Bee-lated Birthday Wishes

This is my card for this weeks Less is More Challenge - it's the dreaded One Layer Card this week and the challenge is to 'Adapt A Fingerprint'.

I've cheated a little bit and used two Pink Petticoat images of Bees - I used my fingerprint to colour them with Mustard Seed Distress Ink, I also added a little clear Wink of Stella glitter to their wings.

I used a Crafters Workshop stencil and some more Mustard Seed Distress Ink to create the background.  I really wanted to add a layer of yellow card stock but as it has to be a One Layer card I just inked the edges a little.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Less is More Week 180 - One Layer Card
That's Crafty! Challenge Blog - Masks, Stencils, Templates
Divas by Design - Things with wings
CAS on Sunday Challenge 37 - One layer wonder
Lexi's Creations Challenge 120 - Black and White plus one other Color

Thank you so much for visiting me today, I always appreciate you taking the time to pop in.

Beside the Seaside

This is a very simple card that I have made using a fabulous new image from Pink Gem Designs called Beach Hut.

The digi stamp is a single beach hut - I copied it and layered it up to create my little scene.  I coloured it with ProMarkers trying to keep it very simple and washed out - I'm not sure I actually succeeded though!

The little banner has been hand cut from some Pink Petticoat papers.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Fab 'n' Funky Challenge 223 - Feels like Summer
Whimsy Inspirations Challenge 72 - Summertime
Creative Fingers Challenge 43 - Anything Goes/Summer

Thank you for calling this morning, please leave a comment so that I know you've been and will be able to come and visit you.

Earth Tones

I'm gradually getting back into the swing of things after being poorly and then going away for a week.  I've managed a card for the Less is More Challenge this week - the theme is Earth Tones.

I decided to make a Thank You card - Laurence will need a few of these to say thank you for his Birthday gifts.

I have been wanting to try the inset die cutting technique for quite some time now so I thought I would give it a go on this card.  The papers are from the First Edition J'Adore collection and the beige card stock is from my stash.  The 'thank you' is a Die-namics die cut and I have punched a border with an EK Success punch.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Less is More Week 179 - Earth Tones
Everybody Art Challenge 286 - Monocrome
Fan-Tastic Tuesday Challenge 43 - Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart Challenge 26 - Anything Goes

Thank you for calling this morning, please leave a comment so that I know you've been and will be able to come and visit you.

Seaside Fun

It's time for our mid challenge reminder at the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge, this fortnight it's Lorraine's turn to host and she has chosen everyone's favourite theme: Anything Goes.

I have missed the last few weeks due to being poorly and then going on holiday for a week so I'm really pleased that I have managed a card this time.

I've used a fabulous decoupage image from Joanna Sheen's House-Mouse Silly Summer collection and papers from the House-Mouse Triple CD and Bearly Mine Designs.

I have used Kraft card stock and burlap ribbon, I also attached some shell beads from an old necklace with some twine.  The banner is a Die-namics die and the border is an EK Success punch.   I collected the little shells whilst on our holiday.  You can just about see some of the decoupage layers in this photograph.

This challenge is being sponsored by:
