This is the card I made for my Mum for her 84th Birthday.
She loves flowers and nice words so I got out my Joanna Sheen 'If Flowers Could Talk' CD and soon chose this image. I printed it out several times and decoupaged some of the pretty Pansies or are they Violas, I'm not sure. The backing papers also came from the CD and I have layered everything onto Core'dinations card stock. The sentiment is LOTV layered onto a Spellbinders Scalloped Circle die cut and the ribbon was also from Joanna Sheen.
I decorated the inside of my card the same as the front using another copy of the image but removing the words so that I could write my own.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The CD Sunday Challenge - Gorgeous Green (I hope I have enough green)
Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge 13 - For the Girls
Lollipop Crafts Challenge 83 - Flowers in Bloom
2 Sisters Challenge 94 - Inside and Out

Opus Gluei Challenge 132 - It's all relative
The Ribbon Girl Monthly Card Challenge - Use Ribbon or Lace
Sentimental Sundays Challenge 105 - Show me your SPOTS

CAS at The Crafty Pad
Good morning, it's time for some fabulous new releases at The Crafty Pad. We are giving all our readers the opportunity to win the entire set, read on to find out more.
I was lucky enough to be given this gorgeous image called 'Bird Silhouette' to work with. As soon as I saw it I just knew I wanted to make a CAS card, as anyone who knows me will realise this is something quite different for me. My inspiration came from last weeks sketch over at Clean & Simple Stamping, unfortunately I'm to late to enter my card into their challenge.
I copied the image into word and changed the colour to match the Core'dinations card stock that I had decided to use, I then re-sized the image to fit inside my Spellbinders Scalloped Oval die. I did things the hard way and printed the image, cut it out and then placed it behind the die cut frame, when I thought about it later I realised I could have printed the white panel with everything on it in one go and just placed the die cut frame on top - I'll know next time.
The 'Thank You' text was created in word and printed directly onto the white panel. I cropped the little bird from the main image and re-sized it before cutting it out and adhering it to the finished card. The scalloped edge at the bottom of my card was made using a Martha Stewart edge punch.
I decorated the inside of my card to complement the front making sure that I left plenty of blank space to write my thank you note.
I did enjoy making this card, but although the style is clean and simple they certainly are not simple to make, you have to be really accurate in everything you do because the slightest imperfection really does show.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Card Makin' Mamas Challenge 46 - Feeling Punchy!
4 Crafty Chicks Challenge 92 - Branching Out
Little Miss Muffet Challenge 36 - Rainbows, Clouds or Wings
Shelly's Images Challenge - Pick at least Two (Blue, Digi, Monochromatic, Punched Border)
One Stitch at a Time Challenge 116 - Use a Digi
That Craft Place Challenge 12 - Trees and Nature
The Secret Crafter Challenge 188 - Anything Goes
The Cutie Pie Challenge 19 - Die Cuts & Punches
Quirky Crafts Challenge 12 - Up, Up and Away (or The Sky's the Limit)
Divas by Design Chalenge 37 - Anything Goes
Make sure you pop over the The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog and look at all the DT inspiration and then make a visit to The Crafty Pad Designs Shop and check out the new images.

Wishing you Happiness
Good morning, it's time for another Willow Sketchie Challenge and this is the card I have made following Shell's great sketch:
This is Shell's sketch:
and she has chosen the theme: Make your own backing papers.
You don't have to follow both the sketch and the theme unless you want to, one or the other will do just fine.
I have used the gorgeous digi image - Fairy Jangles available from the Willow Designs Store and coloured her with ProMarkers, her wand has been glazed and some gems added to her crown.

Sorry Shell, I just don't do handmade papers, (as the Glitter Girls would say - because I can't). Make sure you pop over the the Willow Sketchie Challenge Blog and look at the other DT's fab papers, they really put me to shame.
My papers are Bearly Mine Designs Summer's Roses and Mini Dots and everything has been layered onto some purple card stock that I had in my stash. I put the corner through my ribbler to incorporate some texture and added some buttons and gems also from my stash.
As usual I have decorated the inside of my card:
I also made a little pocket and inserted a tag that has been cut out and embossed with my Cuttlebug Embossed Tags folder, the sentiment is a Creative Expressions stamp.

All Our Yesterdays
It's time for a new challenge over at Crafting for all Seasons and this time the theme is - Many Layers. I also need to announce the winner of my blog candy, thank you to everyone who joined in the fun, the randomly drawn winner from the comments left on my blog was:
Well, 'Many Layers' means only one thing to me - DECOUPAGE - so I decided to use some of my Joanna Sheen's Faye Whitaker 'All Our Yesterdays' Decoupage for this challenge and I followed the sketch at retro sketches - my card is very different in style from the DT cards and all the other entries, but I think I will still give it a go.
The papers are a free download from Crafter's Companion, I have my great team mate Helen, aka Crafty Mama Mia, from The Crafty Pad DT to thank for reminding me about these. I don't know about you, but I always download freebies and then promptly forget that they exist! The card stock is Core'dinations and the sentiment is a Studio Light stamp. I used a spellbinders die to cut the little scalloped edges on the sentiment and the border and the raffia is from my stash.
This is the inside of my card:
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time Challenge 115 - Red, White and Blue
