I have some great news this morning, there is a new challenge blog - SONGBIRD CHALLENGES and today is their first challenge. Each challenge will be based on a song title or lyric and this one is - ANYTHING GOES - based on the musical of the same name. I was delighted to be invited to Guest Design for this, their very first challenge and this is my card:
I used the fab image Candy Land Dreams from Meljen's Designs who are sponsoring the challenge.
The papers are Echo Park - Little Boy, I have purchased a digital copy of these papers now, so I'm not afraid to cut into them anymore! I printed the image several times, in different sizes so that I could decoupage some of the lollipops and also use them as embellishments. I have added lots of 3D Crystal Lacquer to the image and embellishments which, of course, doesn't show up in the photograph. The sentiment is computer generated, I wanted something quite simple because I thought this card would be ideal for a child.
The inside of my card has been decorated to complement the front:
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Stampavie and More Challenge 173 - Birthday
The Corrosive Challenge 155 - They Say It's Your Birthday
Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge 85 - Birthdays
Delightful Challenges - Delightful Birthday

Patch Flyilng
It's time for some inspiration over at the Crafty Pad today and Estelle and myself are showcasing a couple of Crafty Pad images.
I chose to make a card for a child, something I don't do nearly often enough, it was really fun to make and I am going to make sure I do it more often.
I chose the fab Crafty Pad image 'Patch Flying, I printed him out twice and cut out one image to decoupage him, I always like to have some dimension on my cards. I inked the sky using a mask for the clouds and coloured him with a combination of ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. Full details of everything I have used are listed below.
This is the inside of my card that I have decorated to match the front.
You can just about see the Crystal Lacquer that I have added to the little screen on the aeroplane in this photograph.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crop Stop Challenge 77 - Let's hear it for the Children
Fussy and Fancy Challenge 65 - Boy Attitude
Just Us Girls Inspiration Challenge - Inspiration picture - I was inspired by the reds and yellows
Alphabet Challenge Blog - J for Journey
PanPastel Challenge 24 - Anything Goes
Totally Gorjuss Challenge 137 - Something Yellow
Stamping with the Dragon Challenge - Transportation
My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge 62 - About The Boys
Dream Valley Challenge 35 - Things with Wings (I hope an Aeroplane counts)
Craft Your Passion Challenge 116 - Things with Wings
Make sure you pop over to The Crafty Pad Shop and have a look at the wonderful digi images, papers and card downloads, there are usually some specials on offer so you might even grab yourself a bargain.
Thank you for stopping by today, I really do appreciate your company.

Crafting for all Seasons 1st Birthday Challenge and Blog Hop
It's Birthday time at Crafting for all Seasons, the challenge has been going for a whole year and to celebrate we are having a Blog Hop. But first thank you to everyone who joined us for our Handmade Flowers challenge we had so many beautiful entries, I do hope you will all join us again this week for our Birthday Celebrations. The challenge this week is 'It's a Celebration' with Buttons - we would like you to use some buttons on your project. This is what I have made:
I wanted to do something a little bit different for our 1st Birthday so I made a 1st Birthday card and matching Gift Bag. The image is from TeddyBo and the papers are Echo Park - Little Boy, they have been hiding in my ever growing paper stash for ages.
I coloured the image with ProMarkers and paper pieced the number one and added some Crystal Lacquer to it:
The border was cut using Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Ric Rac, I cut the sentiment from a Crafty Pad Ticket Sentiment and backed it on the same red Core'dinations card stock that I used throughout. The buttons and thread are from my stash:
As usual, I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front:
I used the same image, papers and layout for the gift bag:
and also decorated the back to complement the front:
I apologise for the number of photographs but I wanted to show everything, it took me so long to make it all I was nearly late for the challenge.
I would like to enter this card and gift bag into the following challenges:
Lollipop Crafts Challenge 80 - Just for Him
The Pink Elephant Challenge 148 - Polka Dots and Stripes
Sentimental Sundays Challenge 102 - Birthday - Buttons

Guitar Hero
This is a card that I have made for my eldest son to give a friend. The friend is the lead guitar player in the band that my son sings and plays guitar in called 'Talking to Amy', so his card had to have a guitar on it.
I have made two cards to give Matt a choice, this one is quite simple, all I have used is one sheet of Best Creation Inc 'Rock Star' 6x6 glitter paper for the front and a co-ordinating sheet for the inside. The base card is some onyx Stardream card from Joanna Sheen and I also die cut the star with my X-Cut die from the same card stock.
I stamped the numbers with my Penny Black number set 'who's counting' onto some co-ordinating paper and coloured them with Pro-Markers. After cutting them out I glossed them with 3D Crystal Laquer.
The larger star on the inside of the card was also cut from the Stardream card stock with my X-Cut die, the smaller star was cut with a smaller die on some co-ordinating paper.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge 108 - Try Something New (I don't normally do simple cards)
Lollipop Crafts Challenge 68 - Anything Goes
Crafting When We Can Challenge 12 - Big Birthdays (I hope 16 qualifies)
Dream Valley Challenge 26 - Just for Men
Hotshot Craft Challenge 4 - One for the boys
Thank you for looking.
