Forever Remembered

I have combined two Hunkydory Moonstone die sets to create this card, I used one of the Floral Favourites Snippables and one of the Filigree Flowers Collection, I think they match perfectly.

I decided to create an easel card and used the Lilly die from both sets, I only used four layers of the snippables, there are eight if you really like lots of decoupage layers, I used two more layers on the base of the card along with a die cut sentiment from the collection.  The green layer of papers is part of the paper pad that contains the images and the peach is from a very old Anna Marie Designs paper pad.

Finding Paradise

I have another card to share using papers from Dovecraft, this time I have used papers and a topper from the Finding Paradise collection to create a Triangle Corner Pop-up Card.

It is the first time I have created this style of card and I have to say, I was surprised just how quick and easy it was!  I used two of the 8 x 8" papers from the collection along with a topper, the sentiment is an old Craftwork cards one, I fussy cut the little flowers from some leftover papers.

Paper Posies

I have created this card with the Dovecraft Paper Posies collection, I used papers from the 6 x 6 Paper Pad and a decoupage topper.

The papers in this collection are so pretty, I used three of them on my card along with some pink cardstock, I cut the banners with my Die-namics Fishtail Flag dies and used foam pads between the decoupage layers.

Complete Facebook Live Project

I have finally managed to complete the projects that Clare taught us how to make in last weekends Facebook Live Workshop - you can find the other projects that I created HERE.  If you would like to learn how to make boxes, various albums and other projects make sure you check out the My Creative Spirit shop, there are lots to choose from.

Clare showed us how to create a Brag Book using acetate to go in the pocket in the box lid, but as me and acetate really do not get along, I decided to create this Clutch Wallet Mini Album following a tutorial by Einat Kessler.

This is the front of the Mini Album.

This is the Album with the top and bottom flaps open to reveal two accordion flaps.

Below you can see one of the accordion flaps opened out to reveal space for three photographs.

This is the other side of the accordion flap with room for three more photographs.

Both flaps open to reveal a small pocket in the centre.

This is the complete Facebook Live project, with the Albums inside.

Life's a Beach

I have a card to share today, I am trying to use up my Graphic 45 Sun Kissed collection - I'm nearly there!

I saw a card created by Kathy by Design with lots of rosettes on it and thought they were perfect for the Beach themed Sun Kissed collection.  I used my Tim Holtz Paper Rosette die to cut three from the papers, I trimmed two of them to make them all different sizes, I also added a little fishtail flag cut with my favourite Die-namics die.

Sun Kissed Album

This is the album that I created in the My Creative Spirit FaceBook Live Workshop that I took part in last weekend, the class was run by Clare, as always and we created a box, album and brag book, you can see the box that I created HERE.

Above you can see the album front cover and below is the inside cover and front of the first page, I used the Graphic 45 Sun Kissed collection to decorate all three of my projects.

Below you can see the back of the first page, it has a belly band down the centre and the front of the second page, there are two flaps, they are secured with a magnetic closure.

The next photograph shows the flaps opened out, there is a little tuck spot that can hold a photograph or Ephemera/Journaling card.

This is the centre of the album, there are two flaps that open, you can attach photographs or Ephemera/Journaling cards.

Below you can see the flaps opened.

The next photograph shows the back of the third page and the front of the fourth page, it is a repeat of pages one and two but the opposite way around.

The next photograph shows the flaps open, there is another pocket on the outside edge.

Finally, this is the back of the fourth page and the inside of the back cover, a repeat of the front and first page.

Clare runs a workshop about every three weeks, if you can't attend live or don't manage to keep up they are online so you can go back as often as you like - pop over to My Creative Spirt and check them all out, you can also purchase them after the event and complete them at your leisure.

Happy Father's Day

This is another Father's Day card that I created with the Docrafts Mr. Mister collection, I managed to design this one without the help of Pinterest.

I used three of the papers and one of the decoupage toppers, there are lots of layers.  I added the Father's Day sentiment over the top of a little cup, it was also from the collection and added a verse to the inside.

Another Facebook Live Workshop

I attended another Facebook Live Workshop with Clare from My Creative Spirit last weekend, this was Number 21 and as always it was great fun.

We made this box, it has room inside for an Album, that Clare also showed us how to create along with a brag book to place in the pocket in the lid.  I chose to use the Graphic 45 Sun Kissed collection to cover my box, this is such a beautiful collection.   I apologise for the rubbish photographs, I'm really struggling with the poor light at the moment.

You're the Best

As anyone that follows my bog will know, I really struggle when it comes to making cards for family or close friends and it was certainly the case when I sat down to create a Father's Day card for my son to give his Dad.  I turned to my usual place to go when I struggle and found this card on Pinterest, it was pinned from the Docrafts site which unfortunately is no longer there!

My card is very slightly different but not much -  I left a couple of bits off, added a banner and computer generated the sentiment, I also decorated the inside and added a little verse.

Thank you for popping in today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Enjoy the little things

This is my latest make using the Graphic 45 Bloom collection, it is another album.  This time I have used a Graphic 45 ATC Tag & Pocket Album, it is only 4 x 5 " but it has four sections each with three double sided pages so I will only show you a few of them.

Above is the front cover, I used part of the signature sheet along with a chipboard piece and a fussy cut butterfly.

Above and below you can see some of the pages, these two have ready made pockets with a Graphic 45 ATC size tag in them.

The next page also as a ready made pocket and ATC size tag.

On the next page I made the pocket and added a belly band to the other page.

The next photo is the inside of the front cover and the first page, I added a little pocket so that I could add a Journaling/Ephemera card.

Finally, this is the inside of the back cover, I created another pocket to display a Journaling/Ephemera card.

I enjoyed making this project but there were rather a lot of pages, I seem to run out of steam towards the end!

Garden Blooms

I am still trying to use up my Graphic 45 Bloom collection, I think I am going to admit defeat very soon and put the remainder away for another day!

I have used three of the beautiful papers along with an image from the cut-apart sheet and a sentiment from the sticker sheet. I have added some flowers and leaves cut with a Crafter's Companion Die and some Hunkydory Gems.

Garden Happiness

I have not been creating very much this week, my youngest son took a weeks leave from work so we have been having a few trips out - I did find time to make this card though.

I am still using up my Graphic 45 Bloom collection, I used the cover sheet along with scraps of 12 x 12 paper and 8 x 8 paper.  The focal point is an ephemera/journal card and I fussy cut some flowers and butterflies.

These are a couple of photographs from a trip to the woods with the dogs, we are really lucky where we live, we have some lovely woodlands, lots of fresh water streams and parks, also we are not far from the beach.

This is Ludgershall Castle, a local 11th Century ruin.

Bloom

I have created another Cascading Gatefold card, this time it is a 6 x 6 " card and I have used my Graphic 45 Bloom collection.

Sam Calcott - Mixed Up Craft has a video on her YouTube channel HERE that shows how to make one of these so if you are not sure pop over and take a look.

I used two of the beautiful papers along with two border strips to create this card, there are two sheets of each paper in the 12 x 12 collection which is really useful when you when you need two of something.  The image on the belly band is from the sticker sheet that comes with the 12 x 12 papers and I used a Hunkydory die to cut the butterflies from one of the 12 x 12 Patterns and Solids.

We took the dogs to the beach yesterday, it was lovely and quiet - Ramsey loves the beach but Jasper had never been due to lockdown, he thought the waves were very interesting but he didn't bark at them which was a bit of a surprise, he barks at most things!  We had a lovely Fish and Chip lunch at a little cafĂ© and then headed home before it got hot, it made a nice change.
