Tricolour Pansy

I have made this card for my Mother in Law, she loves anything Floral and purple and green is one of my favourite colour combinations.

I have used one of Joanna Sheen's Jane Shasky Cardmaking pads and my inspiration came from a card made by Joanna in the Making Cards Magazine, I used two of the Pansy sheets so that I could cut the pansies out and decoupage them.

The gingham paper is from the Jayne Netley Mayhew Digistamp CD and I have used my Simon Says Stamp Mum die, I cut it out three times and layered them up.  The bow is a Lil' Inker Designs die and the scalloped border is a Fiskars edge punch.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Words 2 Scrap By Challenge 35 - Bloom Where You Are Planted

I coloured him with ProMarkers and cut him out with a Lil'Inker Die, my papers are from the new Printemps paper pack by Pink Petticoat.  I stamped the blank LOTV tag outline onto a Pink Petticoat sentiment and added a flower and button from my stash.  The border is an EK Success punch and the ribbon is also from my stash.

Christmas Robin

This is the last Christmas card from 2013 that I haven't posted yet.  I made similar ones for my Mum and Dad that I posted HERE just before Christmas, this one was for my Mother-in-Law.

On the ones for my Mum and Dad I used red card stock, but I ran out of the red so I used green on this one - I think I actually prefer the green.

I have used another gorgeous Robin topper, I added some glitter to give it some sparkle. The papers are from the Docrafts Little Red Robin Collection and the sentiment is LOTV stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder. The punched border is an X-cut punch and the ivy is a Die'sire die cut. The poinsettias have been made with a Spellbinders die and the paper bow is a Lil' Inker die.

I decorated the inside using the same papers and design.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Creative Moments Challenge 35 - Anything Goes/Add some Sparkle
Simply Create Too Challenge 53 - Mother's Day or for a Female

Bundle of Love

I'm so excited to announce that I have been invited to join the Pink Gem Design Team - I couldn't believe it when I received an email from Janet, the talented designer and owner of Pink Gem Designs, asking me if I would like to join them.  I have been cutting back on my DT work but this was one offer I simply could not refuse.

I am joining the GEMS team and it is our turn to host the challenge this week, our theme is Something NEW (baby/ stash/home etc) chosen by SUE.

I discovered this adorable Cutie Pie Decoupage image in the Pink Gem Shop and you know me, I can't resist decoupage.

I have teamed the gorgeous image with one of my new stencils and some Pearlescent embossing paste. The hearts are an X-cut die and the circles are a combination of Lil' Inker and Tonic dies, the sentiment tags are LOTV and the ribbon is from my stash.  I also added some Stickles to the outside of the image.

It's a bit difficult to see the decoupage layers, but I promise they are there!  The pink is not quite this bright in real life but I am struggling with the light at the moment, it's either too bright or too dark.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

MilkCoffee Challenge - Celebrations
Sparkle N Sprinkle January Challenge - Anything Goes: use glitter
Really Reasonable Ribbon's Challenge 86 - Pink and Ribbon
Creative Inspirations Challenge 246 - Celebration!
Little Red Wagon Challenge 218 - New Beginnings!

A Little Bit Crafty Challenge - Celebrate!
A Creative Romance Challenge - Something New
Brown Sugar Challenge 75 - Use Ribbon or Twine

The punched border is an X-cut punch and the ivy is a Die'sire die cut.  The poinsettias have been made with a Spellbinders die and the paper bows are a Lil' Inker die.

Happy 18th Birthday

It was my eldest son's 18th Birthday yesterday and this is one of the cards I made for him.

I always find making cards for my eldest difficult, but cards for his 18th Birthday have to be among the most difficult I've ever made.

I used an Indigo Blu stencil and silver embossing paste to make the musical notes and cut the three circles with my Lil' Inker dies. The stars are an X-Cut die and the 18 was cut with Die-namics dies.  I computer generated the sentiment and the headphones are also from Indigo Blu.

I have decorated the inside of the card,

and made a matching tag.

Picked Flowers

This is the card I have made for the current challenge over at A Day for Daisies, the theme is monochrome.  I bought this adorable image a couple of weeks ago - she is just so gorgeous.

I apologise for the poor photo quality, I'm still struggling with my son's camera, I will be so pleased when hubby gets back from India with the one I usually use.

I have coloured her with pale blue ProMarkers to match my Papermania papers and made a paper bow with a fabulous little die from Lil' Inker Designs.  The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat, I added some gems to the corners and some stickles to the flowers in her hair.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
