download, sorry I can't remember where from and I coloured some seam binding for the bow.  The card stock is Core'dinations which I embossed and sanded back to give the grained effect.  A simple stamped sentiment finishes the card.

As usual I've decorated the inside of my card to complement the front.

Image:  Meljen's Designs - Cubbin' Around
Papers:  free download
Tools:  Spellbinders Classic Squares (inside card), Creative Expressions Bark Embossing Folder
Embellishments: seam binding from stash
