Birthday Wishes for You

Well it's Wednesday afternoon again and that means it's time for a new challenge at Crafting for all Seasons and our theme this fortnight is 'USE FLOWERS'.

We have three great sponsors for this challenge:

I have decided to use the beautiful 'Nevaeh' image from Saturated Canary  I rarely use Saturated Canary images because I feel I cannot do justice to the gorgeous hair - my colouring skills need much more practice - I feel a New Years Resolution forming here!

I have followed the sketch from the Saturated Canary Challenge, coloured her with ProMarkers and my papers are one of the Nitwit Collections, I had printed them out ages ago and found them when sorting out my Craft Room (which is still ongoing).  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card to complement the front using the same layout and papers but I'm afraid there is no photograph today as I just couldn't get one that was good enough to show - for some reason the colours were not coming out true.
Card Recipe:

Image:  Saturated Canary - Nevaeh

Music Bear

Good morning, I hope everyone is well and enjoying the new week. We have a new challenge for you at Bearly Mine Designs and this week the theme is - BLUE AND SILVER.

My decoupage image is from The Best of La Pashe Decoupage CD ROM and the papers are Bearly Mine Designs - Christmas Wishes.  This is going to be my youngest sons Christmas card - he loves music and bears - I would normally put his name on the front but it just didn't look right no matter where I put it, so I will just write on the inside.

I have die cut the stars from corrugated card - I just love the texture and look you get from this, the little star buttons have been hiding in my stash for ages.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below.

I have decorated the inside of my card using the same papers and layout as the front:

Christmas Robin

This is my fourth and final week as Guest Designer for the CD Sunday Challenge and our theme this week is 'Inspired by Nature'.  I would like to thank the CD Sunday Team for inviting me to Guest Design for them, I have thoroughly enjoyed the month I have spent with them.

I have used an image and papers from my Joanna Sheen - The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection Part 2 CD.  I use this image every year on a Christmas card, I love it so much.  It is not actually a decoupage image on the CD so I print it out multiple times and make my own.

I have decorated the inside of my card using the same layout and papers along with a small image that is actually on the backing papers.

Card Recipe:

Image and Papers:  Joanna Sheen - The Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection
Part 2
Card Stock:  Crafter's Companion - Core'dinations
Tools:  Spellbinders -  Twisted Metal Tags and Accents and Classic Square (inside card)

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge 196 - Make a card or project that makes you feel Happy!
My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge 85 - Inspiration from a song (When The Red Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin' Along)

Thank you for joining me today, please pop over to The CD Sunday Challenge Blog and have a look at the DT inspiration, we would love for you to join in with our 'Inspired by Nature' Challenge this week.  All you need to do is use something from a CD - even if only a small piece of paper or embellishment and make sure you give credit to the CD you have used.

I hope you are all having a fab weekend.

Snowman Couple

Good Morning everyone, it's time for a new Challenge over at The Crafty Pad, it was my turn to choose the theme this week and I decided to challenge myself and have chosen - Add Some Glitter - it can be anything you like as long as we can see some glitter.

Those of you who know me will be aware that I don't often use glitter, the occasional stickles and that's about it.  Well I remembered why that was when making my card - I managed to get glitter absolutely everywhere, you've never seen such a mess!  My image is The Crafty Pad - Snowman Couple - don't they just look jolly.

I've gone for a silver and white theme with just the splash of blue ProMarker on their hats, gloves and scarves.  The silver is mainly glitter, I'm amazed any managed to get on the card there was so much all over me and my craft room.  I sponged a little background for my snowman couple with distress ink and then embossed some snowflakes onto it, you can just about see it behind them.  I then layered my die cut trees and snowman couple on top of it.  The snowflakes and stars are from my stash and I cut the sentiment from one of last years Christmas cards.

I didn't quite know what to do to decorate the inside of my card because I had not used any designer papers so I kept it very simple using the square that I had die cut from the front of my card and some silver mirror card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

2 Sisters Challenge 119 - Winter Wonderland
Challenge up your life Challenge 83  - 1st Snow
Creatalicious Challenge 40 - Winter
Scrap It Girl November Challenge - Tree
Sparkles Monthly Challenge 38 - Christmas is coming
Crafty Catz Challenge 160 - Snowflakes - Stars - Sentiment
Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge 93 - Christmas
PanPastel Challenge 46 - Frosty and Bright
Stamptacular Sunday 191 - Winter Bliss (I created my scene using a digi stamp, die cut trees, embossed and inked background)
Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge 22 - Use some Texture (embossed snowflakes on background and lots of glitter)

Make sure you pop over the The Craft Pad Challenge blog, check out the DT projects and join us for our 'Add Some Glitter' Challenge.

Thank you for calling today, I hope you are having a great weekend.

Liebster Blog Award

My lovely blog friend Arty Andrea has very kindly presented me with the Liebster Award, thank you so much Andrea for your generosity and kind words.

To keep this award alive and thriving I have to choose five people who inspire me and pass it on to them.  It is so difficult to choose just five, but eventually I have chosen the following blog friends, all of whom inspire and encourage me with their creativity, company, kind comments and support:

Andrea - KandA Creative Moments Blog
Betty - Betty's Crafty Place
Jane - cutecrittercards
Michelle - The Messy Barn
Rachel - Fisher's Cards and Crafts

I have copied this explanation directly from Andrea's blog as I did not want to get the rules wrong:

“Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved," “Favourite," or "Dearest. "This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favourite blogger with less than 200 followers.”

Rules.
*Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog.
*Post the award on your blog.
*Give the award to five bloggers who appreciate, and have less than 200 followers.
* Leave a comment on their blog to let them know you have given them this awesome award!

Do keep this going and show your appreciation for other bloggers out there who deserve this award.

If you have already received this award and passed it on, then you have already ensured its continuity.

If you feel able, please pass this award on to five blog friends who encourage and inspire you.
