Life is ....

I'm a bit late today - we've been into Salisbury for a lovely Sunday lunch, my 17 year old drove us there and back.  It really hit's home that they are growing up when they start doing things like driving!

Enough of my waffling, this is my card for this weeks Seize the Birthday Challenge, it's the feminine week this week and we have a new sketch to follow.

Everything on my card is from My Craft Studio, the scalloped border is a Fiskars edge punch and I have layered all of the elements onto Kraft card stock.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hiding in my Craft Room Challenge 92 - Yellow, Green and Pink
MilkCoffee Challenge - Anything but Square
Shelly's Images TTT Challenge - Use Scallops
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments Challenge - Green, Yellow and one other (Pink)
Seize the Birthday Challenge 12 - Sketch and Feminine Birthday Card

Thank you for calling today, I appreciate the company.

The image is from Joanna Sheen's Giordano Puppies and Kittens CD and the papers are from My Craft Studio.  I have layered everything onto dark brown card stock and added a ribbon and some pearls, the little sentiment tags are LOTV.

Praying Angel

Good evening, I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend.  I'm a bit late today because I've been to Southsea to watch my husband run in a 10k race along the sea front, it was a bit windy but at least it didn't rain.  He came 38th out of 322 not bad for an old man (don't tell him I said that) and considering he's only been running for about four months.

My card today is for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge which is a sketch by Samantha, I do like sketch challenges.

I chose the lovely LOTV Christmas Angels Die cut image - Praying, they're just so sweet and this will be another Christmas card to sell at the Craft Fair I'm doing in November.

I decided to do another easel card and used some of my Bo Bunny Father Christmas Collection papers on a base of gold card stock from my stash.  I matted the image onto a gold die cut and the flourish is also a die cut.  I made the paper Christmas Rose using My Craft Studio Paper Flower Expert.  The sentiment is a Polka Doodles stamp and I added some gold pearls to finish the card.

A slightly different view, I'm never quite sure how to photograph an easel card.

Christmas Hugs

Well, that's another weekend over, they just fly by so quickly.  This is a card that I've made to enter this weeks LOTV Challenge 110 - a sketch by Pops - it's a great sketch with loads of lovely layers.

I used one of the Christmas Girls Die Cut Designs and teamed it up with some NitWit papers.  I made some Poinsettia flowers with the My Craft Studio Embellishment Attic CD, I don't usually buy My Craft Studio CD's because I've been a little disappointed with them in the past, however I have to admit I'm quite pleased with this one.  I didn't have any red ribbon so I coloured some seam binding with a Ruby ProMarker.  Full details of everything I have used are listed below

This is the inside of my card.
